Was very rude when I picked up items saying I was late.. didn’t get all what I told I would get.. the couch rocking chair that I did get is dirty has some type of white animal along with a bug I killed an probably more in there

So grateful for the assistance. Unfortunately there were several communications breakdowns. We weren’t allowed to just go pick what we needed, so we just had to take whatever they gave. Which would have been fine if the shelter and the furniture bank had perfect communication & all went well. Examples: only need 1 dresser gave, gave us 2. Wanted a small sofa & chair, gave us a recliner sofa too big for our space that took 4 people to lift. The box spring for one twin bed is about 5 inches longer than the mattress and too long for the frame. As I said, I am grateful, just a bit frustrated.

I called yesterday on behalf of a patient to request more information on the process at Mustard Seed, particularly on the steps needed to obtain a referral. I am so glad I did not have the patient call on their own first because the staff here was so rude. It makes me sad that people in need might call this agency and not be treated with dignity and respect.Just a taste of the conversation. They said: even though I could help your patient, I really do not want to and that mustard seed is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I would be better off sending my patient to Habitat or St Vincent de Paul.I understand that mistakes happen and there is also high burnout when helping people, but this is no excuse to make someone feel so small. My only hope is that I was treated this way because I wasnt a direct client and they are much more kind to people calling on their own.

I came through a week or so ago to bring some donations in; it was super easy. Colleen met me out back and she was so nice. She was very appreciative about the different things I brought. I’m so happy to have helped those in need.

I give 4 stars for the cause. Its always great to support and contribute to an organization that helps people who are need. I would have given 5 stars but I cant believe they are not open on Saturday for at least a couple hours. Weekends are the only time for many people to make a drop off for something like this. Sometimes you need to find or orchestrate proper vehicle. I know you have a pick service, but that still requires a person to be available during the week. My only complaint. Other than that keep doing what your doing and thank you to all your volunteers and workers.

It feels like they not in it to help like they say. You get one time to go in your life but if items you need are not there then your out of luck. Why not schedule a person when get things they need in or have come back at another day. Another idea would be to partner with places like the Salvation Army to get items they dont have. Also, you arent made aware of what they have to offer and if caseworker doesnt put it on referral you have missed out again. I would hate for a person to have been in a fire and look to them for help when supplies low.

Unfortunately I found myself in a place of much need following a divorce and other more serious scenarios. I was referred to Mustard Seed and was accepted as a client. To even have a place that can provide this type of service is really a blessing but to have amazing and wonderful people to staff the place like the Mustard Seed does is a blessing on a whole other level.

They are really bad there because how they only want to give you things that you need but not everything and also hold it against you because you husband was there 10 years ago. So telling everyone i know dont go there at all and get there things. I also heard that they also have bed bugs on there befs too

Extremely rude. Told us we arent a thrift store. So unless youre in a catastrophic situation we dont sell and nearly pushed us out the door.

Not happy because I couldnt get in to get my stuff due to car issues and they wouldnt reschedule me

Great place to help the ones in need. I got help 13 years ago from them. Very kind people gave me bed for my son a couch. Towels

Your website needs to be updated in regards to scheduling pick for large items. Website gives the option for the county I live in but when I called Im told they dont do pick up to this county. Too bad.

To bad donations have to be perfect!!! If you want to help someone imperfections do not matter!!! Next time I will donate to someone who cares about people not perfection!!!

Waste of time. They dont help you. Theyll gladly take your stuff though. Typical of a fake organization that is supposed to help those in need of assistance.

These people help those in need thats great but as a shop owner people try to sell those items to us so do they really need this. They try sale new mattress sets used items often i hope someone is screening these people better i hate to keep seeing this happen this has been a long thing i see on a monthly bases.

The front office staff can be really rude, but the guys in back were awesome. We didnt get all that was requested for us even though there was an abudence of those items. Im not being ungreatful at all but what is the point to have someone do a walk through and tell them what we really need if they are going to give us what they want to anyway. I do appreciate what we got, so thank you for helping us out.

Great organization...especially the Beds for Kids program that focuses on making sure every child in the area has their very own bed/pillow/linens.

I found the manager of the mustard seed to be verbally combative and rude. I have been through enough and dont need to be treated as such, even if what Im receding is free. Her excuse was that We do things a certain way. Only she and her staff gave me a different story each time. They purposefully set me up for failure. Get it together ladies!

Great place for gently used items

It was a great experience the people where helpful friendly and they made me laugh how ever the bed frame for my sons bed broke because the wood underneath was so thin and he is not a small boy
