I discovered the Monticello Apartments and absolutely fell in love with the property and the amenities. Valiant was amazing and was very knowledgeable about the company and the property. We really appreciated her patience and willingness to help. It is a wonderful community and the staff goes above and beyond to help anyone! Customer service plays a huge role in any decision making and when walking into the office I have never felt so warm and welcome. The location is unbeatable which is very close to all the action in Fort Worth, a well as the Fort Worth Botanical Garden! We will definitely refer others to this property and have them ask for Valiant! If you are looking for a new place to call home, stop by and take a look at this property, you wont be disappointed. Thanks for helping us find our new home!

My husband and I absolutely love these apartments. Its away from the hustle of W 7th while still conveniently close. The pricing is significantly better than the new properties in the area and even most of the older ones. The new management is worlds better than what was here previously and have promised to make some great changes to the property. Jose in the office is very sincere and will make you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

Just wanted to give this property a good review because my tour was very delightful with Ms. Yvonne. She was fun, energetic, and didnt mind that I had my dog with me. (That Im sure she was afraid of it lol) I will be leasing here in April. Also, the location is perfect

I usually do not take time to leave reviews but I have to make an exception. I moved to Texas from Ohio and could not tour the complex. Jose went above and beyond to assist me and ensure I was satisfied. I am extremely grateful for his help. Jose sent pictures and provided information for my movers to access the property. I am happy with the location and management for Monticello Apartments. Thank you Jose for being so kind, professional, and understanding through my transition.Respectfully,Donisha

Yvonne is very responsive, she has never allowed me to go unanswered (email) despite the time of day. Her attitude is consistent. Residents need to start cleaning up behind there dogs more. Other than that its a nice place to live. Been here for 5 years.

I am a new tenant with Monticello Apartments and I can honestly say that I love it here. The complex is tucked away in a beautiful area with lots of trees and is surprisingly quiet for being so close to the hustle of University Dr. All of the other reviews complimenting Jose are spot on, he is extremely nice and helpful and will go out of his way to make sure youre taken care of.

I have been at Monticello for almost 3 years and I love it here. My apartment is very private and I have a large patio that is all mine. The trees are beautiful and the apartments are located in an older established, quiet neighborhood. The new management is great! When something is needed, they are on it!

10/10 would recommend. Jose the property manager was great in accommodating my special needs and did his best to get me moved in. Great price for the location just a few minutes from west 7th. The neighborhood itself is perfect if you are into nature good for running and only a few minutes to trinity trail.

DONT MOVE HERE!! Absolutely HORRIBLE leasing office staff. Theyve never answered the phone the first time I call, they say theyre open at 8:30 but Ive stopped in the last three days to try and talk to someone everytime before 9 and its never been open. And on top of that, they close at 5:30 so I cant even get off work in time to get to the office before they close. They need an entirely new staff who actually knows what theyre doing.

Love living here but just found out from 2 previous tenants that management took 6 months to get their deposit back to them. Ive worked as a leasing agent before and know thats illegal so Ill be making sure I get mine in the correct 30 days. Also, they recently changed management and all of a sudden the washer and dryers went up in price and no one answers the office phone.

Were in the move-in process and due to circumstances out of everyones control, we were not able to move into our specific unit. Fortunately, management has been super accommodating and did everything in their power to make our move as seamless as possible and work with us to find a different unit within the complex at such short notice. The units themselves are very charming and affordable, especially for the monticello/crestwood area and extremely pet friendly, which was great as we have two dogs and a lot of rentals in the area wouldnt allow them. Overall great place!

I went here one afternoon to inquire about leasing and it was a total disaster. The office is completely hidden, I drove around for at least 10 minutes before I found it and once I did, parking only on the street! Immediately lost interest for that. After that I still went about leasing here (to have options,) walking through the complex gave me a weird vibe and I noticed there was a little building for washing and drying, one of tenants actually complained to me saying they never work! Smelled horrible near it too. Needless to say I never even made it to the leasing office, straight up left, this place completely weirded me out and I was already frustrated anyways from trying to find the place.

This complex is a joke in almost every respect. It is not uncommon to lose water for up to 6 hours at a time. Not only do you have to carry your laundry to the washing machine area, the machines often are out of use 3 or 4 days at a time. Maintenance requests may or may not be addressed.Guests have to park on the street and negotiate multiple sets of stairs to reach their destination. I am counting the days until I move.

I am only writing this review to help someone not make the same mistake as I did. Yes, the prices are cheaper than surrounding West 7th places- but there is a reason! This place does not have lighting in any rooms but the but kitchen and bathroom, and the water is never consistently working. There was a period of 4 days where part of the property didn’t have water and their solution was to open up a vacant apartment and advised us to “lock the door behind us.” Usually there was weekly scheduled maintenance and shut water off for 6-8 hours at a time. They were horrible at communicating the progress of any repairs. For my personal repairs I didn’t get any updates and constantly had to call. This is an older property which is the excuse given for all issues. The management and upper management is a complete joke. Upper management is not even based in the metroplex and they are oblivious to what happens at the property on site and have zero management skills. Do. Not. Live. Here. This place receives “0” stars.

Upon review you’ll see this is a 2 Star apartment complex, the 2 stars go to at least replacing the apartment office manager with another professional after leaving it unattended for weeks. Temps can’t give answers ergo the reasons I have none for the water being shut off monthly for days at a time. Terrible washers and dryers (community), and th sheer possibility of inconsiderate neighbors and their CONSTANTLY barking dogs. I’m sure the rest of the complex were decent people, but you never know your luck of the draw. Thank you Monticello apartments for at least finding someone that cares about helping out that place, I.e. the new office manager. P.s. the first one was just as good.

The fact that you raised the rent for everyone by $200 and dont have washer dryer connections or a work out facility is a joke. You have done nothing to update this place. The location is good but you can get better amenities for the price. Look other places.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I moved here in October 2018 and right now it’s May of 2019 and the number of things that have gone wrong is outrageous. The first 2 months I lived here I had no AC. October isn’t the summer but in Texas we do have 80 degree days in October and November. So when you’re moving things in and unpacking things, you’re even hotter. Not to mention it’s a good 10-15 degrees hotter inside with no AC than the temp outside. Since then there have been sooo many issues. Every single month (sometimes more than once in a month) I have no water. One time they gave us a heads up through email (hopefully you’re a person that checks their personal email all day) I’m not and I just happened to be checking it and they warned us about the water shut off and told us to fill up our bath tubs so we can use that water to flush our toilets and water our pets during the time the water was shut off. Twice this month there was no warning. We got an email when it was already off then an email when it was back on. So all day I couldn’t flush my toilet or water my dog. I had to go buy more bottled water so my dog wouldn’t get dehydrated. I got laid off so I’m not even able to shower to go to interviews. It’s a huge inconvenience in SOO many ways. Imagine not being able to wash your hands?? It’s crazy. I’ve had my garbage disposal stop working, the ac problems, the water problems, my front doors door knob falling off, and since these apartments don’t have washer and dryer connections, we are forced to use one of the 3 onsite laundry facilities (2 washers in one, 3 in the other one, and 2 in the 3rd one) so 7 washers total for a whole complex. And 100% of the time some of them aren’t even working. Jose, the ONLY leasing agent (so if he is showing an apartment or had to leave for an emergency, you can’t even go and talk to him or call him because there’s no one there to answer) told me that they were working on replacing all the washers and dryers since half of them don’t work. And I haven’t seen anything happen. They are now getting bought out by the 3rd leasing company in 2 years. I’m hoping this leasing company makes things right and restores Monticello Apartments to what it used to be but before you move here, read the reviews. Read recent reviews because from what I understand, the new leasing company that bought us is buying is this week (5/20/19-5/25/19) so look at reviews after that date and see if they are any better. But as far as my experience here we gone, I can’t wait until my lease is up. I might even pay the fee to break the lease because it’s THAT bad and I’ve never broken a lease.Oh and btw..some amenities you are probably used to with other apartments that you won’t get here...obviously they have a pool but that’s it. There is no microwave (so if you have lived in other apartments or rent houses with microwaves you will need to buy one before you move in—I didn’t realize it until I was already moved in and went to make something and couldn’t believe I didn’t have a microwave. There are no lights in the living room or bedroom. Do you have to use lamps. So basically you never get good light in the living room or bedroom. I have 2 lamps in both and I still don’t get good light. Obviously I’ve mentions no washer and dryer hookups but there’s also NO storage space on the balcony like most apartments. So it’s really hard, especially for me because I moved from a 3 bedroom house after I separated from my husband and I have a lot of stuff and no place to put it. All there is is a closet in the dining room (doesn’t hold much but you can hang clothes in there) and the closet in the bedroom (it’s a walk in closet but so small. Not even enough for one girl much less if a girl and her boyfriend or husband wanted to move here)So yeah the location is awesome because it’s so close to all my favorite spots near W 7th area like Chimys, Reservoir and velvet taco but you will be giving up soooooo much just to live close to W 7th area and you can get a different apartment half a mile further for the same price and way more amenities.
