We rented a griddle for the Johnny Appleseed festival and the teflon coating was coming off on the food. It was so disgusting, we could not use it. I contacted them about a refund and they have not had time to look at it for two weeks now. These people will rent you junk. Spend your money at Bob Mutton instead!

I’m giving this place a one star I’d give it a zero if that was possible. Their customer service at first was great until I received the equipment. We ordered a dunk tank a helium tank and along with the dunk tank came six balls. When we got the dunk tank for the first 45 minutes it it did not work properly. We called someone to come out and fix it for us. I asked if there was possibly a chance of getting a refund for that hour they said I’d have to check with management. Then on the day of pic up they were supposed to come get it on a Friday, which after two phone calls on eta time the finally came and got the dunk tank. They came when I was not up front and left without taking the other equipment. So I called them back, however they didn’t have time to come back that day so I tried to arrange for them to come get it on a Saturday which is not normal business hours for our Community and some miscommunication on our end the door where the equipment was stored ended up being locked and no one had anyway to get into it. The dunk tank was picked up on Friday because it was outside however it was pouring down rain and so I did not leave the helium tank and the balls outside with the dunk tank, which According to them I should have done anyway Because they expect all the equipment to be together when they come to get it. All the pick up person would have had to do is come to the front door and he would have seen that the helium tank and the box of balls was there waiting for him. he would’ve had to walk 3 yards to do that. because when they came to get the dunk tank on Friday and the other equipment was not there we got charged another pick up fee to pick up the rest of the equipment. But because the rest of the equipment was not available for them on Saturday we did not get the refund for the use of the malfunctioning dunk tank. And I have to take back the helium tank and the balls or get charged another pick up Fee. So I got punished because it was raining and I did not have all the equipment together. So if you rent equipment from this company even if there’s a tornado outside please make sure you have all the equipment together. Or you will get charged a pick up fee because I guess no extra effort can be put into making sure all the equipment is there.

I reached out to A Party Apart 4 months in advance of my event regarding hiring them to create a balloon garland for my event. Initially, in the discovery phase the owner appeared to be responsive; however, when the time came to solidify the details of the transaction the owner’s customer service and organization skills were really bad (not responding to e-mails and/or phone calls). Their communication was so bad that I mentioned it to the venue where I was hosting my event and they offered to reach out to A Party Apart on my behalf. I know you’re thinking why did I go through with dealing with A Party A Apart. My daughter really wanted the balloon garland and we were at a point where I couldn’t find another company to do it. A Party Apart didn’t take the time to discuss the design, pattern, and or the balloon size and options. The owner informed me that their website was obsolete which is unprofessional and it shouldn’t be used as an opportunity for A Party A Party to come up with high cost that they don’t offer a point of reference.to verify. The owner charged me nearly $1,000 to create, deliver, set up and pick up a balloon garland that lacked luster and didn’t have the color pattern and balloon size that I paid for two times over. This company is a prime example of unorganized chaos. I would never and I do mean never recommend or hire A Party Apart for anything.

Not sure if the pandemic has brought out the rudeness in companies, but as a consumer spending my hard earned money, it is unacceptable! I called on 6/ 12/21, to get a quote on a helium tank, the lady answered the phone was very rude! Asked me to hold on and then hung up! When i called back, she didn’t apologize for hanging up, just very rudely gave me quote. I then had other questions about rental supplies and delivery, and she just cut me off and quickly answered what she thought was the question. Due to this lady’s attitude, I will not be ever renting from there, will go somewhere else where The company has good customer service!

So our organization has used this Co. for many events and have had ok service each time. This last time we used them was a nightmare and we had an event we had over $10k invested in it and we almost lost our event on the day before due to a party apart not doing their job. This was so stressful and I understand that mistakes are made, but they still say we owe them money even though we paid for everything that was on the contract before the event. No formal apology was made to us for their mistake and negligence and this is what is so upsetting. I really dont see us using them again. We have spent so much money with this Co and its sad to see us having to move to someone else after all these years. Giving then 2 stars because of past work with them. But with this last show i would say 0 stars are on order.

A Party Apart makes event planning simple! Great help, friendly staff. Couldnt have ask for a better experience! We here at Sugar Mamas Bakery in Huntington will continue to use A Party Apart! Tables, Chairs and Linens were perfect. Thank you!

I just rented some wine glassware from A party Apart for an event I hosted and I was so disappointed with the quality of the wine glasses sent to me. Me and some colleagues spent 1 1/2 trying to polish and clean the glasses to look halfway decent we no luck. Due to a time restraint we had to just use the glasses as they were. I was so embarrassed when my customers started to arrive. I will never order from A Part Apart again. The 2 stars are for the service provided prior to the quality issue.

I probably wont ever rent from A Party Apart again. I used them for ceiling draping and a GOBO light for my wedding. The prices were very high and when we got to the venue the light was not in the correct spot. When I tried calling, I was sent to a voicemail box that was full. I was very frustrated with the lack of communication and professionalism. We were also told we would be able to keep our GOBO light following the reception and that was not the case.

I rented chairs and a PA system for a wedding. Unfortunately the day was extremely rainy and cold. This did not stop A Party Apart from delivering my chairs on time and getting me a new PA system when the one they brought wasnt working perfectly. They set everything up and cleaned up the chairs afterwards which i am sure was an ordeal with the rain. It was a wonderful day despite this and they did an amazing job!

Our family has used A Party Apart for a variety of functions over the past few years. The standout event was the recent wedding of our daughter, Sarah, in our backyard last summer. From the beginning Cheryl made our planning easy and fun. The variety of items to choose from seemed endless and the ideas that she gave us just made the wedding and reception even more special. But their professionalism doesnt stop there in the showroom. From the tent set up crew to the designers setting up the table linens, the reception tent was beautiful and memorable. Cheryl coordinated with our caterer on what was required for the dinner which was such a time saver for us. I highly recommend A Party Apart and wouldnt use anyone else.

Rented Table and Chairs for my wedding. Reserving was easy I submitted a request online and someone got in touch with me to finalize everything. They were very easy to work with and my associate was very patient with me as I had lots of questions and made several changes to my reservation. We picked up and dropped off our own reservation and that was a breeze the dock workers were extremely helpful and friendly.

We shopped around different rental places in the area when planning our wedding, and they had the best options and prices available. We rented table cloths and several decor pieces. They made everything simple, and everyone we encountered was very helpful.

As a few have commented, I should have read reviews before booking. We had a great first meeting and they happily agreed to host our wedding reception. Not something they normally do which should have been the first red flag. They were responsive to planning for the first month or so. After that any call/email was ignored until about a month til the date of the reception. While the decorations ended up being OK, it was not worth what was paid and definitely not worth the stress.

In a word: disappointing. I may be very difficult to work with, but if you know that, then you should call me and ask before you do or dont do something. We ordered a sub-floor for the isle at our outdoor wedding, and it seemed to us that they ran out of time to install a sub floor so they just did not, and we have a slippery, uneven walk way and we were afraid people were going to topple off. In our wedding pictures, you see the floor coming up as the wedding party is walking out. When i arrived to my venue that afternoon, i IMMEDIATELY noticed there was no sub floor and stated my disapproval and they didnt even try to fix it (and there was still 2-3 hours before guests arrived).Major upset number two- our buffet table was a round disaster with no clear entrance or exit so people just stood around and looked at each other in a standstill. there needed to be a rope or SOMETHING to cue people. Also, there was no decor at all behind the cake cutting table, which they set up and all my pictures have a stark white wall as the back drop instead of the curvy willow branches.Things we liked: the chairs at the ceremony and the linens. Large vases were also forgotten and they never went back to get them. I feel bad writing this review since we have known and worked with Cheryl for years, but i have to tell others about it. The floor was dangerous and looks atrocious in pictures, and my cake cutting pictures look disgusting as well, and i wanted to cry when the food line was a disaster. Without a rope, it was a free-for-all and by the time we got out of the receiving line most of the food was already eaten.

I love this place! The owner is always so friendly and easy to deal with. They do a great job on lighting and I have never been disappointed with service or quality.

I just spoke to Katie on the phone to discuss options for graduation. She was condescending and made me feel like a 2 year old for asking questions. I have no idea what the rentals are like, but I would rather rent from ANYBODY else.

This place is amazing. I called them last minute for a balloon delivery for my friends birthday and they went above and beyond. Id recommend them for any party or event!

I rented stemware, tables, chairs and a coat rack for a house party. Staff were good to work with from the management (Sonja), booking agent (Katie) and Spencer on the loading dock. Thanks for a positive experience.

A Party Apart installed the fabric draping in the ceiling of our reception venue, as well as the backdrop to our head table at our reception. They did a lovely job, and we received several compliments on the overall look the fabric added to the reception space. I would definitely work with them again given the opportunity.

I booked A Party Apart for my outside wedding this September. I went into the showroom about a year and a half ago to get everything booked, and everything on display is beautiful. However, several things that were discussed in the show room with my coordinator and over the phone never got added to my order, so I kept having to email and call to get things added back on, and when they arrived it didnt seem quite right. They paint a picture like they will set everything up for you but then when it comes down to it the cost is way too much to justify it. The total cost for tent, sidewalls, tables, chairs, a restroom trailer, and table cloths was about $3100. The only thing I was happy with was the restroom trailer which was booked with a 3rd party. Delivery was supposed to happen between 8-10 am, at 950 I called and the gal said the drivers were on their way. At 1020 I got a call from,the driver that he was just now leaving and they didnt arrive til right about 11. In addition to being late, 2 tables arrived broken, several chairs were filthy AND broken, and when I reached out to the company they wanted pictures of all damaged materials. I get it. But for the price the rental property should have been up to expectations before it was delivered. Not the other way around. The linens for my arch were 2 different colors which was also annoying. They were supposed to pick up materials on Monday and never showed. Over all, very disappointed. Spend your money somewhere else!

Slushy machine was not put together properly and $60.00 worth of liquid poured all over my floor. Was not able to use, nothing but a waste of money! I talked to several different people about the problem, and was told pretty much too bad! I will never rent anything from this company and will tell all my friends to never to business with them either!

As described by others, this place is just overall shady. The office staff was rude and the manager was sending me a bunch of red flags. Did not want to give them my business

Great customer service and I I always been very satisfied with everything I have ever rented!

Ice cream machine didn’t work & was dirty!! But this company couldn’t understand why we didn’t want them trouble shooting this pos during a grad party. We called to receive no apologies but only what we weren’t doing right. Then after my husband cleaned the machine to take back it magically worked. No refund No compromise No apology just crappy customer service!!!!

The most rude and inappropriate office staff, was told that bc of the neighborhood we lived in that we shouldnt leave a inflatable outside, yet the neighborhood this blonde office staff lived at was nice enough to leave one out... So quick to jump to conclusions about people she judged us at first sight. She had no idea who we are, where we live or what we do. Simply due to the fact we walked in wearing shorts and sluming it on a early Friday morning. I AM Not sorry we didnt have time to dress like she would have liked. Needless to say Ill NEVER RETURN to this place bc of this blonde middle aged office staff her attitude and the way she looked down on us, BLAH! We GOT up and left didnt say a word. Never will I refer anyone else to this place or go there myself.

Office staff incredibly rude. Parked in parking lot NOT marked customer only parking. Staff saw fit to park illegally, box me in, and lecture me on the use of paid parking in the city of Fort Wayne. If this is how they treat an person for something as trivial as parking in an unmarked lot, I would hate to see how they treat customers. Will not be referring any of my friends or family there.
