How odd that I had to attempt to submit my review again before my review showed up. So much for the claims she’s honest and ethical. I have my reviews sorted by most recent. Not impressed with indifference and what appears to be more of the Fort Wayne exploitation of the vulnerable. As a disabled person who walked into financial trouble thanks to the move to Fort Wayne to take a job with an employer who spends more on marketing that they do the right thing than doing right thing, I attempted to hire Ms. Ripke. She informed me her fees were around a grand and did not inform me that as a disabled person I am protected up to a specific value relative to judgements. She also failed to inform me that the account my disability benefits is connected to is the only account protected.I only know these things after losing most of what I was going to use to pay her fees (other services offer bankruptcy filing for disabled from 0 to 350 dollars), and learning from a creditor that her office was telling them she wasn’t representing me. So she literally had to do nothing for 100 dollars while American Express took the rest of what I would have paid her, but that would have required more work.I just got off the phone with Christine(?) who told me that the 100 is a retainer and not refundable. Okay, but then why didn’t I get any help or communication relative to the situation I’m in? Why were my creditors told I didn’t have a lawyer? Why was it nearly impossible to communicate with the office?I get the message loud and clear that disabled folks in Fort Wayne are consistently taken advantage of and bullied. I didn’t expect any of that to happen to me because I was working! I have to say that this experience and so many others, including the mayor ignoring my requests for help, have all contributed to this conclusion. My advice with this office is that if you’re REALLY hurting financially, avoid it like the plague. If on the other hand, you’re just trying to wiggle out of paying your bills and have the money to wiggle with, I’m certain you’d have a delightful experience. I warn ALL disabled folks away from this office no matter their situation. Whether malice or ignorance, this is not our bankruptcy attorney. In retrospect, Holly Ripke was the first of several people lining up to plant a solid kick in my face (figuratively speaking) and now despite a pandemic, despite current rent, despite actually being a working disabled person, I am now homeless. You read that right, current rent. Neither tenants nor employees have rights in Fort Wayne so seriously consider your situation before getting stuck here. Anyone with money gets a free pass on nearly everything, including bullying and exploitation.
Professional. Willing to work with my unique situation. Would recommend to anyone.
Shes awesome
