I always have a great experience, I like the fact Im never on hold very long and the front desk people are always nice.

Referred as a virtual patient. Told my first appointment they would be unable to see me due to going back in person. After speaking with my provider the story completely changed. Diagnosed with needed a mood stabilizer wouldn’t prescribe because I hadn’t gone into a depressive mood.Very unprofessional in terms of what is and isn’t accurate information. Was unable to receive any type of med management.

I’m so happy with my experience at the Bowen center. My appointment was over the phone but the staff was still personal and I felt comfortable. The nurse was so kind and easy to talk to. I felt heard and seen by Dr Ahmad, he listened to what I had to say. He was the first psychiatrist to not prescribe me an SSRI due to my bad reactions with them in the past. He made me feel confident that seeking help was the right thing to do!

$350 for a telephone appointment with a nurse practitioner (NOT a doctor). Refused to prescribe the med I have been taking for 15 yrs (my Dr retired @ a different facility). After 45 min. she practically refused service to me, yet still billed my insurance. She became defensive and insinuating toward the end. They even faked a fire drill to get rid of me in the end ( this truly occurred). [Physician, cure yourself!]

I have been going to the Bowen center for 5 years. In the beginning they were great. They cared about patients and the staff was friendly and knew you by name. About 2.5/ 3 years ago, al the staff kept dropping off and now who’s there are literally no good, inconsiderate and rude staff. It’s sad to see how bad they got and I can’t stand going here. I don’t have to I chose to continue service and now I’m fed up with them. Never going to go back!

I was charged outrageous fees for spending most of my time answering the same covid questions and same depression questions. Only to be prescribed meds that almost killed me. My primary physician was very specific in her referral that she wanted me to TALK to someone about traumas in my past- not just medicate but they never once honored her request. I am in so far over my head with their ridiculous fees that they only made problems worse. Dont expect help unless youre just looking to experiment with drugs.

My son has been going here for a couple years now for depression and anxiety. He has always gotten wonderful care and everyone has always been so helpful and nice. We’ve never been treated rude or unfriendly by anyone.

Don’t go here!! They don’t care about your health or wellbeing, like to play games & waste your time…

NIGHTMARE. I told my doctor that I had serious side effect on SSRI but the doctor didnt listen me. I ended up hospitalized in other place because of the side effect.

This place is the Biggest joke around. I have worked in the medical field for several years and even worked in mental health. But because I actually know things I was made out to feel like a low life loser. And was told by their joke of a doctor I dont know what else to do for you Are you kidding me? The Doctor Never listen to me ever cause I always had to repeat things. Feel sorry for people who dont know and reach out for help to get treated like that. WILL NOT EVER GO BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

They keep playing games. They had me fill out paper work for my daughter and her school fill out paper work and have it turned in. Well I did that. I had an appointment last Monday and they said they didnt get the paper work and they they was going to call back and they never did. When I call them Im playing phone tag and then they hang up or I get the busy single. There has to be a place that takes medicaid and tests kids for adhd.

This place is seriously the worst they give you the run around. For as much as I have been calling different places or people to see if they have gotten my diagnoses an lab results I feel like I should be getting paid to do their job. Iv been dealing with them sense late March an still waiting to finally get medication. Place is a joke I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!!!

ZERO STARS... Prepare for my rant.... The Bowen Center of Fort Wayne is NOT and I repeat NOT the place to take yourself or a loved one to for Mental health healing. Today was the last time they let me slip through the cracks. I have been in contact with nursing staff there for almost 2 weeks now (several times) regarding getting my anxiety medication dosage increased. Each time I have spoken with nurse she tells me that she will call me back as soon as she is able to speak with doc. Well, it has been excuse after excuse after stinking excuse as to why I am not getting a call back. They new I was about to run out of one med that I took my last one of today. This is for anxiety. the main pill that has been prescribed for keeping me at a tolerable level of anxiety. Well, low and behold no call back again today and no prescription refilled either. I am scheduled to see this doc on Thursday. I will be out of my mind by then. There is no way I can go until Thursday without an anxiety med. So, I guess tomorrow I have to take a prescription that I had been on previously that I have some left over from to get by. The point is, if she doesnt get me a script filled tomorrow, I think I will be making a personal appearance and raising the roof there to show the other patience what they get to look forward too. Mental illness drugs are nothing to play with. you ween yourself up to doses and off them too. you just can stop taking these types of meds and expect there to be no effects from doing so. This medical center doesnt care for their patience, we are just a number and a paycheck! It seriously is like an assembly line of patience when you go there. Get as many in and out at the fastest rate possible, Ive never felt heard there. Im over it! Back to Dr. Fawver for me.

Fell on hard times, talked to everybody at Bowen center trying to get help to get meds....after a week long journey of talking to them daily. Heres there answer....aspen insurance.....3 week wait if I get approved for health insurance....sry its the best we can do at this time! Last two visit I had to wait around 2 months each to get. Doctor made me wait in an empty office for nearly an hour each time only to come in and spend 5-10 minutes making major medicine changes and asking me to come back in a few months again. This place has always been trash and it still is.

This place is not a facility for children anymore. They are over flowing with alcoholics and drug addicts who get sent their through the courts. I do not feel they have the ability to properly care for childrens disabilities. They should get rid of their children services on just focus on the addicts coming in. They have destroyed 3 years of hard work with their bad decisions in medication. Im seeking else where. 3 years is enough. Ill get better help else where for my child. Today will be the last appointment I ever take my daughter to there

I’ve never been to a doctors office where they get you in and out so fast. I never have to wait and my appointment usually takes 5-10 mins.

The front desk people are beyond rude, not understanding and, dare I say, plain trashy. You need to work on who you have handling people with delicate mental illnesses. I asked today how my husband, who has delibating anxiety, was supposed to call in and make his own appointment since our HIPPA forms just expired and I was told oh, I guess hell have to pick up the phone and call in just like you did. It was the rudest most condescending tone Ive ever heard and people like this have no right to be involved in the lives of individuals who are so fragile. I think Bowen needs a complete staff rehaul. I will be looking for a new facility for my family.

If I could give zero stars I would this place is a joke! My son had two appointment for this month at 4pm and received a call for both to be canceled. The last lady that called was rude. I told them before I couldn’t do anything before 4pm now I have to wait all the way until March to get a appointment but for it to only be at 9am. I’m not able to come that early and she said that’s all they had. Remember I didn’t CANCEL the appointment Bowen Center did. Not to mention the front desk people are very rude! I’ll never recommend this place to anyone!!

One of the most unprofessional place I have ever experienced. The front desk people are completely insentive and rude. I had an appointment set up at 10 am, the morning of the of the appointment, they called me at 8:50 telling me that it was cancelled because the therapist called in sick. Class starts at 9:05 am and I had already called the school telling them that I had an appointment. Also the fact that I live 20 minutes away from school. I asked the lady if I can have a note saying that I was excused and she said, I cant do that, that is falsified information, you did not go to the appointment. which is understandable. I just couldnt understand why she couldnt have just written me a note saying that my appointment was at 10 and it was cancelled which is why I will be late. Me being late results in a truancy which can affect my scholarships (which I worked very hard to get). During that phone call I can hear in the background them talking about us. I immediately cancelled the rest of my appointments and will never show up at this place again. If I could give a 0 I would.

Most of the staff members I have interacted with over the years have been kind and caring but I had one experience with a staff member who rude and very insinuating towards me....instead of trying to be helpful in the needs of my child. Shouldnt their patients be their number one priority? Especially children? This was not the case in my experience today. I am always kind and respectful towards staff and I feel I should be treated with the same manners.Im highly disappointed with the way in which was treated and will be looking elsewhere for the care of my daughter.

Bowen Recovery Center is Amazing! If you need MAT with Methadone, their clinic is professional, private, and their counselors are top notch.

Charges insurance 300% more than paying in cash!

The counseling was amazing but trying to get any help with meds is a pain in the ass. The first thing I said was please dont change my medication, first thing they did was try to change my medications. It was hell trying to get some understanding n help in that department. Good luck to anyone who is med sensitive the PAs dont care they just do as the see fit n dont listen

This place is a joke! Their policies are not in the best interest of their clients - they lie in the beginning and tell you one thing but then do not keep their word! The counselor we saw barely remembered who we were - what was said at our 4 former visits and it felt like we continually had to repeat answers to questions asked at prior visits! You are told you have the option to switch therapists but when you attempt doing that they make it extremely difficult and uncomfortable! DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Employees can be rude, and the idiotic management has been known to steal from the front desk, and then blame those desk employees. THEN they when theyre called out, no apologies, and the still have their job. Its really sad that much more qualified people have worked under this management, but they have made no effort to evolve or repair. This place is a cancer.

Every time I come here I write a new review. This time I am very disappointed. There are seven desks and only one of them was actually working. The second one seemed like he was only there half the time and the third one disappeared once the line went down a little. I always get here 30 minutes early and I had to wait in line for 27 minutes before I got checked in. Then, my appointment was at 1:30 and I had to sit in another waiting room for 17 minutes until my psychiatrist finally saw me. I ran out of meds and my psychiatry appointments kept getting canceled. I have to have my meds otherwise I get extremely suicidal and uncontrollable. I went four days without them and it took them two days to finally fill my prescription even though I called in twice every day. They need to do better.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This facility is a joke for those with mental health issues. My step son has been prescribed a medicine that is not even approved to treat ADHD, we have expressed our thoughts, tried and tried to get him switched, we now have custody of him and are leaving this place and never looking back! Terrible people, terrible staff, if you value your loved ones health and state of mind do not take them to Bowen. We are taking our son to a new doctor specifically skilled in his affliction and hoping for actual results. Lemkpe has done nothing to help him, nothing at all.

The registration staff have been wonderful, both over the phone and in person. My experience with the Bowen Center, so far has been a big comfort during a difficult time.

If I could give 0 I would. Been dealing with them for almost a year. The therapists made my son, daughter and I uncomfortable. The Serakanti doctor is a quack. My son became suicidal after he put him on some drugs I later found out make people suicidal. I almost lost my son because of him. Please look at other places besides Bowen for mental health treatments.

This place is a joke as for booking.I had missed an assessment appt and my mental health meds were running out.Im a recovering addict and busparand lyrica help miracles.i begged and pleaded to please let me come in.this was early August and they would not get me in till Oct 6th.I ask the receptionist if I had an opiat problem and needed to get methadone or subaxane if i could come in that day.she replied yes I just needed to come in before 4 I believe and they could access me abd provide methadone I was in shock.i ask why the couldnt do the same for people who suffer from mental illness?she simply said good luck sir and hung up.thank God for pbh.Please if your referred to this so called mental health provider try any other option first.THIS PLACE CARES NOTHING FOR MENTAL HEALTH BUTGLADLY PROVIDE TO CONTINUE provide dangerous meds to people who already suffer from addiction.they receive large grants and funds to provide these drugs but dont for mental HEALTH.

The program and staff have made a very positive difference in my loved ones life.

Went to the Fort wayne Bowen Center for a psych evaluation. I saw doctor serecoti. I was told 2 weeks for results then 30 days. Then i was told 6 weeks. I been calling and i get no information. I even left a message for the supervisor and i never received a phone call back. A few of the staff that answered the phone were rude and had no concern of my frustration and showed no remorse for my feelings.

Had to give it at least a 1 so I could say that those people at the front desk are rude! I had to take my grandson there for an appointment I had never been there and didnt know the procedure on the whole wait in line ... They were not helpful and she was very rude. Wouldnt recommend this place to help my dog!! Daughter will be finding somewhere else. Because I feel that people all ready have problems and they make it worse by being rude!!

They had to reschedule me more than actual appointments, i also ran out of meds before i could see the psychiatrist and had to go to seperate doctor multiple times to get them refilled, its a sad excuse for a facility

Unreliable.

Trust is a huge issue for those with mental and/or addiction problems. The Bowen Che. cannot be trusted. I asked my care provider for a letter of support by phone. Rather than taking a moment to speak to me, her office told me its company policy not to write such letters. Did my provider lie or does this mean that Bowen has NO CONFIDENCE in clientele recovery? Should this be extended to the treatment offered? After all, most clients must not be getting effective care if this is a blanket policy. Which is it; providers that lie or ineffective treatment that shows no recovery?

Very hard working people that are willing to help others

IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS I WOULD. THEY ARE INSENSITIVE, RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. I WOULDNT RECOMMED THIS FACILITY, WARSAW OR COLUMBIA CITYS OFFICES TO MY ENEMY. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE AND SEE DR. FAWVER.

The amount of negative reviews, especially V. Olson, have me running away from Bowen. These reviews show uncaring staff and no support for patients. Again, thanks for the reviews as I look elsewhere.
