If I could give Zero stars I would because I am all about quality customer service which includes your level of respect and integrity. Yesterday, Mrs. Shelby my experience with you was not so pleasent. I was very tempted to personally call you and let you know how I felt about my experience, but I decided to do it the professional and respectful way. Many comments that you made towards me were very rude and made me uncomfortable. When i sat in her chair I stated to her I tried to cut my hair on my own and she expressed to me how crazy that was. Maam Ive been natural for 4 years and Ive ALWAYS CUT MY OWN HAIR. Out of those 4 years Ive been to the shop 3 times, your visit being the third. Whatever I choose to do with my hair is my business and on top of that Im not paying anybody to condemn me for the choices I make when it comes to MY hair. To make a long story short she continued to make rude comments and the entire time had a condescending and patronizing tone. My thing is despite your status/ reputation never get ahead of yourself and make your customers feel out of place. I can give a damn about quality or credentials if no respect for the customer is involved. And this is the reason why I dont go to shops, especially black ones. We talk about supporting black business but we lack respect and proper soft skills. Mrs. Shelby Im not sure what your issue was, but I hope that in the future you can put them aside and keep a certain level of professionalism. Remember first impressions are lasting. I will not ever be back to your establishment.

My wife and I came here, my haircut was awsome the atmosphere and service was great. However my wife experience with getting a sew in from the stylist there was horrible. She did not know what she was doing and charged a large amount, when we expressed how unsatisfied we were with it she did not want to refund our money and did not want to work with our schedule on fixing her hair. We needed her hair to be done for a event thats tonight and now we have to go with her hair messed up. Horrible experience I would not recommend people to get their hair done here unless you are getting a haircut. Lost money lost time and energy.

Do not go here. We decided to come here as a last minute decision on July 04th and were on the way out of the door upon hearing that the only person who could take us was a new guy. He came running out and asked us what cut we were looking for and we told him a simple bald fade. We went on to ask him if he did good work and he said he did so we decided to take a chanve with him. It took him over an hour to do the cut and it wasnt even right. All the while, he was clearly unsure of what to do and at one point had a more experienced barber step in and show him how to do it- which is fine because you have to learn somewhere. But as a business, especially a black owned business you should be a little more careful with who you are hiring. And when you hire someone who is new and still learning, you yourself Shelby or even one of the other barbers should not have recommended him to any customer without watching closely. We left because he was the last one working and the cut was not getting any better. The mustache is uneven, there are cuts all over his scalp. He offered a refund and a free cut but upon talking to the owner withdrew his offer. He expected us to let the owner fix it but honestly if youre hiring people who dont know how to cut, how good are you at cutting? Moral of the story: Have some integrity.
