I called last Saturday night to get price quote for early Sunday morning tow to avoid Church traffic, explained the car tow location, was told 175.00 by dispatch. Called Sunday morning to request service, was then quoted 195.00 by dispatch. After tow truck arrived and moved the car driver called dispatch for price which went up to 250.00. Ridiculous price jump in less than 24 hours, 75.00 hike to move car from front of house to side driveway. Tow truck driver did a great job, however, dispatch did not. Set a price and stick to it. Will not use again, because of price gouging.

Probably the worst business and customer service I’ve ever experienced.1. NO ONE IS HERE!!! (They only have cameras then they come hours later.)2. When I asked for an estimated time, they were never able to tell me.3. On the phone, they weren’t consistent on what was about to happen. Example, “yes, there on the way”…*calls back* “Oh we have to wait on someone”SO UNPROFESSIONAL!

IF YOU ARE STRANDED AND NEED A TOW TRUCK CALL THESE GUYS NOW!Ended up in a tight spot. One of those situations where you break down in a not so great spot on the side of the highway and with a phone battery of 5%. Almost didnt call them because the Google Rating and I will tell you that is a mistake. These guys were awesome and professional. They made sure to get all the detailed information of where I was, landmarks around me etc so that if my phone died they could find me. After they found me and we got rigged up they let me charge my phone and dropped me off at a Whataburger so I could get something to eat while I waited for someone to pick me up.

Ive had bad experiences with tow companies claiming to be 24/7 that dont answer their phones, but A-1 answered my midnight call and dealt with the tow very professionally and were very affordable as well. Thank you!!

We live in Comanche Texas about two hours away from Fort Worth. My wife and daughter were at Cook children’s hospital Monday for tests. Her 2017 GMC Yukon XL brakes went out in the parking garage. A1 was called and managed to get the vehicle out of the garage and to Hiley Buick GMC for repairs. A1 responded quickly. Coming from a small town, it is nice to know that we have such good neighbors in the big city. Thank you A1 wrecker service!

I seldom leave reviews, but my wife had a dead battery, asked the driver to help her, willing to pay, and he said, Yea, $150 I was on the phone and heard it. Seriously, $150 to jump start a car, when youre already in the same parking lot?!?!Then when I called to verify with the company the lady on the phone got a horrible attitude. I admittedly lost my temper after she finally said, What do you want, Do you want the service or not? Thats when I lost it. You said you appreciate the reviews so you can address the issues, however, I have almost exactly the same complaint you have been getting constantly for 3 years. The city contract clearly keeps you in business.Im in the service industry, and will make sure NONE of my customers use this business.

I called to make arrangements for my mom’s car that was totaled in an accident. They saved me a ton of stress by scraping the car for me. I was then able to focus on my family during a really tough time. I just want to say thank you A-1!

On Thursday, my 90 year-old grandfather was in a bad accident. Fort Worth Police had A-1 take his car, which is expected and totally fine.I showed up today, thinking their 24-hour open policy also meant they would be open for me to get items out of the car so his auto insurance company could get their claims process started. After calling this was not to be true, and I then decided that this was the most atrocious interaction Ive had with anyone.The lady at A-1 that answered the phone had an immediate attitude. Explained that their hours for receiving items out of the car was only for M-F from 8-3, which is fine. Not a big deal. She then proceeded to ask me if my name was on the insurance for the vehicle, to which I answered no. She then proceeded to tell me that only the person on the insurance policy would be able to get into the car.Naturally, I explained that he is in the hospital, undergoing surgery tomorrow, and will be in rehab for 3 months, therefore will not be able to get to the car. She offered NO alternative or help as to what we could do and had a horrible attitude with me over the phone. I explained that I just wanted help and some suggestions, and she had nothing to offer.Hopefully Fort Worth Police will consider using a different wrecker service. Absolutely ridiculous.

Really great service. They told me the price up front before they dispatched a driver. It wasnt an emergency so I told them to take their time so I cannot speak to how fast they may get there in an emergency but they were there in about an hour for a non-emergency.The driver, Oscar, was very capable and I felt like I could trust him with my car.He made me comfortable and we had a nice talk on the way to the tire place. I would recommend this service.

I initially left a very negative review, as I see the majority for this company are, with the exception of a few with obvious agendas. Most obvious, those who dont review under their own Google Account but use someone elses Google Account to leave their review. I am editing my original review only because my son thinks I may have left feed back, naming the wrong person. Id hate for the wrong person to get wrongfully accused, and am reviewing without including names. I called to get some info on how to have my sons car released to him if he lost his ID. I was only calling because he was frustrated, and had let me know the woman he originally spoke with was extremely rude and unhelpful. I called to see if I could do any better with obtaining the information he needed, and had the same experience, she even hung up on me. Its a very COWARDLY move to hang up on someone because they are justifiably upset, it shows a lack of intellectual reasoning skillsand ability to problem solve. I hate to call someone out for being simple minded, but at the same time, its your job to deal with others and some degree of intellect is needed. That is what effective customer service is all about. Again, I only called to help my son get the info he needed since he was not happy with how he was being spoken too, and He informed me the lady was very rude. The second young lady who spoke with me, solved the problem in about a minute. She simply listened to me and by that time I was very upset. She heard me out and gave us the information we needed, asap. Granted the other woman may have been telling us that same info, yet if she was, we did not understand it and her communication skills left much to be desired. When dealing with the public, particularly in a towing business be prepared to deal with stressed out, upset customers. Implementing effective listening skills is all it takes most of the time to diffuse the situation, and help out a disgruntled customer.

If I could give a 0 (zero) I would. The ABSOLUTE worst! I am going to put a call and letter in to FWPD. Not sure who A1 Wrecker paid off to be on the FWPD Collision Departments list to tow automobiles but I am going to find out. We were hit the police called them. And they treat us like dirt while we are waiting on the perpetrators Insurance Company to file the claim. Ugly ugly people. Avoid at ALL costs!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Call didn’t last more than 3 minutes without receiving an attitude from the lady on the desk. She became rude when I asked what their rate is, and couldn’t get a basic price from her. Avoid tow service that don’t share prices for basic per mile and fixed hook up fee like these people. Call ended with her silently not responding to a basic question after I asked her to please speak to me politely.

I DID NOT GET MY CAR TOWED WITH THEM SO CANT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE SERVICE EXECPT FOR THIS COMPANY GAVE ME THE MOST EXPENSIVE QUOTE OUT OF EVERYONE I CALLED. We had Bob come and pick our car up during a flash flood because my car stopped running. He was so sweet, kind and professional and went above and beyond to help us out during this stressful time. Please let Bob know how much he was appreciated yesterday. I would use this service again.

Car supposed to be delivered at 1145 and was NOT. Waited until 1230 and nothing then call them to find out what happened told a story(lie) then I set up a tome for 1340 and guess what? NOTHING!!! waited until 1405 then call again this time said in 14 min finally 1419 A 1 wrecker show up so if you dont have lots of time or liked people to lie to you. Call another company thanks.

I had a blowout on my car going to work one morning. In lest than a hour my vehicle was picked up by A-1 wrecker service. My car was way off tbe road not in the way of traffic. I contracted the company and they told me the cost would be $198.00 and some change. I called twice more for the location where I can get my car. Opinion arriving, the man at the office informed me that the charges would be $400.00 according to their computer. They should be a law against a company stealing money from people trying toget to work. I would recommend noone should use this wrecker service.

On top of paying 150 dollar to tow me 1mile i still had to pay for a ride home and pay for that mile. Like gas money r something..never again

I dont know what these people have going on orwho they have dispatching, or answering their phones, but Amanda is rude as hell, and disrespectful. When you working customer service you need to know how to deal with people, not be rude or disrespectful, cause you never know who your dealing with. Some people talk crazy behind those walls because they know they are safe there, I work in customer service and I deal with people everyday.... and you talking to them like they are less than is unacceptable. For starters, im reading all the reviews on here. and i personally dont know the owners or anything, so im not biased.i called, asked a quote and time frame, was given an estimate on time frame and on price. i did call other places and nobody offered a faster service.i believe Tony was my tow truck driver, he was very respectful and nice. and so was the lady who answered the phones, in fact even when i called back her and i visited for a bit. :-) i couldnt remember what my final price was and she said oh no problem let me check again. super nice!Tony actually gave me a ride back home. which wasnt something they have to do.I was very appreciate of their just general politeness in everyone i talked to and met yesterday.you get what you pay for. sure you could spend 60-80 on a tow, but you may end up waiting all day.i was quoted about 3-35 min. Tony arrived way earlier, and was super nice! I was quite impressed with his towing abilities and definitely learned something new about how to unload a car off a trailer.Everyone was super nice and respectful. you couldnt ask for a better tow service. you really couldnt.So I personally want to say thank you A-1 wrecker service for getting my vehicle to the mechanic and myself and back home safely! truly appreciate you!top notch service!thank you so much everyone!!!definitely recommend!

Dont use THIS service!! They towed my dtrs car to their FW location. I called and was told I had to be on site for them to unlock the gate. Not only was the lady i spoke extremely rude but I waited over an hour for them to come unlock the gate. I had to call my own wrecker thru my ins and he had to wait all that time also.

Id post the picture of the hammer and wrench they used to pull out my ignition, but seems theres no attach buttton.Yes, that was done so my car could be placed into neutral gear and therefore the labor of wenching it onto the tow truck was avoided. .also placeing. A repair bill of over 300.00 was incured after my paying their sky high towing fee, hook up fee, and 3.50 per mile chargeI wish people like this could see how it is to be swindled like i have been.On top of all this... i have no idea why they even towed it.I had a blow out, pulled off the road and walked for help. Came back, and GONE!!!No stickers on car at all.

Absolutely terrible. Was told a 45 min wait and ended up waiting 2 and a half hours before I just cancelled it. Dispatchers were friendly to say the most but I was put on hold countless times for 10 minutes at a time. Need to be put out of business.
