I really like the flexibility this center offers compared to others in the area. The teachers are very welcoming and my 6 year old is very comfortable.

I was referred to Huntington by a coworker who had been very pleased.My son took ACT prep classes at Huntington. Amanda is incredibly knowledge, organized and helpful. The tutors are personable and articulate. After a number of reschedules attributed to COVID, my son took the Oct ACT and we could not be happier with his score. Now comes the hard part, we wait for notifications of acceptance and scholarships. :)From personal experience, I highly recommend this location.

I am a former Huntington Parent and wanted to give them a big Thank You. I know they help students achieve their college goals, but they don’t always hear what happens to their students after they leave Huntington.I stopped in this week to see if Huntington would be interested in donating to a silent auction to help support a very worthwhile non-profit in Fort Collins. Of course they said yes, but what struck me was how they remembered my kids! My kids are now 23 and 20, and used Huntington for ACT prep as well as tutoring for some tough classes like Calculus. My son was a student athlete, who graduated from Whitman College with honors, and is employed in the Northwest. My daughter is a junior, and also a student athlete at University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and has maintained a 4.0. Huntington not only helped them reach their ACT goals, but worked with them to improve study skills. I know that has been beneficial to both in college. My son is thinking about Business School, and I am definitely going to tell him that the Fort Collins Huntington could help him prep over zoom for the GRE’s! Looking back it was a very good investment.

Huntington helped our daughter obtain an ACT score of 34. It was tough work, but the team at Huntington did a fabulous job of working with her to determine the best approach for learning. Their communication with us and diligence to making sure our daughter succeeded was outstanding!

We love these guys! Over the past 4 years, we have had both of our children use the Huntington Learning systems and found success for both for their own needs. The ACT prep plan proved to be very beneficial for us and will end up saving money for college because of our decision to spend it now. It does take work and dedication by the student, but the care and attention given to my kids was great and helped them to be more confident in their learning. Id recommend them to anyone for general tutoring and learning as well as the ACT prep course. Thanks to all of them!

I had a meeting with my daughters teacher last week and my daughter went up 1 whole grade since she has been going to Huntington. (About 4-5 months) The domino effect of doing better has boosted my daughters confidence and attitude towards school and her teachers.This service is worth the price if you want your kids to feel better school and life in general. Huntington is a great place to help your kids with anything they need, whether it be test prep, study skills or subject tutoring! It’s a great environment, where the staff really cares and each student receives the attention he or she deserves. Huntington offers personalized, one-on-one instruction time with plenty of resources, in a quiet and distraction-free space. It’s so great to have students become motivated to learn and strive for their own betterment. No matter if they need some help catching up, or just need to be challenged, Huntington is where they can achieve great things!

HLC is a great place for any student! They offer subject tutoring, ACT/SAT training and practice tests, writing and studying skills, and much more. The staff is always friendly, caring, and helpful. The tutors have knowledge and experience with nearly every subject. They focus their efforts on students individually so that students may learn and improve at their own pace and in a way that is natural for them. The center is willing to work with your familys schedule to the best of their ability and meet the needs of every student.

My two youngest children went through the ACT program. Both increased their scores by 6 and 10 points. Because of this, they were able to get amazing scholarships to the universities they wanted most. Huntington also worked around their busy high school schedules and extracurricular activities, which was a big help and took away some of the stress. They also loved their tutors! Definitely give them a call!

The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and attentive to each students objective. My son resisted attending initially but saw his own improvement over the course of the school year. His math grade improved significantly and he is motivated now to improve his skills in other areas as well.My daughter attended Huntington for ACT prep and appreciated the specific feedback and tools the staff provided to her. She says the test taking skills have helped her perform well on other exams.

If youre looking to help your student/child strengthen individual skills and improve standardized testing scores, this is definitely a place for you! Teachers are concerned with individualized attention and a program that is catered to the individual student. I personally enjoy working here, and being able to observe the progression of each individual is an enormous reward!

My elementary aged son was behind on reading, and Huntington did an amazing job getting him all caught up. His teacher was amazing and he was so eager to go every week. I cannot say enough good things about how Huntington helped to transform his ability, attitude, and confidence.

HLC made a lifetime impact on my daughter. Not only did her tutors sufficiently prep her for the ACT (she had a huge gain in score!), it gave my daughter the skills to succeed in college. Her critical thinking and comprehension skills improved dramatically. I highly recommend Fort Collins HLC! It was worth every penny.

My daughter’s SAT score went up a fair amount after just two or three weeks of sessions. I wish we had started earlier as the training is obviously relevant and helpful. Highly recommend!

I can not say enough positive things about Huntington in Fort Collins!! I have a son with a pediatric arthritis condition who fell behind because he missed so much school. They have been amazing with him and his test scores have increased. More importantly, he feels that they inspire him to learn and build him up. His stress level has gone down and his confidence has gone up. They have been an amazing blessing to our family. I would recommend them to anyone.

This place is way overpriced for the quality of the service they provide. Even though the students have individual tutoring session, the program is very standardized. I dont think it is as customized as they claim. The system is clearly setup to bill the maximum number of hours they can rather than trying to make it as efficient as possible. They also request to deposit a month-worth of training ahead of time. Accounting is very obscure and not handled locally. No statement is provided. Good luck with keeping track of what you have spent or arguing about it in case you disagree.

I know several people who sent their high-school children to Huntington for ACT and SAT prep...their scores went way up in every category. The tutors are amazing, and they work with each student individually to develop a customized plan. They also work with elementary and middle school students to improve performance. As a parent, I strongly urge anyone who is looking for some extra academic assistance to check-out Huntingtons programs.

Taking the ACT or SAT can be daunting but Huntington tutors build students confidence and test taking skills. The program teaches strategies that reduce time spent per question and strengthens content comprehension.

We have had a great experience with the knowledgeable staff and custom schedule. This is my second kid in the program and we are grateful for such a powerful local resource.

This is a review for the ACT and SAT exam prep tutoring. The other programs and subject tutoring may be fine, but I know about their ACT/SAT tutoring. Basically, I think there are better quality alternatives and at a better cost.First, the quality of the instruction manuals the tutors use for SAT and ACT is not very good. These manuals have many mistakes in the explanations, wrong answers to some of the practice questions and some questions not very helpful and just weirdly complicated for the kind of questions that are on the real ACT/SAT. Getting a good tutor may compensate some for the poor quality instruction materials, but this is a job that pays about $12/hour, so its hard for them to recruit and retain quality tutors.The person who runs(ran?) the SAT/ACT program at this location tutors, but is not a very good math tutor even thought she thinks she is. I seriously doubt she can score a 30 on the ACT. Just to illustrate her incompetence and/or lack of integrity, I give this one instance in the lab.One student very good at math came in. Any tutor with good mathematical aptitude can tell after a few minutes with this student that he had a very good chance to score a perfect 36 on the ACT math and mostly just needed to focus in on some of the more advance math and test taking strategy. But this director asked him about prime numbers and he erroneously assume that 1 is prime. This is common and not realizing that 2 is the smallest prime has a small chance to lead to a wrong answer on the exam. But this director used this to try to convince this student that he needed to methodically go through all the math material. Now, spending many sessions doing this may enable HLC to charge a lot more money for the lessons and that is why I mention lack of integrity. But also I think this director is not a good math tutor and lacks math aptitude to be able to spot gifted students.The marketing is a bit dishonest. They state scores will go up with their program. But there are lots of things one can do to improve ACT/SAT scores without forking over tons of money. If you spend any amount of time studying or taking practice test, then your score will improve. There is nothing magical they do here that will give a student a big advantage over many other ways to prepare for either exam.In addition, many of the reviews here are from some of the owners, directors and employees of this center.Their ACT tutoring is marginally better than their SAT tutoring because they have several of the real ACT test, but not real SAT. For the SAT, they use practice tests from books you can purchase for less than $30 each. Many of these tests are simply horrible. I wouldnt recommend purchasing these. But, For both the ACT and SAT, you can purchase books that have real tests from the developers of the the exams for a lot less money that HLC charges you.Also, a very popular free educational online platform has fabulous SAT online instruction and in collaboration with the developer and administrator of the SAT, The College Board, have eight real SAT tests that you can take online or download pdf and print to take with pencil.For the GRE, I studied on my own and used material from the developer and administrator of the GRE, Educational Testing Service, to prepare. I once scored a perfect 800 on the math and went from about 45th percentile to 75th percentile on the verbal part. So I think self study can be very effective, but I think its important to use real test for practice.So there are much better alternatives, so I would not recommend spending your money here for ACT/SAT preparation.
