Thought for sure truck needed a 1000 in repairs. Was advised to diagnose for a hour first. They found a minor issue on the box truck and charged only 270. Honest as they come. Spoke with a very nice lady. (Yesterday) from when I wrote this review.

I will start by saying...These guys are AWESOME!!! Now...let me tell you a lil story. About a year and a half ago, we noticed our tow truck developed a loud whistle and some surging. Didnt know where it was coming from or what was causing it. It had a mind of its own and was an intermittent problem. We took her to several shops...not going to mention any names...for diagnostics and repairs. Money after money was being drained from our account, yet the truck was Not fixed. We even gave the shops authorization to spend as much money as needed to fix her. After throwing away over $6,000 at the problem, we decided to give Diesel Services a shot. Let me tell you now...Jesse & Kent were absolutely amazing! They had our truck for 1 day...and $600 later...she was fixed!!! Something nobody had been able to accomplish in over a year! These guys did such a phenomenal job, I will Never take my truck ANYWHERE else. The techs at Diesel Services definitely know their Stuff and we cant Thank them enough for the wonderful job they did. If you have a Diesel that needs Any work...you HAVE to call these guys. You wont be disappointed!!! 5 stars All the Way!!

Took my 2007 Ram for front end work. Needed a mew steering box (i provided one from a supplier I trust.) I also asked for all ball joints be replaced. While they were doing this they found i needed a new drag link, U-joints, and brake pads. Very pleased with the work and the results. Truck drives like it is brand new, highly recommend anyone with dodge steering problems to take their truck here for a rebuild. Worked with Stuart in the office, very nice guy, knows his stuff, very personable. Joey was the mechanic who did the work, he did a great job, the interior of my truck was not soiled at all, other mechanics have turned my interior grimey, he did not. Very nice, talented, knowledgeable gentleman who completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. Diesel services does not offer alignment services in house, and I needed my truck before they could get it to the business they use for their alignments. Despite this, the truck is fairly well aligned by Joey. Slight pull to the right, so i will be getting an alignment just to avoid any tire wear.Diesel work is expensive but I feel i got my moneys worth taking my truck here. I have been to many other shops with my trucks and have not been treated well or been satisfied but I am VERY satisfied this time. Will bring my truck back here in the future.

Fantastic service on our 5th wheel. Kept us informed all during the repair process. They had to contact the RV manufacturer for parts and also find local suppliers for some parts. Fair price and outstanding service. We are thankful we found them for our repairs while traveling.

Before even taking my truck in I can already tell this is not the place I want to go to. Called and asked for an estimate on a few parts that I need replaced, the lady on the phone seemed very obvious that she wanted nothing to do with me. She told me that she would call back in a few minutes to give me an estimate and I can see now that, that wont be happening. First impression was not good, I do not plan on coming here in the future. Doesnt help that there are so many bad reviews.

I would not recommend this group they do not stand behind there work. Charged me $438 for labor to replace orifice tube which takes one hour labor. Had to take my truck to another place to fix same issue. They claim they fixed what I told them to fix so I wonder why I was charged so much in labor. I left the truck overnight to diagnose and fix issue.

This place is fantastic. We had a bad alternator in our motorhome, and not only did they go out of there way to hunt down an alternator they made time in their schedule to get it put in and us back on the road. Thank you!

Took my 2008 F-250 in with a bizarre issue. My starter had engaged while I was driving and burned itself up. Not only did they replace the starter (with very fast turnaround), but they were able to determine a root cause that was completely non-intuitive. The remote starter had flaked out because of corroded battery terminals and inconsistent voltage to the control unit. I was skeptical at first, but the manufacturer of the remote start/security unit confirmed that this problem is not unheard of. A starter and some minor battery maintenance got it running like new again.

They charged me twice what I payed to have the defective clutch they installed replaced. They also did nothing to warranty the factory defective clutch when I had to have it replaced 2 months later. If I were to break down in their driveway I would have my truck towed elsewhere. I would suggest you do the same if you have problems in the Ft. Collins, CO area.

I stopped by in person to inquire about a valve adjustment on my diesel pusher motor home. Told them what engine it had, Cummins ISB, said the bed raises up to access the engine compartment. They said they could do it but it would take more time than a regular truck which I understood and agreed to the increased cost. Called back the next day after looking at my schedule and made the appointment. Again, told them it was a diesel pusher with a Cummins. I showed up at the appointed time and was told we dont work on motor homes after driving 50 miles and arranging my schedule. Even there website says motor home service and repair. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I took my 1995 Ford F-350 to Northern Colorado Diesel Service exclusively for the purpose of having an oil leak repaired. I knew I had a faulty alternator, and a check engine light (CEL). I took the truck to the shop b/c it was leaking oil all over the street in front of my house and I wanted to stop this immediately before it caused a large permanent oil spot on my newly paved street. I knew where the oil was leaking from at the front of the plenum and I explained this to the service rep. When I came to p/u the vehicle, they had not repaired the oil leak, but instead informed me that I had a faulty alternator, which they believed to be causing the CEL. I knew this already and had made it clear this was not the purpose of my visit. The rep also stated that I had a fuel leak in addition to the oil leak. They said that the defective alternator was causing the CEL, and recommended changing the fuel lines, which they claimed were leaking. The source of the oil leak (I had already explained this when I dropped the truck off, as it was plain to see) was the HPOP resevoir. I agreed to replace the reservoir cover / gasket and fuel lines, and they ordered the parts (about $150 total). Before returning, I replaced the alternator with a new OEM unit the following week and took the vehicle back to have the oil/fuel leak repaired a week after that. Tony, the service rep called me the following day and said my truck was ready to p/u. When I arrived to p/u my vehicle, just as they were closing, Tony informed me that the part they ordered (that was causing the oil leak) was the wrong part, but that the tech had pulled out the non-serviceable plug (located on the exterior of that cover), applied sealer to it and re-installed it, claiming this had stopped the oil leak. I was then presented with a bill for over $600, of which a portion was $57 for the diagnosis they had done 2 weeks prior. I did not authorize the tampering of the non-serviceable plug (which Ford calls a non-serviceable plug b/c it is not supposed to be serviced) and disputed the charges based on the fact that I did not authorize this repair and that there was an additional $57 diagnostic charge added, for a total of $114 in diagnostic charges for items I explicitly requested be repaired (no need to diagnose). I also argued that the charges to replace the fuel lines were exorbitant / unreasonable. The fact is, when a repair shop has your vehicle, you dont get it back until you pay the bill... so I paid it. The truck was brought around to me and delivered it to me running. After a few miles, I noticed that the check engine light was on and it never went off the whole way home. In the past, the CEL had always gone off upon reaching operating temp. I was extremely disappointed and barely got the truck home. That weekend, I went out to start the truck and it would not start at all. It still will not start and beneath it is a noticeable oil spot caused by the leak for which I originally took it in to have fixed. I had the truck towed to another shop and upon bringing the truck indoors, I noticed the smell of diesel fuel that was still leaking from somewhere in the plenum. I had the oil changed at a cost of another $150, and the truck still will not start. So in the end, they did not fix the oil leak, which is the only issue I requested be repaired, they did not fix the fuel leak, which they said was vital, Im out $603, and now my truck will not start or run as a result. Horrible experience!Instead of making things right, DSNC management seems to issue damage control statements on each complaint. Like most of us, I dont have time for the he said, she said. Never going back and advise you to steer clear.PS: Just found out from the other shop that when they changed the fuel lines, they left the glow plug relay unplugged and damaged the wiring to the IPR. Unreal! $1000 out the window... now I can START to address that oil leak.

First they did not complete the repair in the agreed time period, Secondly they misdiagnosed the repair and would not provide the used part for testing, third the truck had problems as a result of the repair two additional times within 5,000 miles, fourth they gave me a list of additional BS / incorrect repairs needed to resolve my issue. It was clear the repair done did not resolve the issue within five miles after pickup. These unnecessary / incorrect repairs suggested at this point would have cost over $2,500. Ford fixed the initial issue and said the suggested repairs were not neccisaryThe second time repair was required to fix the sloppy work of Diesel Services I obviously used another shop. That shop fixed the issue and said that Diesel services used silicon to hold an electrical connection rather than use a clip ford engineered specifically for the valve cover electrical connection.Diesel services charged me over a $1,000 for a repair that was not necessary and cost me three days of lost work due to the initial delay with the repair and poor quality of their work.when confronted about the poor quality of repair they argued that they would not have done the repair without the clip and that the specific electrical connection I was having issues with would come loose consistently and that their mechanics would use the clips for the repair. Yet I have documentation of the connection failing two times within 5,000 miles and a shop clearly stating it was poor quality workmanship causing the issues.Very dishonest and clearly not capable of admitting error or fixing poor quality repair work the second time around.

I am the original owner of a shiny Gen 1 Dodge Cummins, and I use it for business in remote areas of Colorados mountains, where it gets worked hard and must never, ever break down, summer or winter, day or night. I do a fair amount of the maintenance and minor repair work on it because I enjoy tinkering, grease and the smell of diesel. However, when real issues crop up, it is often the case that I do not have the time, patience, knowledge or the right tools to do the job, and do it right - assuming I have the ability to figure out what the problem is to begin with. And so I have been bringing my truck to Diesel Services of Northern Colorado for years, as needed. I have found them to be courteous, reliable, professional and ready to go out of their way to keep my rig going and going.Did I mention I -hate- king pins? DSNC replaced them years ago, and Ive had no issues with the replacements. Clutch? Been there, done that. Routine valve adjustments and pump timing, when I dont have the time? Yep. Various brake and cabling issues? Theyve taken care of them. Tie rod ends, and the mysterious tie rod that was installed, stock, -backwards- by Chrysler? Seems impossible, but DSNC figured it out. Lift pump, injector pump, steering column, wiring issues, power steering pump, clutch master and slave cylinders, speedo, exhaust system, drive train, windshield and numerous other Chrysler issues have been taken care of by DSNC. My last visit to DSNC was last week, after the truck started to develop a fuel system issue, smack in the middle of winter when I need the normally reliable truck in the field. Diagnosis and repair was fast, and the problem was solved. (No, it was not ice or gel, it was a wiring issue that would have taken me a long time to figure out.) As for the Cummins itself, well, at 350k miles, I have never had a problem with the youngster, but when I do, Ill be visiting DSNC.My objective for repairs is to get it fixed, and fixed right the first time, because I do not have time for fixing fixes. This means allowing for careful diagnoses and following the recommendations of the pros at DSNC. DSNC has always been up-front, in writing and by phone, every step of the way and every time I have brought my truck in, as to what their best estimate of diagnosis, mechanical work and parts costs were going to be. Without reservation, I highly recommend bringing your diesel truck to DSNC if you live in, or are passing through, northern Colorado.
