Beautiful views, the staff is very friendly and helpful with anything you might need. The rental boats were very nice and we had a great time on the water. I would definitely recommend cabbage key for lunch, the cheeseburger is great as well as the smoked mahi fish dip. Definitely one of my favorite experiences in Florida and I will definitely be coming back to do it again. Thank you again for a wonderful day on the water.
Had an excellent experience and a great day out on the water. Process to rent our boat was super simple and quick, the staff was very friendly and helpful, they went through the whole boat showed us where everything was and were very clear that we could call them with any questions, any concerns, if we got lost Etc. Pricing was reasonable, customer service was top-notch, will definitely be booking again
The boat was not as advertised. The pictures on the site showed cushioned seats, a sink, cooler, clean windshields... ...a well maintained boat. The boat we got was missing an anchor, a ladder, the sink and cooler. And the glass needed replaced on the windshield. And worst of all was having to stand all the way to cabbage key since the seats were hard plastic short seats from a Jon boat. The seats were not adjustable and having to stand and drive was horrible. Ultimately we made it for a cheeseburger in paradise but will not rent there again
Some fun every activities to be experienced. Went on a boat excursion to an island looking for puffer fish and sea horses, along with a variety of other critters. Given the time of year, we found some real cool crustaceans with the marine biologist that came along. When we didnt find the expected critters, the tour took us to a rookery island on the fly. They tried to salvage an out if season disappointment into a cool family adventure anyways. Very family friendly activites.
Rented a kayak to paddle the waterways around the area surrounding the marina. Lots of beautiful homes but not much else to look at. Friendly staff.
We booked a boat months in advance for 2 different days. They misrepresented themselves with their nice pictures on their website. The boats are old, with broken parts. However, the staff is very friendly. They tell me that they rent boats every day and nobody complains, hence the problem with people today. They blame Covid and are complacent. I am not. I called the manager and she basically told me that is what it is and couldnt care less. Never again. Please stand up for yourselves.
PERFECT SPOT FOR GORGEOUS SUNSETS AND TAKE OFF CRUISING!!! We came in to this beautiful Florida marina to catch the evening wildlife and dolphin sighting cruise with Adventures in Paradise cruises. The marina is home to numerous gorgeous boats and is wonderfully landscaped, clean, well maintained, and there is plenty of convenient parking. We just happened to catch the new moon first sliver as we arrived back at the dock. Spectacular!!!! The scenery and location are breathtaking. Ahhhhhhh...... :)
We caught quite a few fish on the charter boat had a good time with friends but there were a few things that could of been better for the price
Easy to get around and great parking. Easy access to your boat and launch
The food and drinks at Port Sanibel Marina were absolutely delicious. The blackened burger with crumbled Gorgonzola blue cheese was a great special and we enjoyed each bite. We had a great time while there for the afternoon.
The folks here are helpful and friendly (the key is to not be a transient) so say Hello and get to know them.
Great staff great location everything about it was a pleasure
Beautiful landscape, a historic ship-store, and a tasteful restaurant.
Very disappointing our boat that we rented broke down and we were stranded for over 1 1/2 until we got towed back. We were told that we would get a call from the manager to get our money back but no one called us. We were charged 364 for what was suppose to be a fun trip for the wife and kids but turned into a living hell. If thats the case why was the anchor so far from the boat when they came to get us also the hull wasnt touching the ground and we floated so far. Please respond with a email address to give a telephone number even though we just called yesterday and left a message with a telephone number
A month ago my girlfriend and I rented a 20’ center console. Great and easy check out. Staff was very friendly and quick. After our amazing time on the water with no issues we simply dropped the boat off at the gas pumps and checked out and easily at we checked in. Today we are renting a second time. I will leave a review later.
We went on excursion tour, had a great time
Called on March 23rd to reserve a boat for March 30th. They had availability unlike most places on short notice, so I reserved the 23 foot scout center console. I asked if there was a deposit. The said the deposit is $50, payable now. I said wow, thats it??, to which they said yes, its a refundable reservation deposit. Well, I still havent beem refunded the $50. Maybe I still will be as I am writing this the day after the rental.Got there and found out they place a $500 hold on your bank card until charges are settled. Still no big deal. Not what I was told over the phone, but whatever, Im taking my family out for the day on the water.Got on the boat. While going through the boarding checklist, it was discovered that the trim buttons on the throttle didnt work. The engine control trim buttons worked, but if you have ever been on a boat with an outboard, you know how much of a pain that is.Is what it is, right? Im a fairly experienced boater and know the waters fairly well, know how to navigate the markers. Ok, well go anyways. I can handle it.Get out on the water, turn on NAV. Guess what? Depth finder isnt working. So now I have no trim at the helm AND no depth finder. Better stick to what I do know in these waters then.Got to normal safe operating waters and decided to get some tunes going. Guess what? Radio didnt work. Wouldnt turn on. Whelp. No trim, no depth finder, no radio. Eh, we will still make it work.Get out to open water and crank up the throttle to please the kids (oh, by this point the trim had miraculously started working, although sporadic). As soon as I push the throttle forward i know something is wrong. The bow immediately comes up and the boat will not plane out whatsoever...no matter what I do with the trim, the boat will not level out. So now I am stuck at full throttle on the caloosahatchie, going 10 mph, and having to stand to the left side of the center console to see where i was going because the bow was in my line of sight.Through some tricky trim and throttle work, I was finally able to get the boat to trim and level out correctly. But not after I was pulled over by Lee County Sheriff because the bow of my boat was raised in a manatee zone...even though I was going 5 mph. Deputy was cool...i explained the boat was a rental and i was having a lot of problems with it. Didnt write me a ticket. Hats off to LCSO for that.Pulled up to a beach and raised the outboard for an inspection. The prop was in OK condition, but the planes were chewed up badly. I honestly cant believe they would rent a boat in this condition.Look, I know this was a rental and probably gets abused, but this boat shouldnnt have been rented to anyone with: 1. Non working controls. 2. Non working Radio. 3. Non working depth finder. 4. Chewed up outboard that didnt function properly.Needless to say, I wont be renting from them again. Only thing good about the whole experience was a decent price and a pleasant staff.I note that the owner has replied to this review, however has not reached out to me personally even though the review is in the same name as the reservation, meaning they have my contact info but are too lazy to look it up and reach out like a company focused on customer service would do.As far as what was said in the owners response:I was told on the phone the $50 reservation deposit was refundable. Its what I was told. I dont really care about the $50 deposit, but if what you said is true, then yall charged me $134 for about 25 gallons of gas. 🙄And how are you gonna argue about the contract i signed, where it states specifically that a $500 damage deposit hold is placed on the card charged? I initialed next to it. Of course, a copy of the contract wasnt provided to me 🙄Notice you didnt dispute the condition of the boat. Because you already knew you were renting a sub standard boat to what you thought was an unsuspecting tourist. Well, unfortunantly I I am a local.
Great people that work there
Nice area to kayak. It costs $5 per kayak to put in at the marina.
Great great grandkids this is my second time renting a boat from this establishment. The first time was an OK experience so we decided to give them a second try and I have to admit this time was a horrible experience. The staff is in personable. The boat that we rented was dirty and lots of broken compartments. I literally had to sit in the passenger seat with my legs holding the dry compartment door closed Which by the way used to be used as a bathroom and it still smelled! The staff offered no help whatsoever!I will never rent a boat from this place ever again! Very disappointing !
Nice but no room for us
Love seeing the dolphins.
Decent and up-to-date boat rentals with stereos that actually work.
Saw many dolphins 🐬 😳
Love it, except for the storm.
Great marina, staff is excellent. Rental boats are great!
Great place to store your boat or start a fishing trip with one of the Captains, very friendly and quick access to the fishing grounds...
Could not have lunch there because not enough boat docking
Had a blast the boat rental was clean and ready to go.
Organized with nice boats to rent.
Went here for adventures in paradise boat trip easy access and to get around
Choose this Marina with care. We recieved some conflicting information about depths. At high tide there is maybe 5 feet coming in at spots. Requiring close to 5 on our trawler, we found ourselves with small windows to come and go. At the docks we sometimes were sitting on the bottom at low tide. Not ideal for running gear. Dock hands were not always helpful. But the docks are solid and there is a nice restaurant on site. There are clean showers as advertised but there is no where in the shower to put clothing, no stools, etc. I think its a great place for a smaller boat. But for larger boats and live aboards you might do better elsewhere.
Beautiful spot. Took a dolphin tour from that location. It was awesome!
Boat was great! Staff was great! Had a blast!
Very nice established marina with dry dock accommodations up to 12,000 pounds. Very well maintained docks, a very nice restaurant and nice store. Free parking and great location just across the causeway from Sanibel.
We went on a beautiful little kayaking trip here and I cant wait to do it again. We love this place!
Family tradition to rent a boat for a day in Sanibel. We found Port Sanibel Marina because they have a coupon in the Sunny Days Guide. Boat was fine, service was fine, everything was fine. But they had a couple issues. They dont include ice in the cooler so bring your own or be prepared to pay. They didnt have any live bait and the only frozen they had was squid. And they didnt honor the coupon on the deposit, so we missed out on $5 of the discount. Not a huge deal but if its 10% off the rental, it should be off the full rental, not just the after-depoait balance.
The boat ramp here is a well kept secret. Most folks use Punta Rassa one mile away. It has a free ramp but parking is $10 for the day. Port Sanibel ramp costs $10, but there is free parking and normally there is enough. Unlike at Punta Rassa, you launch into very protected, quiet water. Sometimes you have to wait but more often than not I have the ramp to myself. For launching my sailboat it is a much calmer process and a more pleasant experience. The but for this one is that there are some very shallow areas on the way out to the river. (My sailboat draws only 15 with the keel retracted.) However the channel is well marked and if you stay in it you will be fine.
Best place to go for a cruise!!!
Very nice marina
Boat was in horrible shape. GPS was busted. Controller for outboard motor was very defective to the point of causing potential safety issues. Was told I could not take the boat into the gulf after we had gotten on the boat and had checked out.
My grandfather has had his boat here for years and he us very happy with it for storage. Its very clean and aleays seems busy. Has good employees and always a pleasant experience.
Tried to rent one of their boats using the online tool on its website and received a email stating that I would receive a call within 24 hours to confirm the rental. That call didnt come so I called twice and got the companys voicemail. I left messages but never received a call back. I dont know what the issue was but I have never heard back and that is very poor customer service.
A beautiful place if you want to charter off shore fishing Port Sanibel Marina is the best.Captain Matt Johnson can put you on the right spot for a fishing experience of a life time.
Just signed a year lease. Great price for all the amenities and restaraunt. Beautiful old Florida style architecture. Donna was really nice and attentive. Love this place
The Marina docks are old and wood planked. The Marina Office staff is very helpful with booking or making suggestions on the local scene (sight seeing, cruises, local guides). The Marina restrooms are the cleanest, for this area!
Love the Lighthouse Restaurant. I am there weekly and sometimes more. They have great food and excellent staff. My fav dinner is the ahi tuna. The spicy kimchi salad is so yummy i wish could just buy a pint to take home. Ive lived here 5 yrs and this is my favorite place.
Nice place. Love the store. Nice staff.
Every time I go and rent kayaks, it is an excellent experience with the nicest people. Friends rent boats and they are excellent every time. Anything you would need is accommodated. The best of the best!
Had a distressed vessel last weekend. Shonda and Paul were very accommodating when towed into port. Many thanks! Highly recommend this marina at any time! Doc Morris
Got on a boat there to North Captiva. Absolutely loved it!
Excellent quiet marina. Very well kept
Awesome fun sunset Cruise saw lots of dolphins awesome friendly guieds
Had a great time fishing with my family and Captain Noah
Amazing wildlife sights eagle, white pelicans, brown pelicans and dolphins jumping out of water, great experience
Rental boats, paddle boards and kayaks (also for rent). Well run, good launch facility and adjacent to a good restaurant. Many fishing guides charter out of here. Lots of parking.
We had a great time with new friends, a beautiful sunset. Loved the ride!!
Great environment. We rented a southwind for the day. good boat
If you are looking to go flats fishing this is the best place to charter. Ask for Captain Matt, youll have a great time!
Very nice staff and great prices.
Great marina. Canal is a bit shallow but great service.
Super easy ramp to launch your boat. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Rented a boat here for a full day. Everything went well. Will likely be back to rent again. Gas prices were a little high compared to the other marinas, otherwise recommended
Its no different than any other dock. The restaurant was closed for renovations. Parking seems limited. However, I was there during evening hours and was not able to see very well. It is not very well lit.
Professional, thorough and friendly staff. Exceptionally clean marina facilities and the rental boat was good for what our needs were for the day.
We had a TERRIBLE experience here last Friday. We called on Sunday to reserve a fishing expedition. They called us back and told us they had a captain for the expedition on Friday at 12pm. We showed up and waited until 12:40 and NOBODY ever came to pick us up. When we asked the Port what happened, they had no idea and told us our captain had already picked up his crew for the afternoon. Now, they charged our credit card for the fee!!! Really? WOW, what a screwed up and unorganized place.
I would dock here if I lived in the area.
Great place - great people
Unfortunately, this was not the best boat rental experience... My family have been Sanibel vacationers for decades and we have always renting boats. We were a party of 9 (2 of them were kids) and we rented the 200 HP Southwind for the day (good for 12 ppl.) The engine was obviously defective and would not go over 12 MPH... It took the whole day to get to cabage key and back... we didn’t get the chance to do anything because the boat wouldn’t go faster then 12 .... When we stopped at south seas to gas (because we were running out due to the engine), the dock master said there was a problem with our engine and we should get our money back for that. The dock master at Cabbage Key said the same. When we finally got back to the marina, they wouldn’t even acknowledge that their was a problem and did nothing about it. No compensation or even apologies.Disappointed.....
Beautiful and very good food. helpful syaff
Rented a boat from Port Sanibel Marina two years in a row (same boat). The boat did not have a working stereo either time, and the second time the depth gauge was broken which is a serious issue with the shallow waters of Sanibel. Would not rent a boat from this marina again.
I dont know why I can review this but it docked the boat well I guess lol
Beautiful, friendly staff, great charter experience with captain Mike!
Beautiful!!
Best sunset Cruise on the island
Kayaking this mirning, great time.
These guys are awesome! For only 5 dollars they let you put your Kayak in the water for free!
Deep in the mangroves so a bit of a venture to get it and out but great service and good prices.
Paid top price to rent a piece of garbage boat. Seat broke, steering is ridiculously loose, as we went down the channel, a steel rod poked out from under the seat and scraped my wife. They do not take care of their boats at all. They charge top dollar and give you junk! Go somewhere else, just cause its port sanibel doesnt get you quality. RIPP OFF!
One of my favorite places on the Island.
Amazing experience, easy access
Cute little marina
Clean, well run operation with a friendly staff.
Awesome full service marina including private charters, tours, restaurant, boat dockage and storage, fuel, kayak trail, etc.
Great time best fishing trip ever
Awesome amazing professional agents
Book vaca with Royal Shell get discount on boat rental. For a fee / ride they will deliver and pickup boat to/from south seas resort (catch a ride with them :) ) .
Boat tour was best event of trip

Went on boat ride to picnic island and searched for marine life.
