Kwik Kar should engage in safe email practices, confirming email addresses entered by users, rather than sending out surveys to random people on the internets who have not had their email address confirmed.0/10 would not go again ( didnt actually go at all... just got this random survey from someone who put in the wrong email for themselves.)
6 cars in bays, 5 employees, not one person working. They are all in the back yelling and arguing with each other. Been here before it was fine never coming back again after today.
I will not return or recommend. Very disappointed since this place changed hands. The girl working the desk seemed friendly and knowledgeable; a self-proclaimed mechanic with a PhD in all things car maintenance. However, I became leary while waiting as all 3 customers in front of me seemed to have additional costly issues she suggested they have addressed. Sadly, I expect this to happen to us females at a car shop, but not by another female. I patiently waited my turn and, sure enough, she recommends a brake fluid flush on my 1YO car with 17k miles. I did a quick search online and read suggested service for said flush is 30k / every 2 years. I politely decline the $149.99 service.While paying for my oil change only, the girl tells me she and her father have owned the shop for 35 years. I know for a fact that isnt true because the previous owner is a personal friend who JUST sold that shop. As a repeat customer, this is so disappointing and unnecessary. To be fair, I tried to use the website on the receipt to give feedback, but none of the Kwik Kar stores are listed....
The staff were really thoughtful and nice.. got my oil change done quick and they got me out in a timely matter.. I will be going back for future oil changes.. thanks
The women Jenny at the front desk does not need to be in customer service! Luckily for them our car broke down right next to them. It was a battery and they tried to charge us $399 for it my husband is in the business and knows that battery does not cost that much it cost around $149. After telling the woman at the desk that we were not gonna pay for that type of money because it doesn’t cost that she argued and was so rude. She finally gave the right price of $149 and then screamed at my husband and told him never to come back. Don’t worry we won’t be back. But no one else should never go back there either. Note: this review is NOT about the tech that actual fixed the car. He was great. This review is about Jenny who is incredibly rude and has shady selling tactics! Appreciate the change of price but you can’t talk to people like that!

I was quoted a price and was charged more for a filter and oil change . So, I wonder if they actually did because they didnt even reset the oil change reminder or make a sticker with the date confirming that it was done.I wasnt was given a receipt of invoice and told my receipt would be sent by email and I never received it. Also, when they were done with my car suddenly my new battery died. I wasnt having any problems with my car and suddenly it doesnt want to start and when I finally get it started and Im driving its giving a hard thump. What did they do to my car?
I have used this shop in the past and had been impressed by the services I had received and quick turnaround time. My experience today however, was the opposite. I dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning to diagnose an issue and get a vehicle inspection. I received no updates on my vehicle during the day and had to call to get an update towards the end of the day. They then proceeded to tell me that they had been unable to diagnose the issue and also that there were not currently doing inspections. While I do understand that some car problems take time do diagnose, I would have liked to at least get my inspection completed as that was my main reason for taking it in. The issue that I was having looked at would not effect the inspection process. Due to these problems today I won’t be returning.
Been coming here for 10 years..Now they are under new management and I will not be returning. After about an hour waiting for an oil change, I was told I needed to replace my cabin filters. They said my oil change was all done and they could swap them out and I’ll be finished. 45 mins later I asked why I was still waiting and they failed to inform me they had to order the parts and were waiting for them to get there. Over 2 hours in I kindly asked for a refund as I had ran out of time, and 20 mins later as they charged my card back it finally showed up from a quarter of a mile down the street. Had they told me they didn’t have them, I wouldn’t have paid to get them replaced and came back another day. Got home to find out they didn’t even need to be replaced. Terrible management, the female working was nice but others were extremely rude. Half the staff stood around on their phones doing nothing while the waiting room was packed of people waiting for their vehicles. One even asked why they put her car up, down, figured out the problem, then hadn’t touched it to start fixing it with no others in line. Had a manager stepped in and offered me the air filter even after the miscommunication I might have let the situation be smoother over. But paying twice the price for convenience was not worth it after 2 hours when I am fully capable of changing them myself, has they even needed to be replaced.
Please Avoid this place...If there is a zero star I would have given it. I should have checked the review for past 2-3 week in filter. I believe most are 1starIve been going here for past 4 years. But I believe they changed ownership recently (7/24/21 as of writing)and the quality of the services spiraled downwards. I had went their for Oil change and State Inspection. The Charged me for State inspection, which I suspect they have not done. Neither did they provide the physical copy of Inspection results nor was the results on state server. They went on driving me in circles when I asked for copies. When i asked for a refund for that also some excuses. and never gotWhile reading recent reviews I realized that the also up sells Brake fluid flush too. I will never go here again. A 20 min work has become a nightmarish ordeal.
I drove in for an oil change. While waiting inside in the waiting room a fight broke out at the side of my truck. One employee had a broom handle and the other employee had a hammer. They were fist fighting. Bouncing off my truck and the windows of the office. I walked outside and asked if I should leave. I almost called 911. The mechanic that just got out of jail was fighting the other employees because they had allegedly stole things from his house while he was in jail.My truck is ALL scratched up. 3 more fights broke out while I waited for the oil change to be completed. I was then overcharged. I paid $85 for an oil change. I didn’t ask for or want synthetic oil. I was advised that they gave me 10% off. What a joke. I’m a professional woman that just moved to Texas from NYC. This was a normal day if commuting in Manhattan on the subway. For downtown Lewisville, this was a JOKE.Take your business elsewhere!!!
Kwik Kar of Flower Mound cost me $338.51. I had only been going to this location to get vehicle service since the car was brand new in 2016. Service had been satisfactory until 2 oil changes ago when a service technician failed to properly attach the splash guard. It came partially detached during my long commute and it ended up being dragged. I took it back to this location and asked the technician if I needed a new one, but he told me he had some screws and attached it good and that it was fine. I asked and received a free oil change for the experience. I got my free oil change two weeks ago and it seemed to go as normal with no one mentioning anything to me about a damaged splash guard. This week as I was getting gas I noticed something hanging low under my car and saw the damage shown in the pictures. I took it to a Honda dealer and they had to special order the replacement parts. Since this repair was the fault of Kwik Kar of Flower Mound I called them to see if I could get my expense reimbursed. I had to call back the following day to talk to the manager. The manager cheerfully told me that I had to take my car to them first and they would have fixed it for me for free and that information was clearly written in the fine print of their warranty statement. Kwik Kar of Flower Mound had two separate opportunities to tell me about their warranty and the fact that they damaged my splash guard, but they left me to discover it on my own. Needless to say, I wont be returning.
Went for an oil change and inspection. Inspection machine was broken (oh well, stuff happens). Decided to get the oil changed anyways and told him he didn’t have to check the cabin air filter as it had just been replaced. The same guy I told that to checked it anyways (way to value my time) and then had the nerve to try and tell me it needed to be replaced. I’m bummed. I used to trust this place.

Where do I begin. I dropped my car off on Thursday because it was stalling out, and the check engine light was on. Warning bells went off the moment I walked in, but I was worried my car wouldnt get me any further so I left it. Shortly after, I got a call saying the battery and alternator needed to be replaced which I expected, but also said the brake pads and calipers(sp?) needed to be replaced. Im thinking what do the brakes have to do with my car stalling and the check engine light but said okay. Friday I called at noon and was told my car was being worked on and would definitely be finished that day so I had Uber drop me off there after work.(this was 2:30) At 6:30 the guy said he couldnt finish it. He said hed had too many distractions. (WARNING bells again at the word distraction used in relation to working on parts of my car that are pretty darn important) He says bring it back first thing Saturday morning and theyd get the alternator installed, 30 to 45 minutes tops. Got there a little before 8, their posted opening time, and the person with the key to the building didnt show up until 8:30. After about an hour and a half, I hear the guy working on my car say a bolt had fallen off and he couldnt find it. At that moment, I dont think Ive ever regretted anything any more than I did bringing my car to this place. $2000 later (over $100 than I was quoted to walk out the door), I got in and the check engine light was still on. I thought maybe it just needed to reset but going home it stalled out at the light once again. They did brake repairs that had nothing to do with what I brought it in for and didnt fix the problem. Theres NO WAY Id take my car back to them (yes, I see the owners response about bringing cars back to make right. Why would we???) so now I have to pay someone else to do the work I wrongly trusted them to do. Lesson learned. I should have trusted my intuition and run far away from this place. Just hope my car doesnt have a worse problem now.
Absolute Nightmare!Hello Jennifer & Kwik Kar Management,I have been a Kwik Kar (Vista Ridge: Lewisville, Tx, Franchise owner Ray & Adam the manager are great ) customer for about 8 years now.My truck was towed from the 711 gas station 100 yards to Kwik Kar (1045 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound, TX 75028) on June 26th at 8:55am. It was July 11th 1pm and once again(for the fourth time) being told truck will be done(steering wheel column replacement) this afternoon by the temporary manager Jennifer.Communication has been a struggle from start to the hopeful finish. Attempting to call for a quote, then updates after being told my truck has not been worked on anytime I talked to someone not named Jennifer.When I called on Tuesday July 6th I was told the wrong part was ordered.I understand this location is under new management with Jennifer being over several locations (including an Austin location) but if I wish I could’ve been referred to any other Kwik Kar location not under new management and at least with a desk attendant at minimum to answer the phones since the voicemail box isn’t set up.It’ll be 4 weeks on Saturday since I dropped off my truck and STILL NO estimated date for completed work. I’m struggling on how to plan on paying for this as it’s a expensive transaction since I have no clue when it will be completed. Life happens, so I am having more big purchases coming up to plan for, house AC compressor going out, roof replacement deductible, and mower needing to be fixed.It’s also understandable that I drive an older 2004 F250 so parts can be tricky finding and ordering. But that’s never been an issue at the vista ridge location and if it is for Cross Timber’s then they should’ve said they don’t do major work on vehicles past a certain year.Transparency & communication again is clearly a miss when it comes to expensive work being done.8/18: Update Firestone on 407 (2451 Justin RdFlower Mound, TX 75028 ) did a great job completing (in less than 2 weeks) the truck on time no matter the 2004 age, communicated clearly, and for a reasonable price. Still haven’t heard from Kwik Kar.8/23: Update, I have emailed and called Adam K., waiting on possible resolution.

The quality of their service has deteriorated. I do oil changed my Honda Accord and it was done in 10 minutes. However, the oil life on the instrument panel did not change to 100% and remained the same at 15%, and the mileage record on the receipt was also recorded incorrectly. They didnt even change the service record sticker on the windshield. I really dont like the service today. I dont want to go back again Value for money service is really not good.
This location has a monster front desk staff. That Jennifer is a monster liar. Charged me for a car repair that wasnt repaired. Dont ever try to take your car to this location. They will make your life miserable.

Went for an inspection on July 15th 2021 after hearing there was a new owner. Was turned away after being told “our inspection machine is down, the state of Texas isn’t accepting inspections until 8 AM tomorrow morning”. Came back today, July 16th at about 1:30, and was rudely told “the inspection machine is down again”. Poorly placed business location and somehow even more poorly managed.
Ive been going here for a few years. Mostly for oil changes, but also various things, brakes, wheel alignment, filters, etc. They have always done a great job and at fast speed. They are my go-to repair shop!
Waited over an hour for a state inspection, which was only a problem because someone who came in after I did got their car inspected first. I even called ahead and they said there was no wait. This place obviously does not care about even basic customer service. The person who first talked to me didnt even ask for my keys or for tell me to leave them in the car. If I had known that the service was going to be this shoddy I would have gone somewhere else. Do not recommend and will make sure to tell everyone I know not to come here either. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Phenomenal service and attitudes. I let the guy know I needed my oil changed and air filter- I figured I needed a new air filter since I couldn’t remember the last time it was changed. After 10 min, he comes in and lets me know it’s still good, and can wait until the next oil change. These kinda places usually do the exact opposite! A few min late the manager walks in with my oil stick to show me the new oil and level. Blown away at this point, because those things have never happened before any other place. Their workplace culture of friendliness, and honest service was abundantly clear. It was my first time there, and will be my go-to spot from here on for all my truck needs.

Horrible experience. Oil change took 2.5 hours (first in line). My car has damage to system after this “kwik” oil change that will cost me quite a bit of money. Unhappy, disappointed, and severely concerned does not cover this experience.

Trust these guys with my foreign cars, they do great work and honest. They’ve done my brakes, batteries, and during Thanksgiving week they diagnosed engine coolant being low and topped it off for free. Good crew there!

Quality shop with quality mechanics. After a difficult experience at the dealership where they wouldnt warranty their own service after an oil change turned my engine light on, I brought my vehicle here and was taken care of to the highest level. Not only was it half what the dealer was going to charge us, but the manager at the shop made sure to ACTUALLY identify and diagnose the real root cause. The whole experience left us feeling reassured the issue was fixed and they would take care of us if there were any issues in the future. Hard to find a good shop you can trust in these times, but these people here seem to take pride in what they do.

Came to get my car inspected before driving to Houston- waited until last minute so I was having trouble finding someone who could fit me into their schedule. Pulled into Kwik Kar and they were immediately able to start the inspection (even with 3 people currently in lobby) and they were fast with it. I even had them do an oil change for me. Entire process was 15-20 minutes, which I spent in their lobby watching the weather channel. Prices are very reasonable. I live in the neighborhood so Ill start going there for all my car needs. I really appreciate it.
By far, the VERY BEST customer service I have ever had!!! One of my tires was leaking. I originally went to a National Tire and Battery location. I waited over 2 hours, they never even looked at my vehicle, and were absolutely horrible. I pulled into this Kwik Kar, was greeted immediately and they provided the best service. In the future, I won’t go anywhere else. Cannot recommend this location enough!

I came in yesterday afternoon for an oil change. They got me in and out quickly, but they claimed to have checked the air pressure in all my tires. I didnt drive anywhere other than down the street to my house after, and when I woke up this morning, one of my tires was flat! If they would have checked the air pressure like they said they did, probably could have avoided a flat, or been warned of an issue with the tire. Disappointed since this was my first time at Kwik Kar, and I came based on the overall positive reviews.

Had a check engine light and they checked it for free. Ended up just being a loose gas cap. Manager Ray was very professional with zero pressure to purchase anything that i didnt need. I have been to several auto shops in the past and have always felt pressured into things I was unsure of because of being a woman. He made everything simple and comfortable that this will now be the only place I do business with. I even went on a Saturday that they were super busy with cars everywhere and yet he still took the time to make sure I knew all the details and understood. I would like to personally thank him! If you are a single woman I highly recommend this location and ask for Ray, you wont be sorry.

Recently the manager talked with me and told.me they fired the technician that was unscrupulous. Good management.Previous incident: I took my car in to get an inspection. The guy spent 5 minutes with the car and came and got me and told me that the break pads are 20-30% life left and he would replace them for $200-300 along with the rotors. I told them maybe later and then took it to Honda about 1 month later for another issue that I wanted them to diagnose. They did a multipoint inspection and saw that the break life of the back breaks was at 60% and the front breaks were at 70%. The guy at Meinke tried to rip me off and I want everyone to be careful when they use this mechanic. Thank you.

Been going to this location for over 10yrs. They never let me down always take care of my car. Staff is very friendly and courteous.
We brought in our Jeep Liberty to have our AC looked at. It took two trips to find the leak and we were quoted 900.00 and were asked to bring the car in the following Saturday morning with the promise it would be done that weekend.We brought the car in, had the work done. Immediately after pick up two indicators lit up: the skid control sensor and ABS breaks. Turned around back to the shop, they told us that the mechanic must have tripped the sensors and that they would fix it at no charge. We were told it would be fixed the following weekend. We brought the car on Saturday first thing in the morning. They could not figure out what happened and told us to bring the car in the following weekend. In the meantime, the skid control was always on trying to stabilize the car on a straight road making it difficult to drive. I could not believe that they damaged the sensors and were taking so little responsibility for it.We brought the car in next weekend - as per the agreement expecting it to be done by Sunday. Sunday came and went, Monday came and went, Tuesday came and went as well. We spoke to the manager - Ray, who simply told us that his mechanic quit on Sunday and he had no one to look at the car. He promised it would be looked at and fixed on Wednesday.In the mean time I am still having to get to work without a car or a clear time line of when my car would be fixed.Wednesday came and he called to say that there was a sensor that needed to be replaced. He told us that it would be another 560.00 to fix it, but since they were at fault he would only make it 268.00.I called and spoke to Ray wanting to know how he figured we were going to pay because his mechanic damaged the car. The sensors were in perfect working order prior to bringing it to his shop. He proceeded to tell me that he no longer will give us a deal and wants a full price of 550.00 and to pick up the car. He admitted that it was his people who damaged the sensors, but he was not interested in making it right.To say he is belligerent, rude and arrogant is an understatement. If he treats his employees even close to the way he treated us it is no wonder that they up and quit in the middle of a job with no notice.If you are reading this and are still considering bringing your car to his location for any type of work - do yourself a favor and dont. Save yourself the headache, aggravation and money and go somewhere else. Get a mechanic who is honest, has integrity, will not gouge you for money and will stand behind his work.

Originally, I had a good experience. Really quick oil change and inspection. The manager came to me during my oil change and told me my car was overdue for a plethora of things. It was my first time there and I had just had a lot of those services only 3 months ago at the dealership. So, I was not overdue. When I questioned him he said he would go check his logs again. Then, as I was looking at the receipt for my oil change, they clocked my mileage 4000 less than it actually was when I came to the facility making my oil change due in only 1000 miles. Super super shady. Dont let them fool you or try to up sale you.
I am so glad I found this place. Levi the Assistant Manager was very kind, knowledgeable, and I felt that he knew exactly what to do to fix my car. Ben was pleasant and funny and very kind to take me to work and pick me up so I wasnt late picking my daughter up. I highly recommend them!

The professionalism I received on my trip to have my vehicle checked out was beyond measure. I went in to have an oil change and check my brakes. The Manager took the time and patiently explained what was wrong with the vehicle and what was needed to keep the vehicle street worthy and safe. I received an oil change, state inspection and brake replacement.
The Best oil change service I have ever received. The staff was polite and smiling, the service was quick, they went far and above my standards. Matt, Ben and Leah were all so helpful. Definitely coming back to this place every time.
