I recently purchase a home and discovered vinyl-asbestos floor tiles and abnormally high counts of mold spores (from an air quality test) in my basement. I had Davis Consulting and Contracting perform an asbestos consultation, asbestos abatement and mold remediation. Davis was knowledgeable of where asbestos could be and what the asbestos containing materials looked like. The abatement consultation was informative on what precautions and steps needed to be taken. The abatement is well contained and clean, utilizing high-powered HEPA air-scrubber, HEPA vacuum, poly (plastic) sheeting, etc. The same containment and cleanliness was done during the mold remediation. Davis went above and beyond with his work to remove the asbestos and to kill the mold and prevent any mold and mildew from returning. He did so without using potent chemicals, which is good become some potent chemicals dont work at killing mold on porous surfaces, like cinder block and the foundation slab. NOTE: Low levels of mold spores are typical in a home due to outdoor mold spores being brought in on your clothes. Certain factors can be taken by the home owner to prevent mold from growing and becoming a nuisance in their home. This is why an outdoor (control) sample is taken to compare the air quality of ones home. My basement is transformed for the better. I can breathe and sleep easy knowing my house is safer for me. Cost was the number one thought on my mind, especially after just buying the house a month prior, and Daviss pricing is fair and reasonable for the amount of work and information he gave me.
