Joseph’s is an awesome neighborhood hardware store. Great selection. This my first stop for hardware and home project supplies. Great staff and customer service. Shop local!

Joseph’s hardware seems like a great store and nearly every employee was more than helpful with exception of Sean in the paint deportment. We bought 2 gallons of paint, started our project and returned to 7 buy more. The new paint was different than the first. I supplied the code. Seam said he had a few options when typing in the code and instead of asking me what the color ratios were (which I had) he just picked one and didn’t mention it. I call to explain the situation and ask for two gallons of the new color to replace the first two. He tells me to come in and he would mix it up. We drive 40 minutes to get the paint and he said they were out. He seemed disinterested in helping and burdened by our $450 sale. I get mistakes happen but there wasn’t an apology, inventory check or understanding.Again Joseph’s Hardware is a great store and all other employees were extremely helpful. I’m not sure why the guy works there when he clearly doesn’t want to.Reply:Matt, thank you for reaching out. I appreciate you offering to help resolve the issue. You have an excellent store and I will be back with more projects. I have no intention of deterring business to you, I just felt you should be aware of the issue. Everyone else was above and beyond. Two separate people brought me carts without asking, one offered to help me to the car and they were both happy and helpful.

I just discovered these folks today and I am incredibly impressed with their prices. I am an electrician and was browsing their wire and while their supply isnt huge, they beat out most other places by half the price! I left with some decent insulated work gloves and another pair as well, for again, about half the price of the other guys(home depot, lowes etc.) I cant wait to go back and really check out all the other stock they have!

I love this local hardware store. The owner is incredibly kind, the employees are helpful, and they carry a good selection of items considering the small size of the store. I also love that its located in a shopping center where I can run multiple errands (grocery, pet store, etc.).

Unbeatable fastener section thats well organized. Easily 10x the number of speciality fasteners as Home Depot. Rather than spending 20 minutes digging through the mess of drawers at HD (which are half out of stock), its much better to come to Josephs and find what you need almost immediately. Ive been several times for oddball fasteners and have never left empty handed.

Recently i celebrated one year of part-time employment at Josephs, so....full disclosure. Speaking as a semi-retired 70-year-old....Its almost a pleasure to work there with such a friendly and knowledgeable crew and so many friendly and loyal customers. And they get to bring their dogs! We get to give them treats and make instant friends. Thats the kind of place Josephs is. Welcoming and helpful. Come see us, say hello and maybe sign up for our Rewards program. Its well worth it.

Best place to shop for affordable home repairs

Came to Estes park on vacation, broke my belt and needed one NOW🤣🤣 (Shorts falling down) Could not for the life of me find a place to buy a belt. On our way through Fort Collins on a last ditch effort pulled over at the hardware store to see if they had a belt of some sort.🤣🤣Walked in, asked the older gentleman if they sold belts, his eyes crossed and answered no, sorry.A much younger gentleman spoke up with “We can make him a belt” I was Heck Yes!!! As we walked to the back he grabbed a co-worker and asked him if he wanted to help make a belt and he asked with surprise “We make belts? I need a belt too.”Found a friction buckle, some nylon webbing he cut to size and a couple of staples YES!! Staples!! I had a belt!!! After we paid for “The Belt” I wore it White Water Rafting, out to dinner and now going to wear my new belt on the rest of our vacation and then some!! I’m a DIY guy and hardly get caught by surprise but to have these 2 teenagers catch me by surprise made my wife laugh at me 🤣🤣 Gentlemen, You all Rock!!To the manager...This is the new generation and you have have super stars that are representing your store with all the best of intentions!!!Thank you

Great service and advice on fixing home fixtures. Good rental equipment. Nice to have a GREAT hardware in the neighborhood. Fixed my toilet valve easily. Always check with them first. Randy is a great help

This is THE place to go if you need help with a faucet or shower valve. Katie (who used to own R&R plumbing) can identify, rebuild or help replace any part. She is a treasure.

Josephs is a great locally owned hardware store that we frequent almost weekly! Need a certain bolt or screw? Theyve got it? Working on a project for school and need some advice? Theyll help you out - maybe even pitch in and create the part you need! Cant ask for better a better service minded business where their goal is to help me get the job done.

Wow, went in to get some boards. Needed them cut down to fit in my car. Well, that’s asking to much! They did it. 5 boards cut in half. Took 30 minutes. Every other person that came in got immediate placation. After the long wait, I was told by the teenage person helping me, “this got my shirt all dusty.” As if I inconvenienced him in some way. Home Depot dose not berate customers that way. I am all for “local” business! But when my purchase inconveniences the less than desirable help, I will start shopping major chains that control this type of hostility. Way to let a shopper down.

The gentleman helping me, put the screw i was looking for that I brought in,Into a bin of screws that looked similar but wrong, to my screw.Took quite a while for me to find my screw while he went to help other people.

I always enjoy going into Joe’s hardware store. I went in after a few errands and asked for Botanical Interest seeds which they always have every year, and the gal said sure over there. We then talked briefly about the Borage seeds I bought and she was so super friendly kind. Nice to have them in this spot off Drake and Taft! Thanks you guys!

This store is fantastic. My last review was just not good enough. The staff here are more than friendly and they make sure that you were taking care of regardless if you find what you’re looking for. They offer the most knowledgeable advice, order something if you can’t find it, and always leave you wanting to come back. I won’t shop anywhere else because the manager here is just amazing. He keeps the store clean, organized and well lit. I will not shop at Any other hardware store. If I can’t find it at Joe’s, then I don’t need it

Im so over discrimination in Colorado. Iv been going to this store for 6yrs and today i go new cashiers and they see me come in yes im big yes im bald yes im bearded and brown basically every time i get mistaken for black or samoan. I was needing some washers as i was putting an engine together and i was a little dirty sweating ect but nothing extreme i was asked to leave. So went to jax where those counrty folks always welcome me cause they know hard working people.

My family makes purchases from this store several dozen times each year: wasp traps, gardening tools, wood putty and stain, specialty glues, cleaning products, assorted hardware, and even local salsa and marshmallows. We are so lucky to have them in the neighborhood! The staff is incredibly helpful, even if youre buying a single screw. For example, they helped us find a screw to fit a patio chair and helped figure out a solution when we lost the screw that held an extended basketball pole in place. I love this store!

I love this place. I go there all the time for whatever I need. They have a surprisingly large selection of just about everything and they can special order other things or you can order through the website and have it delivered to the store. They also have a very knowledgeable and helpful staff, which is what really separates them from the big box competitors.

To whom it may concern: I was totally blown away by the service I received at Josephs Hardware. I brought in a small battery operated lantern that was my daughters (bought at a garage sale but dont tell them because they worked so hard on something so inexpensive) that needed to bulbs replaced. Matt (the owner) and another employee spent over 45 min. taking it apart and replacing the bulbs while also enlarging the receptors so the new bulbs would fit. Not only would this never happen in a big box store but I have waited for 45 min. just trying to get help in a big box store. A big thanks to Matt and his staff. My daughter loved camping with the new lantern that afternoon. Great stuff!

This place is among the greatest. The staff is friendly and helpful. The selection may not be exactly what the big box stores are, but the prices are right on and they can order anything that you want. The staff here has cut wood for me, pointed me towards the right supplies tie and time again and always saves me money in keeping me from buying the wrong tools/supplies or overbuying. This place is a treasure.

Horrible experience at this store. Waited for help and the guy that helped didnt even know what the part was, was beyond rude told me if I didnt see it then you dont carry it. Then he walked off, when I went to the front to ask for management again waited and nothing. 43 yr Colorado native I will never come back to this store and will gladly spread the word
