Did car audio comps my best DB was 151.8. worked at Best buy (install/sales) and Audio express and Im the president of a audio club...Now.. have you ever walked into a place and felt like they dont want youre money. ? Thats how I felt... Every thing I asked got shot downNo type a personality just monotone straight face very poor customer service...And what he didnt know was I talked to the store in south county and the said the complete opposite very helpful nice.. not toMention Im not a rookie at this.So in short he made it VERY CLEAR they DO NOT WANT MY BUSINESS... Wow is all i have to say. My girlfriend went in looking for window tint a couple months ago and was met by a taller white guy that was extremely helpful and professional. Well since we had such good service before we decided to try to get my mother a radio and was told they are booked for over a month had to drive an hour and a half just to be told this because they do not answer thee phone, then was told by cornellius he ignores the phone to assist cutomers in the store..... thats just bad for business also reeked of marijuana will not be coming back

I got my first tint job today. I was a little nervous because the customers in front of my seemed so knowledgeable about what tint they wanted on their car. I just wanted to stop getting burned by my seat when I got in the car. Robert helped me pick out the tint and was very nice. The store was packed, but he didn’t rush me. I would definitely do business with this location again in the future.

Stop in to ask questions about the sound quality of Ken wood amp and speakers. Lawrence addressed my concerns with patience and understanding . Lawrence came out to my car and listened to the sound and made adjustments to my amp and radio no charge . I appreciate Lawrence’s help and attention to detail.

My remote start had issues working properly. I went in without an appointment and Lawrence fixed it in 5 minutes. Great resolution!

I know there are many Custom Sounds in the St.Louis area, but the one on Lindbergh near New Florissant Rd, HANDS DOWN THE BEST. The service is above and beyond (ROBERT CAPE). And the Tech guy (LAWRENCE). Man the brother is the best installers in the STL. You two brothers are AWESOME...

I told Robert I need the tint to be done by 11:30, he said no that wouldn’t be possible which I understand and left it at that. Robert got the service done by 11:15, he went above on beyond. This is definitely where all my future tints and custom sound jobs will be done.

I had a remote start installed on my wifes Dodge Caravan. Great experience with prompt and courteous service. Will recommend them to any of my friends. It took over a week to get in but it is busy time for remote starts. Dropped of van and was called back with completion in about 2-1/2 hours. Very satisfied with results.

They always provide excellent customer service. They walk you through every single step of the process. They inform you thoroughly of your options. The procedure they use for coating (wires & cords) is different from everyone else and second to none. Financing is super easy, or you can use the lay-away option, or pay cash. They STAY having sales. The lifetime warranty on the products are always honored. A customer into after market car audio, alarm and tint couldn’t ask for a better place.

Set up an appointment for window tinting with a quick phone call, visited the next day and got great customer service. I was told the process would take and around an hour and a half but it felt like it was faster than that! Happy with the results and will be recommending to others.

I had my windows tinted. They did very good work, but they need help checking in out. Both were a slow progress.

My experience here was a complete nightmare but not because of the staff in general. More specifically, theyre short-staffed at this location. This is the main reason why my experience at this location was so tough. They kept my car for 3 days due to various issues with the install, when I did get my car back, the camera image was backwards, my satellite radio and steering wheel controls didnt work anymore. I had to bring my car back twice; they could only fix my camera. The steering wheel controls and satellite radio, were no longer available too me unless I purchased additional parts. 3 months later, my new install just ceased to work. It will no longer power on so I have to bring my car in again... but wait.... this location is too booked to fix the problem so I have to take it to a different location. Again, the staff was super nice and they tried to accommodate me in various ways... this location just needs more help.

I don’t usually right reviews but I was thoroughly impressed by the service and how knowledgeable the sales person Rob was. Had what I needed and explained why I needed it. Thumbs up. I’ll be sending all the Harley riders I know his way.

I wanted to shop around for new speakers to replace my busted one, and I wanted to have my windows tinted on my new car. I went custom sounds first and spoke with Mitchell and didnt have to go anywhere else. The deals were amazing, he was very knowledgeable about everything I was asking him about and their service was outstanding. My car sounds incredible now and my windows are perfect, I even have a warranty on both. This place is a one stop shop, I have already suggested a lot of my friends go there for their car needs.

I thought I would never modify a car I inherited from a relative, but I had a 12in JL audio subwoofer installed at Custom Sounds in Florissant. Robert was very kind. I had subs when I was college, and got a bit nostalgic! The sub sounds better than I could ever imagine. BASS sounds amazing and does not overpower cabin speakers. When I picked up my car another young guy seemed enthusiastic about the result of the days work and so was I when I played MacMillers Weekend song. It beat so hard!! We both got amped! Lady in a Cadi with sound! Thank you Robert and Team!

These guys are the best in the business. The manager is the best in the business. I tip my hat to these guys with two thumbs up! They are courteous,professional and A-1 in customer service. They tell you exactly what u needand its not extreme. The job is beautiful when they are finished. They put aremote start on the wifes car no problems. They put a Bluetooth radio in myp/u truck no problems. If you dont go to these guys, you might get stiffed!One more thing the manager will remember your name( a plus! ).

Absolutely terrible. I was there three days left my vehicle after being told it was fine with no drop box for the keys. I had to hide it in my vehicle just to make sure it would be serviced. Then I get a call saying they couldnt guarantee that my remote start would continue working down the line. Secondly failed to mention that he would need my second key and finally told me he didnt have the part needed to put my remote start on anyway. This is after I gave them a down payment. It took 3 visits to tell me it wouldnt be a good idea to have it installed. Major convenience after having someone follow me there to drop it off and get a ride to a from work the next day. Not to mention I had to get another ride there. Most unprofessional place and experience Ive had in my lifetime. The guy I deal with was a manager named Sam. Sorry doesnt help the inconvenience they caused when I could have been told all this from the first phone call just buy looking on the computer at my make and model.

Good place to get speakers installed but I bought my car stereo from Best Buy and had them install it but it did not get installed correctly. I could not get the Android Auto feature to work and I was told by the store manager that it works on certain phones, I have a LGG6, and to bring it in. Once I brought it in they could not find the issue why I couldnt connect to Android Auto and was given the run around. I ended up getting my car stereo getting looked at at another place and they found that the parking brake wire was cut and soldered to another wire when it should have been connected to the parking brake. That is the reason why I couldnt connect and they fixed it and I was able to connect with no problem. I will not be going back there again.

Robert is such an awesome person he helped me pick out an alarm for my 2015 honda civic price and install were on point and only took laurence about 2 hours to do fast and efficient exactly what i needed with my tight schedule will always reccomend these guys for any audio alarm and tint work

My husband was quoted $149 but when we dropped the car off they charged us $200. They refused to give an ETA of when it will be done. Gave us hella attitude when we called to see how far along they were in the process. Just very unprofessional and disrespectful. Im disappointed since the one in South County is of much higher quality and this one is just garbage.

I work in St Louis, but live 75 miles away. I called to ask about a window tinting appointment that would accommodate an 8-5 office schedule. They told me I needed to leave my car with them from 10am to potentially 7pm. I told them my office closes at 5pm and Id be without a ride so that wasnt going to work for me. Dead air. No we can try to work with you.So I guess these guys are sticking to this scuffed business model and leaving money on the table.

Took my 08 Yukon in to get my 10 Rockford fosgates and amp installed. It took them about two hours to get it done.My installer Nick is a beast. He tucked away my amp so well that he had to show me where it was at. My Yukon sounds great. This is the second vehicle I have had them install sound equipment in. I will definitely be back for an Android touch screen head unit to go with those 10s.

Great service. About three months after they installed my system it started to cut off at random. They fixed the problem, loose RCA cable, hassle free. I recommend this business and will use them again in the future.

Guys there were extremely nice and offered good info, but thats about the only thing good there. You have to wait too long to speak with anyone because not enough people to handle the customers. I came up there on a Saturday but it was too busy. I then made an appt Monday for first opening on a Wed morning. I stopped by that Tuesday afternoon only to find out the guy sold the last radio that was supposed to be installed in my car AFTER my appt had already been made earlier that day. Why he didnt put one aside knowing I had an appt the next morning is beyond me. Luckily I went up there the day before and found out. On the plus side, he did call another store and went to pick it up the next morning. But I wonder what wouldve happened if I hadnt been proactive. I dropped my car off right before they opened and was told it should take an hour or 2. After not hearing back over 7 HOURS LATER, I called them and was told it was done and ready. NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL ME!!!!Then after using the radio a bit and noticing something not quite right, I finally discovered that they connected the front and rear speakers backwards. At this point, I dont have confidence in bringing my vehicle back to them. Ill get that sorted out on my own. I shouldve just did the install myself but I was trying to save time I didnt have.

I recently had an experience with the maplewood location for tinted windows on my Nissan. I got EXACTLY what I asked for. Customer service=wonderful, product knowledge=top notch and satisfaction=you betcha. Robert did an AMAZING job explaining the products and giving me the best tint my money can buy. GO SEE ROBERT AND THE MAPLEWOOD CREW!!! I reside in florissant and will surely take the drive out there for such great service. Ill be back for other features for my car.

Got my windows tinted there few years ago and the work was great. Great service too my only concern was how long it took.

BEWARE!! If you have a problem after installation, they WILL NOT help you! Poor customer service! They will BS you and send you on your way. I brought in a unit for installation which included a backup camera. The camera was showing the image in reverse which is a serious safety issue. I took my car back to the store for help and the manager told me that because my unit was purchased from a manufacturer in China where they drive on the opposite side of the road is the reason why the camera showed backwards! They offered no assistance in trying to help me resolve the issue. Come to find out it was a simple setting that tells the camera to display in the proper way. I cant believe they would tell a customer something so ridiculous. After a couple of months the backup camera started coming on randomly. I took it back to have it checked and was told that I needed a new unit. I had concerns about their diagnosis and the manager refused to speak to me and sent a newly hired 4-day employee to deal with the issue. They totally disrespected me and were unwilling to give me a straight answer. I would NOT recommend having them service your vehicle if you expect good customer service if you have an issue.

I have been going to this location for over 15 years now and I would still recommend them. I recently took my baby (2006 Mustang GT) here for window tint and the staff was very patient and informative. When I initially came in for a quote, the service rep explained to me, in detail my options and what to expect with each choice they offered. When I dropped it off there was a discrepancy with the price but after explaining myself, the rep apologized and adjusted my bill. I also had issues with the product itself (tint) and the manager Mitchell was very accommodating and re serviced my vehicle with no hesitation or cost to me (due to me being informed by the staff what the parameters of my warranty entails). My relationship with this company has not always been perfect, but what I can tell you is that they offer quality merchandise, and in my experience, they will stand behind their products and services. I will continue to use this location.

Make sure you get a clear understanding of how long they need your car (ect). One guy last week told me Id be 1st and was the 1st to book for the following week, Friday. After arriving 40 minutes before they opened and then having ppl ushered in, in front of me I asked whats up. Gave my spill only to have the guy deny he ever said that. One youre calling me a liar. Two you called me a liar. Fortunately this brother stepped in and took $100 off my cost. So I gave them a chance. I need about 3 more days to see the final results. But the work looks ok at this point. I would recommend Custom Sounds due to their longevity and location. But strongly recommend you ask specific questions on what youre getting the TIME FRAME and their immediate availability of products!I had another car tinted at a different business in West County. It was a long drive BUT about $20-40 cheaper and EXACTLY the time I booked. So.....hope all this helps.

Just had a New Stereo System Placed in My 2006 Crossfire last Month !!!.....Every since then my car battery in my car is LOW !!!.....I managed to take the car to the Dealership they put a New Battery in.....Still the Car would not Start........then I began PRESSING AGAINST my Newly Replaced Stereo.......YES it moves ??...THEN MY CAR WOULD START !!!....I FIGURED AND THE DEALERSHIP FIGURED IT WAS THE NEW STEREO SYSTEM, TOOK THE CAR BACK TO CUSTOM SOUNDS EXPLAINED WHAT WAS HAPPENING, THEY SAID IT COULDNT BE THE STEREO SYSTEM!!!...I told them to take it out and put my factory stereo back in !!!....They changed it out and said....See your car will not start even with the factory stereo put back in !!...They told me, you need a new starter !!!....Really ???....You are diagnosing my car but can put a Stereo sysyem in that is anchored properly in a car ??......and not draining my battery !!....The guy there said he will have to wait for his BOSS !!....My Car is still there !!....Im going to pick it up tomorrow, give them back their radio, have my money refunded back to me and go to BEST BUY !!....GEEK SQUAD !!!.....DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS KIND OF DRAMA !!!!
