My husband (then fiancé) and I spent months and months looking for the perfect place to say i-do. We were coming from California and planning mid-pandemic, we knew we wanted a way to have all of our family and friends together in one place for multiple days and Grace River Island surpassed my expectations tremendously. We had only seen their online presence but Mike and Karen were extremely communicative and made the entire process stress free and enjoyable. The day we got to the island I was shocked, it was even better in person. Mike and Karen helped out with our rehearsal dinner the night before as well as the wedding day which was a dream come true, as we did not have a wedding planner. I could not be happier with how everything turned out and will forever be grateful that Mike and Karen allowed us the opportunity to get married on their property.

Our first two venues fell through within a month of our wedding because of Covid BUT Mike and Karen were so welcoming and understanding. And in the end, we had the perfect weekend because of it. To have our own island for the weekend with beautiful scenery for view and pictures as well as a place for the bridal party to stay, they provided more than we could’ve dreamed of. After a year, we still receive compliments on how beautiful our wedding was. The owners and Grace River Island Resort are incredible and anyone would be blessed to have a wedding here!

I love this place! We cater a lot of weddings here and its a perfect location for it. The house is spacious and clean. The yard is well kept. Theres a nice pool and sun deck. There are swing chairs by the river and a mini bamboo forest with a park bench right on the water! The best part.....the house is on its own island in the middle of the Caloosahatchee River!

Grace River Resort is a gorgeous venue for events of all types. It comfortably sleeps 20 people, and the grounds are stunning. There are so many spots for guests to gather indoors and out. The owners are very accommodating and worked hard to make sure our event was executed perfectly for our needs. I would definitely recommend this place—it’s a hidden gem for events in Fort Myers.

My family of 20 spent a an enjoyable five days at Grace River Island Resort celebrating a milestone birthday. Mike and Karen we very helpful, courteous and well prepared for our visit. Everything we could possibly want or need during our stay was provided. It is a beautiful venue with plenty of accommodations for everyone and activities for all ages. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I am the manager of a travel baseball organization. Grace River Resort was the perfect setup for our team bond and stay entertained on sit through COVID. We are already trying to find a way to come! Mike and Karen were the best host! Alway sports team that I looking to stay at this property has my vote of confidence that you will have an unforgettable experience!

Our son and his bride got married at Grace Island Resort. The setting for the ceremony was SO picturesque. We were on the tip of the peninsula and surrounded by water and beautiful trees. The deck is the perfect setting for a dinner reception with dancing. Mike and Karen were helpful and accommodating when it rained. This didn’t put a damper on the event.They would do it all again! 5 stars!!!

We enjoyed 4 days in this absolutely breath taking venue for our wedding. They exceeded our expectations and luckily the weather was perfect. We planned our wedding through Jeremy Zielinski and the process, and production was flawless. Mike and Karen’s the owners were also on site for support. I highly recommend this venue and I will be back for sure.

We had a lovely experience here. We rented this small private island resort for a destination wedding. The owners were so helpful, providing us with recommendations for local services and actually helping us set up for the wedding. The facility is exactly as advertised and more beautiful than I had hoped. I recommend it highly.

Mike and Karen are amazing hosts! We had a small wedding ceremony and reception (35 people) and they were extremely helpful with setting up and making sure our wedding was perfect from start to finish! We book the house for an extended weekend and had our wedding party stay with us on site and had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner there the night before. Spending the weekend there was one of the best ideas we had, since we had time to get stuff ready and were able to spend extra time together with our friends and family.Mike and Karen also had everything we needed for our stay and for the wedding. The house was stocked with all of the essentials and they provided chairs and a wedding arch for the ceremony and chairs, tables, and linens for the reception. If we had any questions or needed help before and during our stay, Mike and Karen were very quick to reply and assist as quickly as possible!We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding location and we are extremely happy with choosing Grace River Island Resort!

Grace River Island Resort may just be the best wedding venue I have had the opportunity to marry a couple at. It is a perfect setting for an intimate wedding. The location, the grounds, the decor, the owners all make this a very magical place. If you are considering a beautiful family getaway and or intimate wedding, this is the place you want to be in SWFL.

As a Pastor in Fort Myers, I officiate my fair share of weddings, and Ive seen many (most?) of the venues our area has to offer. Recently, I conducted a service at what was, for me, a new venue, and WOW! Its an incredible venue, surrounded by the river, with terrific guest-house amenities, a Caribbean Island vibe, and, in the owners (Mike and Karen Peterson), a terrific combination of high skill and true servants attitude. Again, Ive seen the venues this area has to offer, and this one is incomparable!

Mike and his wife personally welcomed us to this beautiful property and were available by cell phone should we need anything....we didnt! This was the most beautiful oasis I have ever experienced. The home is beautiful and has room for an army, though many quiet serene places for reflection and rest. There are activities for all ages, form ping pong to kayaks, a hot tub, a pool....as well as a large dock. The views of the river, with the occasional steamboat, as well as the sunsets were continually amazing. You wont be disappointed with this gem!

My family and stayed at Grace River Island Resort over Memorial Day Weekend this year. We traveled with our boat through the channel from West Palm Beach to Grace River, a very fun experience! The home was VERY well kept, plenty of towels, kitchen supplies and coffee for our group of 8. Karen and Mike were very kind as they helped us dock out boat upon arrival, gave us a detailed tour of the property and explained how everything worked on the island. We surprised our parents with a Vow Renewal on the front lawn (beautiful), so Mike and Karen assisted with the planning and set out items for use during the ceremony. Our boat (41) fit perfectly on their dock, and was protected from waves and wind since its located on the back side of the island. During the weekend, we took the boat to Cabbage Key, Captiva Island and Fort Myers. It was about an hour trip to those locations, which was very quick! Overall, we had an amazing time, the hosts were wonderful, the property was immaculate, and the memories we made as a family are unforgettable! WOW!!! Mike and Karens place is absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for our daughters wedding. We were able to set up the reception room and outside ceremony space just as we wanted. The space is great and the views are terrific. Loved it. The house also made it much easier to host the immediate family with plenty of space and very very comfortable. Mike and Karen were always available and were a tremendous help before, during, and after the wedding. Five star venue. Would recommend to anyone seeking a private location for a wedding. It is beautiful.

This was one of the most amazing places we have stayed. Perfect setup and excellent value for family reunions, conferences, or retreats. Being able to come and go in our boat from the private dock was so convenient as well. Everything associated with the house and property was neat, clean, and organized. Cant wait for our next stay!

Lovely space and great location

Wow! We just spend 3 days at this amazing resort. What a fun, beautiful and relaxing time we had as we boated from the private dock, soaked in the hot tub while enjoying spectacular sunsets, and warmed by the pool side fire pit.We had the pleasure to meet the property owners and they couldn’t be nicer, they really do care about making sure your experience at this little piece of paradise is over the top. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Clean and house was very well equipped. Owners are responsive. Big drawback however the neighbors complain about noise even if its low level conversations. 10pm curfew is really unacceptable. The place is pretty perfect otherwise.

Beautiful place. We rented it out for our family coming to town for a funeral. It was the perfect place to have everyone under one roof. Very peaceful place. Would recommend it to anyone anyone looking for a place to accommodate a lot of people.

We didnt know what to expect when we got to the resort.Spacious living areas, big bedrooms, a great pool area and patio, and amazing sunsets.The place was clean, well stocked and the owners were very accommodating.We cant wait to get back - thanks Mike and Karen.

We stayed here for a group retreat and loved it! We had a boat there, soo much room and beautifully renovated. The sunset from the pool and hotub is incredible. It’s a perfect place to have a conference, retreat or family reunion. Even more so it would be an awesome place to have a wedding. We will definitely be returning for business and personal vacations! The owners are also extremely personal, honest friendly and genuinely want guests to have a great time. What more can we say?!
