Had another great fishing trip. Even though the fish were not in agreement Captain Josh did all he could to get the fish to bite. My grandson and his friend had fun. We definitely will be booking again soon

Josh was a great find. husband, son, grandson and I; he took us right to a spot, caught multiple fish; was so good with our 8 yo grandson who caught more fish than any of us; brought home 18; lots of fish dinners in our future; most amazing was his ability to see triple tail on crab pots; son and grandson caught one each; sons was nearly 20 lb and so fun to catch. Hope to take another trip with Josh; will definitely only book with him.

We had a great day with Captain Josh! Hauled in ~35 Snook and Redfish. I went with my two teenage sons and teenage nephew. He was very patient teaching us the tools of the trade. We caught some fish and had some great laughs! We went to several locations around Captiva and North Captiva.

Captain Josh is a super nice guy and very helpful. Knows the area like the back of his hand. He can put you on tarpon, snook, redfish, trout, king mackerel and pretty much anything else you could hope to catch depending on conditions and time of year. We had a great day and caught several snook including one huge one over 35 inches! That would’ve been plenty to make for a great trip but then we hit another spot and got on an unbelievable redfish bite. Probably caught close to 20 redfish in just over an hour and they were all slots or bigger! Couldn’t have asked for a better day fishing and highly recommend Josh and Caloosahatchie Charters!

The Cowboy !! Josh is a great guide and best of all a great guy! I did two trips with Josh on May 15th and May 16th. Had my wife and daughter on the first - Had a couple Tarpon hook ups, and caught several Snook, and Snapper. Josh gave me some great tips on cooking the Snapper. The girls had a blast and loved the experience. On day two, I had my son and his buddy out - another great day! The boys caught Sharks, Goliath Grouper and one heck of a King Fish! We are all Northerners so his advice and knowledge was much needed. Josh is well prepared for anything. Equipment and boat are great, all kinds of bait as well. If I knew how to post pictures - I sure would the King was something. We saw Dolphins, Turtles, and huge rising Tarpon right by the boat! If you dont have a connection or any one in mind when your down in Sanibel, Ft Meyers - I can tell you - Call the Cowboy Thanks Josh for a great two days and a lot of great memories !! Amazing day fishing for tarpon! Captain Josh worked hard to make sure we found the fish. Not only did we find them. We brought a huge one to the boat. Hooked others and caught a black top shark. He probably wasnt sure what he was getting into take two girls out to get these monsters. We sure didnt know! Lol. He made it happen and because of that we have another life long memory to add to our friendship. Highly recommend Captain Josh. These waters are his home and he knows them! Hes easy to follow and fun to spend the day with.

We had Josh for 2 days on the water. Day 1 the tarpon were everywhere. Most didnt want to bite, but the ones that did made the wait worth it. It was an incredible day on the water. Day 2 brought out the its fishing . Josh decided to take us to a different location, we hooked on to a tarpon with-in minutes that morning, after that the fishing turned south in a hurry. Josh stated numerous times that things will change and get better when the tide changes (like the day before) but unfortunately that was scheduled to happen after we were off the water. In hind site, if I knew what I know now, I would have scheduled the trips later in the day as that seemed to be the time the fish became more active and the chances of catching one greatly improved.Josh knows Tarpon, and his passion for tarpon shines. I really believe there is not another guide on the water that knows this fish as well as him. We will be back next year and it will be with Josh.

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had on the water! I told Captain Josh that I was going to catch a shark and he made sure that happened! I had the pleasure of fishing with Capt. Josh Constantine on June 16,2014. My wife and I met Josh at the launch ramp in the morning and off we went to an area he knew would be a good spot to find some Tarpon, and he was right. About 10 minutes after cutting the motor, we seen our first Tarpon, things were looking good.Throughout the day, Josh explained everything about the Tarpons habits & behaviors, as well as different tactics and strategies and tackle he uses to catch these mighty fish.Our first hook up ended with a chafed line, but it was great to feel the power and see the amazing leaps before the fish won the battle. Next, a Tarpon just sucked the crab right off my hook in the blink of an eye before I could react, wow, just like Josh said they could. The final hook up I got him this time, after a brief fight and a few jumps and line dragged off the reel, the Tarpon showed its strength by straightening out the hook and continuing on its way. My adrenaline was pumping. After casting crabs to more fish with no takers, it was time to head back to the ramp.I had a great time out with Josh. Yes, of course I would have loved to put a Tarpon boat side, but as is fishing, it does not always happen that way, but we sure were close, twice. It was a lot of fun, and I learned so much about Tarpon and Tarpon Fishing during my trip with Josh, I look forward to fishing with him again. I now have a greater respect for The Silver King and its only going to make it a greater accomplishment when I finally win the battle. Thanks Josh for everything.

Had to wade out in the water waste deep to get in the boat at 6 am, Did not get to touch the pole while Tarpoon fishing... and did not catch ANY FISH at all.. The guide became frustrated when his pole was hung on something and while trying to jerk the pole.. hit me in the head.

I contacted Captain Josh late on a Sunday evening asking if he had any openings the following day for a tarpon trip. Much to my surprise he had a half day in the morning. After a short explanation of what I was going to be faced and what to do once I hook one, we started fishing. Within the first 30 minutes I had hooked and boated a 80# tarpon. Anyone who spends any amount of time fishing knows when its going to be a good day on the water and this was one of them. Not only was Josh able to get me on fish but he was an excellent teacher explaining to someone from the midwest what we were using and why. Other boats around us did not appear to be getting hooked up while we were. All said and done I boated three tarpon with the biggest being a 130#, a 3 black tip shark, a blue fish and a catfish. All on a 4 hour trip! All of this would not be possible without Joshs know how and familiarity with the area we were fishing.Highly recommend taking a trip with him!I would highly recommend Caloosahatchee Cowboy Charters to anyone looking to fish southwest Florida!

Josh and my son, daughter and myself met together on Sunday am Mar 1st. Josh took us to the passageJ between Sanibel and Captiva islands, just in time for incoming tide. With shiner baits we quickly caught two large redfish. As soon as the porpoises arrived, we placed the reds into the live-well and we made our way out into the Gulf looking for rock piles and sheepfish. We caught a few keepers, having a great time poking each other over the immediate wins or failures of each bite. The reds were returned to the sea to preserve the “greeness “of the repopulation program! Josh is a true professional and great fun. Would repeat anytime! #1 in my book!! Thanks,Josh

Josh Constantine took us on a day excursion that i will never forget and knows exactly what to do and where to go when someone is looking for a deep sea experience. In short we went out roughly 30 miles off Sanibel Island right to an old Shrimp Boat Wreck. With no coastline in sight, Josh provided a Fishing experience that was an experience of a lifetime. we caught massive jacks and barracuda all day. Josh is a top notch experienced fisher that knows what he is doing and where to go. Highly recommended!

Hands down awesome guide. We went in late January, caught lots of sheepshead and one big Cobia. Josh always made sure we were baited up with a line in the water and moved if we werent catching fish, would reccomond and will come back.

Fished with Capt. Josh yesterday with my 10-yr old son. Caught 8-10 kings in the morning, all 15-30lbs and steady action. Once we had enough of that we shot out for some new action and pulled in some fat bonita while looking for tripletail. Capped the day with a very nice Tarpon on our way in. Capt Josh knows his stuff and put us on the fish, lots of fun!!!

Had an awesome time fishing with this guy he was always busy helping us rebait our hooks and he had plenty of bait which made it an awesome fishing experience for my first time fishing down here!! He is an excellent guide and does an awesome job!! We caught lady fish, snook, and red fish!! Had a blast would go again!!

My brother and my dad went fish with Josh during March for two days. Snook bite wasn’t quite good yet, so we went fishing into deeper water (20-25ft). Josh was always excited when we hooked up and heard the line scream. We had a blast with his easy going but professional personality! Always was helping us to make sure we were on the fish. We had a blast catching King Mackeral and even caught a 7ft Black Tip Reef Shark! Definitely will go with Josh next time we visit Fort Myers!

Horrible. I would NOT recommend this fishing charter. It was the worst part of our vacation. Captain Josh was very rude and condescending. He was unfriendly. We had our 8 year old with us and when we lost a fish he yelled the F word. When I reminded him of little ears he said a different profane word. We felt like we went on his boat to watch him fish. We were not allowed to bait or cast. All we could do is hold the pole and wait. Josh got frustrated if we didnt keep our lines tight because the bobber got twisted, but offered no instruction as to how to do it correctly. I am angry that I wasted so much money of such a terrible charter and rude, immature person.

I just got back from fishing the whole day with Captain Josh. We were catching Reds just about all day. We were even able to hook some Triple Tail but they were to small. Josh knows his stuff. Even after three days of horrible weather and seas he found the fish as soon as we started. If you want a good day of fishing, talk, and a little more fishing Caloosahatchee Cowboy Charters is the place to go.

Josh was a very friendly person as well as a great guide. He knows what hes doing. If you want to catch large tarpon and snook, Josh is the guide that your going to want to go out with. My father and I caught a lot of fish and had an awesome time fishing with him. Hell be the first guide that we are going to contact when we schedule our next tarpon trip.

Fishing with Josh was by far the best highlight of our trip. He was on time to pick us up, had already scouted and caught tons of bait earlier that morning. We are not huge fishermen, but Josh had us dialed in catching snook in under 5 minutes. We had a blast fighting snook and catching lady fish all morning.My girlfriend was obsessed with catching a shark so we spent the last hour dialed up to catch a shark. We didn’t catch one and packed up as our time with Josh was over. On the way back in, Josh spotted some L-dogs and set her back up to troll for sharks for an extra hour. Sure enough she hooked a shark and fought it all the way in on light tackle. Thank you so much Josh for taking the extra time to help her catch a shark, it made her entire trip!!

Well this is one more experience that I can cross off my bucket list. Ever since I was a young boy I always wanted to Tarpon fishing. We tried to do it last year but Josh with his experience and knowledge suggested that we not attempt tarpon so he came up with an alternative and we caught some of the largest snook Ive ever seen. He even jump in the water to help land the largest snook. What a great day. So this year we set our sights on tarpon and had just a beautiful Florida day. The day started a little slow but Josh found the fish. I got a couple of hits but no fish then suddenly my wife got a hit and fish on. She handed off the rod to me and Ive never felt such a powerful fish. We fought for about a half hour and finally landed the fish which was in the 50 lb. range. When we were done I was just shaking and out of breathe. What an amazing day!!!! Thanks Josh for all your hard work and knowledge. Ill be back in August and well do it again. I would highly recommend Capt.Josh hell make sure you have a memorable experience. I have one Ill never forget!!!!!

Had a great experience with Josh. Caught lots of Kingfish and Bonita. As soon as our bait hit the water we reeled in our first Kingfish and consistently caught fish throughout the trip!

Fantastic experience!I was planning on fishing Tarpoon and Snook but with the bite being tough he suggested offshore and boy was I glad. We caught a variety of fish from Shark to a nearly 400b Goliath Grouper! He wants you to be successful and it shows!Josh is on top of the fish and works hard to put you on them! Ive been meaning to get on here and write a view on the cowboy for almost a year now. I took my father out for tarpon last April, it was his 3rd trip out with no previous luck. Captain put us in the right places and obviously knew the territory well. Needless to say, we had a hell of a day and my dad caught his first tarpon. We even had time to do some inland fishing, which was just as enjoyable. Thanks Josh for the lifetime memories

Good for beginners. Sad for seasoned fishermen. Captain Josh said he was too busy to clean our fish, trying to get us to catch and release. Good thing we knew how to clean fish. Captain said he didnt have a snook stamp so my son couldnt keep his big snook. Never will we recommend this charter.

Called up Captain Josh on Saturday 8/16 around noon to see if he had any availability that day, in the middle of a bite he answered his phone and asked if he could call me back. He called back as he said (we called many guides that day, none called us back), and booked a trip for the same day. He made some room in his schedule to accommodate us. 45 minutes after picking us up we landed two monster redfish!! After the bite slowed, we picked up and moved to another location, where we hooked and landed two more beautiful redfish. He saw a storm moving up the sound and recommended we head in if we didnt want to get wet. We beat the storm back in, and filleted the fish right before the rain came. We had a great trip to say the least. Josh was super knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and had a great rig!

My son and I met Captain Josh at the dock right on time we set and we headed out for an awesome day of huge redfish and snook fishing. When we got to our first spot I was very happy to see Josh was well prepared with lots of fresh bait, not something you always see. We caught some snook right away then moved to the sandbars and almost immediately started catching 30+ inch redfish, often two at a time for several hours. I hate to admit it, but this was much better action and size redfish than we ever see in Texas. We were laughing because we were kicking off fish we considered good in our previous trips.Josh was extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot, was a great person and liked to laugh and joke, which made for a great outing. We caught about 20+ large redfish and many smaller ones and several nice snook. Was really great watching the schools of redfish chase bait down the sandbars then circle out and nail our baits.Awesome experience, Josh is a great guide and I would highly recommend his services. He took several great photos and sent to me even while we fished, which was great. We are already planning our next trip with him! Thanks again for a great time!

Ft Myers and Sanibel fishing charters...Capt Josh is a very knowlegeabe of this area and how to fish the everywhere around Ft Myers and Sanibel. He is also very patience and personable.We fished for tarpon just recently. We had four hook-ups and landed one tarpon. Capt Josh was exellent on what to do and how to fight the tarpon. He was at our side helping and instructions on each hook up.He could tell if it was a tarpon or a shark by watching the hook-up, Amazing, that comes from experience.While the fighting the tarpon we caught, another fishing boat not watching what they were doing came within five feet of our boat and our tarpon was jumping on the other side of that boat. Capt Josh lifted the lines over the other entire boat while it pass by us..We still caught that tarpon. He was great. He was super.During the trip we saw hook-ups but ours was the only catch.Capt Josh has to be the best guide around that area..A very memorable trip. We will be back..ben carroll
