Scott Robinsons office is organized, engaging, and personable. I recently moved to a new house, but waiting to list the old house until our transition was complete. In so doing, I also couldnt lapse the homeowners policy on the old residence. Well I forgot to let State Farm know that I no longer owned the house, and his office called me of their own accord to ask if I still needed the policy.

**Edit**Scott Robinsons office isnt my huge issue. Thats why 3 Stars. My much bigger complaint is with StateFarm themselves and their underwriters and am dealing with that.My problem with Scotts office -I requested a copy of my homeowners policy after I had a small claim in March. It 2 months and multiple requests to get it.I requested my 5 year loss runs and it also took multiple requests for this and once I received something it was just a letter stating Ive had a claim. Im an underwriter myself and knew what I wanted and what is normally supplied by insurance agencies.I should have received a report that showed what Ive paid each year for my policy and the claim from March. I wanted to calculate my loss ratio so I had an idea of what I might be looking at for a premium increase because this will affect my escrow. Apparently ot was too hard to get wanted I needed from thia office. Still never received it.I ended up on the phone with my bank going back 8 years getting the information I needed.Yesterday I received a POST CARD, not a call, not an email, that simply stated I needed to call their agency ASAP.I called this morning to be told my homeowners insurance had not been paid. Thats a HUGE deal. A phone call, not a post card, was in order. Especially since the payment was 15 days late.I called my bank and was advised my insurance had been paid in November. I was told that Statefarm is notorious for taking a very long time cashing and applying insurance payments. My bank is currently dealing with Statefarm to find my payment and get it taken care of ASAP.This year has been hard on everyone. Personally I am going through a divorce among otherwise various things and the last thing I needed was to be panicked over my homeowners insurance not being paid.Apparently Im a better underwriter. I do research before I worry an insured.And while this isnt directly Scotts offices fault- my insurance premium increased 66% due to the $5,000 claim in March. After 8 years, 1 claim and I PAID HALF OF THE DAMAGE MYSELF SO IT DIDNT HAVE TO BE CLAIMED, Im rewarded with a 66% increase. I did the figures myself and my loss ratio is only 33%. I would not have applied a rate increase to my insureds policies for that low of a loss ratio. Especially if that insured had been with me for as long as I have been with Statefarm.I recently moved my car insurance to another company after being with Statefarm since I was 16 (Im 43 now) with never having a claim. My premium is now $200 dollars lower than Statefarm. Sadly right after I got the new insurance my oldest son hit my ex husbands car resulting in a claim. The new company was understanding and when I spoke to the underwriter I was assured my rate would increase unless I had another claim. 1 claim, no increase. Guarentee that would not have happened with Statefarm.Guess what Ill be doing with my Homeowners insurance next year...

Received a quote for car insurance for over 100$/ a month! For someone who has never had a ticket, who has never been in an accident, has been a previous customer, who owns their car (2004) and only needed LIABILITY. Apparently its a CRIME to not have car insurance when you dont have a car? My previous rates with this agency were LESS THAN 50$/month. Thats a 100% increase in car insurance.This insurance agency is JOKE.
