Completely mishandled the situation when my dog passed and was cremated. We were given the option for different paw print ornaments when my dog unexpectedly passed away in May 2021, so we requested clay paw prints be made. Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic did not fill out the paperwork correctly when they sent her to the partner facility to be cremated. When we went to pick up her remains, we asked where the clay paw prints were. The clinic then lied and said that they filled out the paperwork correctly (they assured us of this multiple times) and that the clay paw prints must have been left at the other facility. A few days later they called and revealed they had looked at their paperwork again and the clay paw print option was never checked off correctly when they sent over the paperwork, so the clay paw prints were never made. It was heartbreaking, like losing her all over again. Now all we have left of my poor baby is her ashes and an ink print of her paw on a card that the clinic provided. If you decide to go here, please be so careful and ask them for a copy of the paperwork so you can verify it yourself before its too late. To their credit, they refunded the price of the cremation and offered to purchase other memorial items to make up for it; but the damage has already been done. Nothing can replace her precious paw prints.

Was able to bring my dog in almost immediately, just had to wait for the desk person to input data. They looked at my dog, took vitals, and performed a thorough examination and answered my questions in non-doctor speak. I would definitely bring any of my pets to this location in the future. I live in southwest Denton, but always come to this Flower Mound location for my pet emergencies. The staff is so friendly and always concerned about my dog. They always have the dogs best interest, and they are not out to just do procedures to make money. I just feel very comfortable here and that is why I choose to drive a few more miles to have the excellent care for my dog.

Flower Mound Emergency Clinic is by far the best place to take your fur baby. We could not find an emergency clinic that was available in our area. We drove 45 minutes to flower mound. from the moment I called they were Professional, calm and so helpful. Once I arrived my pup went with nurse no problem. They talked me through every step of the way and gave me insight on the cost as well. There were no surprises along the way. The Doctor was so amazing, she was very clear and patient with me. helping me understand what was going on. It was definitely worth the drive for my peace of mind. Everyone I had interactions with were wonderful..

It was a busy night, and we werent able to go into the building for over an hour as all of the exam rooms were full with other customers and their pets. Our dog, however, was taken in immediately and some lab techs checked her over while we waited in the car. Not really thrilled with the restrictions placed on families in not being able to wait in the waiting room, but we do understand. Fortunately, our dog didnt have anything life threatening that they were able to find; and we were advised to have her seen by our own vet the next day to run some tests. Unfortunately, an appointment wasnt available for nearly a week at our vets office. So far, so good though.

Everyone that helped us was compassionate and helpful. We received a follow up call that night and discussed options for our sweet dog. We went back the next day and had another positive experience. Would highly recommend this practice.

Great service all around from the moment I called seeking info about what to do after our dog got bit by a suspected copperhead snake, to when we arrived in the parking lot and the tech came to our aid calmly and kindly soothing us and our dog. We didn’t have to wait. The doctor also was very informative and didn’t waste our money on any unnecessary procedures keeping our bill down and being totally frank about how to proceed. I trust this vet and staff completely and will definitely use them again in the future. This was our first time to use the clinic and I’m very glad we did!!

The staff was friendly and were quick to help my doggie after he went into diabetic shock. We called ahead and the staff was able to exam and treat him as soon as we arrived. They were upfront with the expected cost and went over the treatment plan in great detail. My family is very thankful to them for saving our beloved Roscoe.

Because of their ability to listen and offer a step by step approach to how to care for our pet. They were not dismissive snd validated our concerns. It was the 3rd bet we had been to that day and was best.

Our almost 13 year old dog has laryngeal paralysis and could barely breathe after getting too warm on a Sunday night, so we rushed him to Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic. Right away they brought a gurney to our vehicle and took him inside to work on getting his temperature down, which was dangerously high. They managed to safely lower his body temp. and calm him down so he could breathe normally. He stayed overnight for observation and the next morning when we picked him up, amazingly, he walked out on his own!. The doctor and staff were professional & informative. They saved his life and were so incredibly grateful!

Very grateful for the vets and their devoted staff who gave my pup exceptional care when she was injured by another dog. They were truly extraordinary on every level. Thank you!

Our pup went into (what we now know was) anaphylactic shock in our backyard. It was terrifying and we called them as we rushed her to the pet clinic. They were so responsive and took care of her instantly. When we pulled in the parking lot they had a gurney ready to go and rushed her to the back to start treating her. They kept coming over to us to keep us updated on how she was doing and to explain everything that was happening. They even let me give her a hug when she was stabilized. So grateful to say our pup made it thanks to the quick response and teamwork of the clinic team.

FM Emergency Pet Clinic was amazing with our aging sick schnauzer. They were so thorough and knowledgeable. They took such good care of him and although we didnt get the outcome we wanted, I am thankful he was so well cared for at the end of his life.

We had an pet emergency and called Flower Mound Pet ER on Sunday. They picked up the phone immediately, advised us of the wait time, curbside policy and costs. We went and they immediately checked us in over the phone, came out and took our baby to be checked out and the Dr called within 20 minutes with a diagnosis. The entire staff was pleasant and thorough. The process was excellent.

This is the second time I have used this emergency clinic and both experiences have been great. The staff is amazing and very compassionate. The doctors are very knowledgeable and caring with my animals. I would highly recommend this clinic.

I am beyond thankful for this place. I took my baby in and I was heard about all his problems, they took the time to hear me out and not rush me to be in and out. Took their time to check everything that was wrong with him and kept me on the loop about everything done. I am also thankful that I was given the options about things to help my pocket out $. It was very affordable for everything they did. I am so so thankful for the staff and Dr at this location. I was given answers to what was wrong with him. Unfortunately I had to lay him to rest the next day due to finding out he had lung and hip cancer. But thank you thank you thank you for all that you did and most importantly because you CARED. I 100% recommended this place.

When I called back in the evening to ask questions, Maddie was caring and patience with me. I didnt get other names of the staff but ALL who I spoke with were wonderful.

Unfortunately I have been in need of FMEPC several times in the past years with my sweet fluffs having major medical concerns on weekends. Each time the staff has been kind, informative and calm through the stress. Their professionalism through these confusing and scary moments greatly contributes to the way I feel when I leave. Whether were getting to go home and cuddle or being transferred to my personal vet for further testing/monitoring, FMEPC keeps me updated and prepared for the next steps. In the end, the most important thing is that they care, not only for your fluff, but also for you.

I rescued a wild rabbit from an outdoor cat. He was small and clearly injured possibly paralyzed hind legs. We were referred by others that live in Flower Mound. Maddie was so caring and eased our hearts that this little guy wouldnt suffer. They didnt charge a penny, and we appreciate her kindness.

Vet, Tech, and front desk were experienced and professional. I always felt the staff genuinely cared about my pet. I didnt feel like I was being taken for a ride, like I have at other animal ERs. I took my little pup in both Saturday and Sunday. He was in pain and having lots of issues after surgery. Becca was fabulous; in fact, everyone was great. The doctors explained very clearly what was going on and methods of treatment. I was very impressed with their caring and professionalism.Thank you all.

The clinic made contact quickly regarding my dog and her condition, they listened carefully to my description of the problem, they came and got her and in about 15 minutes had a treatment plan and included us as part of the decision-making team. We were in and out in less than an hour with 4-5 other patients being treated.The staff was courteous and the doctor was quick to respond to questions and advice. My dog’s symptoms progressed as the doctor felt they would and resolved with the therapy and medications! Our doodles mean the world to us and we would go back again if needed! The price was not outrageous at all, especially considering it was Sunday at 1pm, we were prepared for the worst. Not necessary!!!

Took out sick cat tonight and first of all you have to stay in your car and call in. Then they come out and tell you it could be two hours before they can see you. Only one dr avail in an animal emergency hospital. So now we have to see how he does tonight and try to get him in to his regular vet in the am. Not happy with this place

We took our almost 15 year old Poodle there at 4 a.m. I called ahead of time and told them about his rapid breathing and that he was a heart patient. When we got there someone immediately came and got him to start assessing him before they even had us complete paperwork. We got our baby back at 6:00 p.m. that day and it was amazing how much better he was. They saved our babys life. I will definitely go there again should the need arise.

Ive taken two aged family members to this clinic in times of high stress over their health. The staff is compassionate, responsive, knowledgeable, and treat the pets as the treasure we view them. Due to Covid, we were unable to accompany our aged dog recently, but the staff called every 5 minutes with updates and are incredibly insightful. When they retrieved her from the car (she was unable to walk), they took great care to ensure she was at ease. I would not hesitate to visit this ER again.

My son was referred to this clinic because his cat was in critical condition. The vet called ahead to tell them that my son would be bringing the cat and what the condition of the cat was in. My son arrived and the clinic made him wait in the parking lot for well over an hour. Now the cat is in worst condition than when he arrived.When I spoke to the clinic they claimed they didn’t know the cat was critical condition. That is BS because the vet told them what the condition of the cat was in. They said he had to wait because of another animal. So do they not have enough personnel? How did they get emergency room status? DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! I am praying the cat makes it through the night so my son can take it back to his vet.

Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic was able to take my twelve year old lab, which suddenly couldnt stand or walk, whom I was afraid would have to be put down, and return him to me walking within two hours. The doctor and her assistant were patient with me though it all, calling to keep me updated. They were calm and reassuring when I was upset, and explained what was wrong with my dog and the care he needed. Prescriptions, dosages, and how to help him when he was having difficulty walking were explained in full. I am so thankful FMEPC was there when I needed them.

This was not our first visit to the emergency vet. Each time we have been meet with care and compassion. We feel the care we get is always appropriate and I appreciate that they let our regular vet know about our visit.

I am a new dog mom and my baby is only 9 months old! One minute he’s playing with his bestie in the backyard and the next we are rushing him to the emergency vet. Everyone did a great job with taking care of my sweet boy and even when he had to have an emergency surgery they kept me up to date on everything that was going on and took such good care of my pup. My dog recently messed up his stitches from a surgery last week and started bleeding. I called a few other emergency vets in the area, some of which had 2-3 hour waits. Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic was able to see us immediately. Alexis, Patrick, Dr. Matlock, and everyone we worked with were so extremely helpful, sweet, and calming during a time where I was clearly panicked. Alexis and Dr. Matlock answered every single question we had very thoroughly, and the compassion they showed my pet was very appreciated. Cannot recommend this place enough if youre ever in the awful position of needing emergency care for your pet.

Dr. Phelan is SUPERB! Her kindness and compassion were over and beyond during our pups emergency. I cannot praise her enough. The anesthesiologist (and I dont believe I got her name) was the same. FABULOUS human being that truly understood my concerns. Those two are an exceptional team as is but then you toss in Amy, the vet tech that assisted with our sweet pet and kept us informed, and brought him and his meds out to us and its just the Trifecta of awesome!!! This crew absolutely gave their very best and made an awful situation so much easier to address and confront. Best. Team. EVER.

The tech that got my dog in, I can’t remember her name but she has tattoos on her left arm, glasses, she was super sweet and her professionalism on treating my pup was very clear. The doctor on site was extremely helpful and gave me the best options for my pup and gave me very clear information on the case.

Just moved here 2 months ago and my cat got an upper respiratory inf. And was treated. I am very pleased with their process and professionalism. The pricing was very fair as well. From what I could see, the facility appeared very clean. I also observed how the staff attended to the other pets that were in and out of treatment. They were very good with ALL the pets. Thank you!

After waiting several hours the only vet on call did see my dog. She gave him pain medication but did not take x rays of his leg which was the main cause for his pain.

Your staff was very prompt and professional in answering our initial phone call when our greyhound injured her paw. Upon arriving we were checked in very quickly and were assured that even though there were several people in front of us that our baby was comfortable and being taken care of. We were contacted with an update on our greyhounds condition on a regular basis while waiting. Your attention to ensuring that our greyhound was taken care of and the fact you communicated with us every step of the way is so important when something like this happens. Came home the other day to learn that my Boxer boy had eaten a bag full of chicken bones. It was just about 6pm and his regular vet was open until 7:00. Called them but there was not a doc on duty 🤬 ... so off we went to the emergency clinic. In my experience it’s $500 to walk in the door of the emergency vet (our total bill was about $550) That’s just how it works with emergency vet care. Overall, our boy got the care he needed and the staff was kind, caring and gave us options and costs.It started with an exam and X-ray. Fortunately only fifteen minutes has elapsed between him eating the bones and our arrival at the clinic. He had a number of bones in his tummy. After getting our approval, they gave him meds to induce vomiting. The doc didn’t think he got everything up. We talked again and she got our approval for a second X-ray. Each step of the way we were informed about the costs. Then we approved a second round of vomiting meds. At that point she could confirm that he got them all up - as a bonus he also threw up a napkin and plastic sauce container. 😂. He was doing well but groggy from all the meds. The receptionist asked if we wanted to give him an anti-nausea med. He wasn’t heaving or uncomfortable, and we live fairly close, so we declined.Nobody wants to spend a bunch of money on emergency care, but gosh- when you need them it’s worth the price. I feel the prices were fair and exactly what I expected. I appreciate the excellent care for my boy. Five stars.

We had to take our cat and dog in for an emergency and Dr. Matlock and the other staff members were so helpful, friendly, and understanding. Their compassion is genuine and we honestly wouldnt have been comfortable anywhere else. We dont live in Flower Mound but drove out there just for Dr. Matlocks help. Amazing customer services, however the waiting time and expectations regarding to it are not so great, you cannot save your spot and neither you can go inside and wait, I had my pregnant wife with me and we had to wait in the car. If you improve this you will get a 5

Everyone was very kind that we dealt with. The only part that I did not care for was having to wait in my car and not enter the clinic due to current covid rules. It was a bit stressful to not be there with my dog while he was being treated. We had to wait for an available vet tech to come to our car and get our dog. I did appreciate how well everyone kept in contact with me via phone, informing me how my dog was doing every step of way. The check in/out process was also very smooth. The cost was also very fair and I appreciated that the vet gave us two different treatment options and in no way pushed the more costly one. She even assured me that if I wanted to opt for x-rays, I was welcome to bring my dog back within 24 hours, if his condition worsened, and I would not have to pay the exam fee a second time.I do think that one person could/should be allowed to be with their pet inside the clinic as long as they are taking proper precautions of wearing a mask and sanitizing their hands. Hopefully these rules will change in the future.

Arrived but cant enter (stupid Covid) so we range the doorbell and it only took about 3min for a very nice lade to discuss the situation and carry my little Abi away. Her instructions were to call the phone # on the door and give all information to the service intake lady. As I waited in my car, I received phone calls from Dr Perry giving me regular updates and explanations of the process and costs associated. In the end I gave me credit card info over the phone to pay my bill and then they came out to my car and handed me my sweet little Abi all fixed up to heal. Thank you for being there for us.

Although I had to wait a while the doctor was very informative on Sophie and her condition and the options. Also was notified of the cost before hand so there were no surprises. The vet tech was also informative telling me what I needed to do when I got home with Sophie. I would definitely use them again.

X-ray machine was down. Found this out after the $135 exam to be taken to another vet clinic 30 min SHY OF MIDNIGHT. 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was kind and compassionate (dr called to check Grapevine location for me to confirm space... thank you!! Opted for another location because it wasn’t rated well online). Next time, try answer the phone with “hi don’t bother coming, our X-ray machine is broken”. The $135 exam fee should be refunded.

Our puppy was bit by a copperhead...the Dr. Matlock was very patient with us and our baby was taken care of quickly. The vet tech that brought our puppy out to us was amazing...she could see how upset I was (which is why I dont recall her name!) and she spent extra time making sure that we were comfortable with taking our girl home. She reassured us and went over all the things to expect the next few days and waited for us to decide if we had any more questions. I am grateful that the staff cares so much about animals and their owners!

My daughters 5 month old Golden Doodle decided to snack on some socks. Of course it was after hours, so I called FM Emergency Pet Clinic. They recommended bringing her in for an exam. Dr. Perry was very thorough and called after each step to explain what she had discovered and what options were available. It was a very stressful time and because of COVID-19 we could not come into the facility. They had to induce vomiting and she threw up 4 socks. It was an expensive trip to the vet, but we are so thankful to Dr. Perry and her staff for taking such good care of our baby. She is doing great! If you have a pet emergency I would highly recommend taking your fur-babies here.

Dr. Matlock talked me through my dog’s diagnosis and answered all of my questions. Additionally, I appreciated the way both women followed safety protocols during Covid times. My very playful non-aggressive dog was attacked by two very aggressive dogs that were brought in late in the evening and let run free while the owners drank over in the corner of the park.She ended up with a pretty good 3” gash on her side that needed stitches.The ER folks got her right in, assessed her and the doctor drew up 3 different treatment plans with different closures (stitches/staples) and different anesthesia (local-numbing/general-asleep).She also went over the min to the max charges depending what decisions we made.It all enabled us to make a clear, informed decision, knowing what to expect up front.No surprises when they handed me the bill except that I expected it near the max and it was $120.00 less.Great care for my dog. Nice people. Great communication throughout.Highly recommend.

My dog was having a terrible allergic reaction. My heart was breaking i was panicking and both the doctor and the office staff at 2 in the morning we so comforting. I am so happy that my puppers is home healthy and happy now. We owe dukes life to them. Thank you so much!!

Flower Mound ER Pet Clinic has provided excellent care for our pets over the last few years. Dr. Perry and Dr. Matlock are always kind, caring, patient and explain carefully and simply the diagnosis and treatment options. While it is never a place you want to end up at the middle of the night, it helps to have such a caring staff - from the reception to the vet tech to the doctor. We loved the Pet Hall of Shame posters which brought a little humor to an otherwise upsetting time!

All of the team members were great!! They took care of our puppy, King. I could call and get an update whenever I wanted--which was often--and they were always happy to give me one!! I have trusted them before with our dog, Sugarplum, and we will continue to rely on them when we cant get to our regular vet! Thank you to everyone!

Just paid 500 plus for blood work and check up until the last moment one woman brings my dog with a leash around his neck. My dog was gagging inside the car for a minute or so. She hurrily gave the paperwork and went inside. It should be standard operating procedure to to have leash around the neck through the waist. I love my pet just as much you love your child. First and last visit.

Everything always happens on the weekend or after hours. Our four year old Husky, got into a garden shed and was able to do the impossible. He was able to open a child proof lid on some rooting hormone that I stumbled upon within minutes.Panic set in and I remember passing this clinic coming home from church making a mental note. We loaded up, called ahead, and was on scene in 30 minutes.I did not think he ingested much if any, but we were taking no chances. On arrival, we were greeted outside (Still COVID protocols) and they took our pupperchino inside. They also helped us coordinate with ASPCA Poison Control (I did not know something like this existed). Poison control was very helpful and based on their EXTENSIVE database. Their fee was $75.00 and well worth it.After the call, the three of us coordinated over the phone (COVID) and the decision was based that no treatment was necessary with what we knew and the poison control data. and out beloved pup was released back to us.AS we were about to drive off, we realized that we had not settled our bill. We recalled and were told- No treatment, no charge.They took the time to intake our dog. They coordinated with ASPCA and sent the info to our regular Vet (who checked in today, so I know they did what they said they would do). The doc working yesterday spoke with us on the phone and gave her professional appraisal after looking over our boy and NO CHARGE????Ladies and Gentlemen; These folks here at Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic are TOPS in my book for : Compassion, Helpfulness, Honesty, Follow Thru.We picked up a box of treats and returned to the Clinic as both we and our boy wanted to say THANK YOU! Keep this number in your phone should a misfortune pet emergency strike!

Dr. Perry at Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic saved our 10 year old dog. Dr. Perry was able to pinpoint the medical issue while dealing with two distraught parents! Through her questioning techniques and reasoning abilities, she was able to determine the true problem: what we thought was a major seizure, ended up being a symptom of internal bleeding due to a tumor on her spleen She connected us with Main Street Vet. Hospital and our dog was in surgery the next day with an incredible surgeon that was able to remove the tumor completely. Post surgery we took our dog back to Flower Mound ER for the night for further monitoring. They gave us peace of mind in what was a stressful emergency situation. We fully recommend them!
