Lori worked a miracle for us. Came home after being away for 2 months and our spool was solid green. We thought we would be out hundreds of dollars to restore it back to being usable. She knew exactly what to do, was very patient in explaining it to us and only sold us what we needed. $40 and 24 hours later it is perfect with beautiful water again. Highly recommend this store.

Pinch a penny might be the first result in your search because of the franchise but I DO NOT recommend the pool service. Employees are paid about 50% less than the next pool place and the quality of work and attitude of the team reflects that. Lots of turn over because the owners would rather get upset and hold grudges (talking bad about techs to store employees was how they handled route issues) than directly address issues with employees. Might be a good store front but the pool service is NOT recommended based on my experience working with other companies in the area that provided better pay and working conditions to employees while the price of the service was the same. Too bad because this store is in an amazing location but will never thrive if they can’t hold onto employees if the moral is bad because they’re too afraid to talk to them and are happy collecting the money a well placed franchise will automatically earn. Try a smaller company for the actual service, pinch a penny is the McDonald’s of the pool world and this location is specifically bad.Store is well stocked at least so if that’s what you need then it’s perfect.

The service and professionalism shown by Harley (store manager) and Scott (Service Tech.) was second to none. Other companies told me I had to replace my heat pump for 4K. Harley and Scott reviewed my repair situation and identified I only needed to replace my temperature sensor. Very honest, knowledgeable and reliable organization. Started strong with good pricing, good service, and a reliable schedule. Unfortunately, this did not last. Apparently we started with the A-team, and the longer we stayed with the company, the worse the service deteriorated. They went from accomplishing all agreed upon items to some, to a few, to just not showing up. Just two weeks ago, I called them as my pool was acting up, after yet another new guy had attempted to service it. They came out, cleaned the filter, and said nothing was wrong. Now the pool has the same issue, and, no one has been out to service the pool in two weeks. I once again was forced to contact them to be told that they are no longer servicing my area and that our service has been discontinued- with no notice. Now we have a broken pool and have to start looking for someone reliable again. Thank you Pinch a Penny store 223

I went to my local Pinch A Penny just a mile or so down the road and had an AWFUL experience! Not just once either, Ive given them multiple opportunities and its always been disappointing. Well I decided to drive farther like 10 times farther to this store and boy what a difference. EVERYONE has been super nice, very helpful and really shows a desire to make my experience there a good one everytime. If you have a choice go to this store, youll be happy you did!!

Cause of covid, i had to wait at the door on the inside, but overall it was a great experience. The staff is great very knowledgeable and helped me with my needs and i was in and out within 15min

I cannot say enough good things about Scott Hodson at Pinch A Penny. I have never had better customer service in my life. Those that know me know that I would not embellish one bit on customer service. He went way above and beyond helping to get my pool back in order. My pump was leaking, had serious corrosion, and was out of warranty. He had me bring it in to save me the $99 service fee and explained how to disconnect it properly over the phone. He worked hard and avoided me having to buy a new pump for $1500. When I had trouble getting the pump setup back at home, he came out the next day and fixed it up. He then proactively diagnosed and fixed up a problem with my chlorinator (for free). Throughout everything, he took time to listen, explain details, give tips, and was just an overall pleasure to work with. Scott Hodson saved me over $1500 . It is profoundly evident he prioritizes gaining loyal customers over making the quick dollar.

Just want to say that Scott, the owner, and James, our technician, went far and beyond the usual pool care when we had a major problem with our pool water, due to being chemically polluted, after having our lanai pavers cleaned and sealed. The pool was a complete green swamp. With their help our pool is now a beautiful crystal blue. Thank you again Penny Pincher

I know nothing about pool maintenance. The young lady that I spoke to on the phone was very patient and very friendly as I was looking for a pressure release valve. I gave her very little information and she figured out exactly what part I needed. She even put it aside for me, knowing that I was 10 miles away. I had to go to this Pinch A Penny because the one down the street from me did not have the part that I needed. The worker inside the one close to my home, gave me free Teflon tape to put on my used pressure release valve since they did not have the part I needed. Even though they are a little pricey then some of the smaller places in my neighborhood I will continue to go back to Pinch A Penny because both of these stores, because both staff in both stores, were courteous friendly professional. It was an absolute Joy to shop in both of those stores and I will continue to do so keep up the good work Pinch Penny

I recently purchased a home in Buckingham and I needed some help with my pool. They are very knowledgeable with everything from chemicals two installing pumps and getting your Navigator or any type of pool cleaner working. They also offer full service pool cleaning or will instruct you on how to do it yourself great bunch of people and was real happy to contact them my pool looks crystal clear.

Who ever orders supplies needs to be retrained! 4 times for 1 item never gave correct delivery date. Beyond annoying, so Rec Warehouse from now on. You have a 5 star rating, Your as bad as your other store ratings.

We called to have our pool heater turned on prior to us arriving.We got here 11 days after the requesting this only to find our pool dirty, no heater turned on, and the water level very low.We were told they only come weekly and can only add water during that time. That being said after the fact of us hiring them last year, I would have expected a call or email stating they had to shut down the skimmer due to the water level.We have requested a call from one of the owners for 3 days now and we have yet to receive a call back. Today I went to the business and asked for one of their cell phone numbers and was told they aren’t allowed to give them out.Kathy Brillant
