I absolutely love this company. The staff are great. Friendly and attentive. The gear is in great condition and they ensure you feel safe and comfortable before going out on the water. You cant beat their location, and I also love supporting a female owned businesses that cares about its community.I was able to go out in one afternoon and feel confident. I loved it so much, I came back two days later with guests from out of town and they loved it!The Carter lake Location was great and had way less traffic, so I really enjoyed the change of pace and the positive and relaxed energy.Ill be back many times over. Thanks for the fabulous time!

I went on a road trip to Colorado and was really excited to do SUP with the beautiful mountains in the background!...this quickly faded when we tried to rent paddle boards and were met with Spencer. He was super rude on our very 1st encounter asking to rent 3 boards for 3 people. This shouldnt have been a difficult task as my friend said we had 3 ppl who wanted to go out and we needed 3 boards. He proceeded to get aggressive in tone and very rude asking if we were going to have 2 ppl on 1 board when we kept repeating that we only needed 3 boards for 3 ppl. This argument continued for a few unnecessary minutes. I really didnt even want to spend my money here anymore, so we only opted to go out for only an hour as opposed to the 2 hours we were planning on doing.We finally got our boards and he asked if we had paddled before and 2 out of the 3 ppl had not. Spencer didnt even offer any tips on how to hold the paddle, how to stand on the board or anything. I had to ask for a full life jacket. He just sent us on our way. He said if we needed help to ask, but not once did he offer to carry the board down to the water even when he saw one person in our group struggle to return the board walking over the rocks. His only comment was yeah, those rocks are brutal.When I come back to Colorado, I will definitely rent from a different company as I was super disappointed in my experience with the staff...the Reservoir and cove were very beautiful and that made up for the bad experience with renting a board.

Boards were nice, but wanted to charge $40 for a two hour rental when competition literally 10 feet away charges $28.

Definitely would give negative stars. Just buy your own board. The owner is abusive and rude towards both customers and employees. You can tell. Dont waste your money here. Ir go up the hill to the nice folk who rent better quality boards for cheaper. Will never rent here again.

Best hour of my trip! The SUPs are good quality with elastic cords to hold shoes etc. The lake was perfect for the activity too. My toddler loved being the navigator riding on the front as I paddled (be brought a floatie for her), and we had fun together jumping off the huge rock opposite the dock into the water.

We’ve always been impressed with our experiences at What’s SUP! Thank you for employing a wonderful staff and keeping our paddles in the water!

I can’t think of a better way to beat the heat up there. Bring a fishing rod if you think you can especially in the spring. The staff and owner are great!

We rented 2 SUPs while at Carter lake, the staff was very friendly and helpful!

We rented paddle boards over the weekend and it was a FANTASTIC experience. The owner was great and appreciated their flexibility and coaching on how to use the paddle boards. I highly recommend these guys!

Better priced rentals are available outside the reservoir

I am not sure about the rentals however the staff they have to help over the phone are rude and lack any kind of care in helping people book boards.
