Warning to everyone…get your own attorney! Question the process... Obtain another opinion! They are unprofessional and will ‘not’ have your best interests in mind. Joe Marks is unscrupulous and Wicker is not to be trusted! They will say anything to make a sale, use dishonest, and ‘questionable’ tactics. Save yourself the grief and get another broker...you wont regret it! I am only one of many to speak up....

I just bought a business using Joe Marks with CIBB and my experience was great. Joe was professional, knowledgeable, patient and got everything done on time. I would highly recommend if you want results and professionalism from your broker.

I was interested in a business this company had listed, as well as some others with different agencies. I sent in a request to gather some additional information before I wasted any ones time. I requested the information on Friday, May 10th and got an email Monday morning. I thought this was fairly prompt. I provided a signed confidentiality disclosure agreement, that was requested of me, on Monday before noon. After not receiving a response, I sent an email requesting the package Monday evening and again on Tuesday. I still didnt get a response. On Wednesday I called and spoke to Ms. Owen, the admin assistant. She informed me that she did get the emails and left them for the broker. At that point, he was out to lunch and wouldnt let her give me any of the information saying that he wanted to be the one. I explained my time crunch as Im only in the area for a few days and wanted to look at a few different opportunities. She apologized and explained she had the information, but again, the agent handling it didnt want her sending it over to me. She said she would give him a message to call me. It is now after 9AM on Thursday and I still have not received any response. If youre looking to sell any type of business, Id think twice about using this company. Clearly, its brokers dont have any drive. Every other company I have requested information from has provided it to me the same day, if not the next. Im the buyer they lost for your business because they couldnt take the time to follow up. If youre serious about selling your business, I hope you think twice about using this company.
