In 4 years of traveling in my RV this is the most expensive and inexperienced service received for propane (3.65). I do not recommend this place.
Picking up the equipment was fine, upon return the manager and two other people were sitting in the office talking on the phone completely oblivious to any customers in the store. I had to get someone’s attention to return the truck, and they could not be bothered to come out of the office at all.
Kathy the manager, was extremely rude. I reserved a 20 ft truck online. I showed up to the uhaul center in flagstaff. She said she didnt have a truck for me. I tried to explain I had a reservation, she started screaming at me. Called me a mother!@#$%^ and every other bad name under the sun! So I simply lift. I will never do business with uhaul again. I cant believe they would employ someone like that!

I rented a auto transport trailer for my Subaru when moving from Flagstaff to Fort Collins, and had the staff “secure” my car to the auto transport. Upon arrival in Fort Collins I was told that I was lucky my car didn’t come off of the auto transport mid-trip. My advice ... beware and check their work.

A Guarantee from them in their confirmation email means nothing to their bottom line. We scheduled a 26 foot truck with a car trailer. It was confirmed in an email. The day we are to get it, they want me to pick it up 70 miles one way, out of my way, and then with more than 5 car trailers at their facility, wont rent it to me because I scheduled it for a one way rental. Not good business. Just saying.
My husband and I are moving out of state and have rented a U-Haul AND trailer with totaled around $1800. We have had a call 2 days prior to our move out date stating that we have to pick up the Uhaul truck from SEDONA....THEN...pick up the trailer from WILLIAMS! What sort of customer service is this? We live in flagstaff at the moment and as you can imagine this is a very stressful time for us right now. This is the last thing we would expect from Uhaul. The plan was to pick up the Uhaul from Flagstaff. This is HORRENDOUS customer service and what a way to add even more stress. Thanks Uhaul.
Super understaffed. All that we needed to do was check out of a storage unit. We have waited in line for nearly 45 minutes with 4 customers behind us and multiple customers on the phone being un-helped.
If you have only the simplest question dont bother to call them unless youre prepared to wait and wait and wait and wait. They really dont want to talk to you and customer service is not in their game plan.
Arizona is a global covid hotspot & the employees can’t be bothered to wear masks or ask guests to cover their noses, which is required of businesses per the Flagstaff mask mandate. We’re in a pandemic, guys. Do better.
Confirmed truck reservation night before, called to confirm truck reservation day of, was told truck was ready, prepaid for the truck after receiving confirmation, drove 2 hours to pick up truck and was told there were “no trucks available”. Management was completely incompetent and rude, would not cancel my order in person and directed me to call customer service. Waited on hold for 30 minutes for customer service to be told how unfortunate” my situation was and that the closest truck would be over an hour away. Truly 1 of 5 stars.
We needed to transport our jeep grand Cherokee to Phx. This was a great solution if your comfotable with driving a giant truck and trailer.The staff was great, attentive, masked when needed and very considerate in regards to covid. They take extra precautions wiping down the vehicles.Bravo!!!
After reading the reviews I was leary going in but had no choice as no other locations do the hitch installation. I was proved wrong! Great service and a job well done. It ended up being much less than I was quoted. Thanks so much guys!!!
Come on guys. One of your staff isn’t wearing a mask and there isn’t anyone stopping people from entering without a mask. What the hell are we all doing if one person walks in here with covid not wearing a mask?

This place is an organizational mess. I empathize with the employees who not only seem frustrated, but express their frustration to the customers. I stood in line for about five minutes and witnessed two very dis-satisfied customers and I can tell you that nothing was being done to de-escalate. Prior to going into the location, I tried calling and was forwarded to a central U-Haul location somewhere after a fifteen minute hold each time. I was scheduled for a hitch install on a weekend only to learn when I arrived that installs arent done on weekends. I guess when you are the only game in town....
Had a trailer reserved 2 days ahead of time. Showed up, they were a little busy, but no worries. Jacob set everything up for me, hooked up the trailer and we verified all the lights were working correctly. He wished us safe travels and we were in our way. Have used U-Haul trailers several times and never had an issue and will continue whenever I need a trailer.
This is not the only uhaul in town but the one with the most selection for uhaul vehicles. Ive used their services on more than one occasion and, unfortunately, the customer service continues to get worse. Last time we rented a vehicle from them it took them far past our reservation time to get our rental to us. The weather was poor so I assumed it was a fluke. However, on our next visit, it was even worse. We arrived a few minutes early and the door was open so we went inside. We were told to go back outside because they werent open. The manager said this in a way that, were I not moving that morning, I wouldve taken my business elsewhere. When we were told we could come back in, the manager continued to complain about issues they were having with their system. I tried to remain polite and by the end her approach was more professional. We rented our equipment and went on our way. When we returned the vehicle that afternoon I followed the return instructions to wait with the vehicle until someone came out to assist us. After waiting twenty minutes and watching two other customers arrive and get serviced before me, I decided to just do the digital checkout. I suppose I should also mention while waiting I saw the same manager from that morning walk out, look my way and keep going without seeing if I needed assistance. I get that everyone has a bad day so Im willing to give two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, I doubt my experience will make much of a difference but I figured Id post it and see whether this location is interested in using the feedback to improve or not.

The equipment was fine, had what I needed. Went to pick up trailer, Jacob Marcel is super rude. Finally get paperwork taken care of, go to leave, not a thank you, not even an acknowledgement, just go follow this guy. Not sure how employees are allowed to be rude to each other, the customers, not a professional place at all. Lower your expectations when you go to this place :-(

Great price on install of a receiver hitch for Toyota Highlander. Quality work with warranty. Previously, when I rented a trailer, they went above and beyond to help me replace blown fuses.
Like many people, if I could give a zero I would. Showed up and reservation was cancelled. Many customers were in the same boat, and the wait was very long, as everyone was having problems. The staff tried their best to make the situation workable. Ended up having to rent a truck for couple hours. Brought the truck back after using it for about 12 miles, young guy inspects it, no problem, or so we thought.No word from U-Haul, except for they charged for damage that was done by running the truck in to my house they claimed. I told them the truck was inspected upon return with no issues, as there were none to report. I even invited them to come to my house to see that there was no damage. They dont return calls or emails.Went to U-Haul in Phoenix to complain, and all they said was file a claim. Apparently, receiving horrible reviews for that location is nothing new for U-Haul since they couldnt seem bothered by it.I wish I could go back and not use this place at all. If there were negative stars I would give as many as I could.
I was charged double for labor, a receiver and a RV wiring which I did not request. I recommend that you Check your receipts and have them go over what they charged you for. Not a friendly atmosphere.
Deceitful company! They now charge after hours drop offs and did not mention this when I got the trailer. The contract is now emailed (which the format is not compatible with my computer) and paper form is no longer given at pickup so I was not able to read their new contract. Shady business
I was driving to the location and my friend was on the phone talking to a representative that said a 15’ vehicle was ready to pickup now/today, but to make the reservation he needed a credit card. Since we were on the way and it was a trouble to give CC information while driving we said we’d be there in 5 minutes.When we arrived we were told “no walk-ins” and that we could not have the available vehicle without a reservation. So I called back while waiting in the lobby and made a reservation then got the on-site vehicle. It’s ridiculous that I could not be helped onsite and that I had to backdoor (via phone) my way to rent a vehicle. That is terrible customer service.If I were told no on the phone, I would completely understand, but for a manager to tell their employees that no one can walk-in and rent, but the same person can still call and reserve is not a great way to help people. Customers shouldn’t have to circumvent or work around local store authority. They should match exactly. If a store doesn’t have enough resources available, then a customer shouldn’t be able to rent over the phone or be told something is available. Communication between local and regional/national service should be better to avoid these types of scenarios.
I cannot say enough great things about this U-Haul location. Everyone weve dealt with has gone above and beyond our expectations (whether it was returning equipment or storage unit rentals). Huge thanks to everyone who helped us as we relocated to Flagstaff! Jason, Drew, Brian, Kylie, and Nate.

I just needed a propane tank filled. I called them in advance and they assured me that they filled tanks. What they should have said was they fill tanks when they have absolutely nothing better to do.I waited quite a while.
Ask for Kathleen, the manager. She will bend over backwards for you. I have pushed her to the limits with requests so, if you have a problem with her, it is probably your fault. She huggers intelligent staff. The storage units are well kept, bathrooms usually clean and overall very easy experience getting quotes, storing, adding additional storage, linking storages for discount and renting trucks. Keep it up team! Since they are attached to a faceless, corporate entity, they are prone to a lot of mis-haps, cancellations, overcharging and what not. Keep your cool and seek to rectify peacefully and they will accommodate you fine. This particular Uhaul is very busy, and many of the customers with problems have been irate. Talk about making a bad situation worse. Be patient.
Due to total unprofessionalism, U-Haul installed the wrong receiver hitch on my truck. When I took it back and pointed it out that the recivere didnt fit, their mechanic acknowledged the problem and said that U-haul would make it right. 2 months later, I have spent hours trying to get the right hitch, now I am returning the whole thing for a refund. The manager in Flagstaff never once offered to try to rectify the situation. Never once asked how can we make it right? DONT GO TO UHAUL FLAGSTAFF
Bad day for customers . Youre blacklined translation the equipment you reserved on line in not on site . Turns computer all these are black lined. 20 or so customers out of luck. I can not help you. Sorry.Apparently the only person that can do anything left for lunch. So i ask when he would return. I dont know not sure if he will he should not have left. He is the assistant manager. Was the reply I received. I have determined that U-Haul sucks at there job.

I went there to get my propane tank filled. The kid that worked there only filled it 1/4 of the way. After I told him how to do his job he filled it to 3/4. I asked him to get his manager. The manager filled my tank all the way but did not get the bleeder screw tight. The smell of propane filled my trunk and car. Im glad I made it home without an explosion!
This is just the phone call that got this review.Lady answered, not giving me a name, but went right to, thank you for calling uhaul, can I have your phone number please? I asked her why, as I was only inquiring about price of a unit. She went silent for a bit. When she came back, she gave me the price of 5X10, smallest available, for $90!!$89.95, what credit card may I reserve this on please? I never told her I wanted it!She also was speaking so fast, took several times for her to repeat!After reading the other bad reviews in my area, and the experience with just a call, NO, Uhaul for me!
I use uhaul about once a month for my business and this was the last straw. I wish flagstaff had other choices for trailer rentals. I hate having to go there! Got there about 450pm on sun. as hours online said they close at 5pm. The door was locked! employee yelled through the door and said It was a slow day, sorry. What? Id be pissed if my employees closed early if it wasnt an emergency. It made for a long night at work for me and my staff in the rain because they didnt want to rent a trailer and decided to close early.

Checked in online but still called to make sure my trailer would be ready as I was in a time crunch. Staff member confirmed over the phone, he was polite and professional.Upon arriving the, the owner helped me hook up the trailer immediately. He was friendly and personable. I had rented uhaul car trailers multiple times but I still accepted his offer to show me the “features” of the trailer. I’d be damned, I learned a few new things that made my life easier loading and unloading my 72 Camaro onto the trailer.When I pulled into the lot to return the trailer, a staff member was speed walking towards me. I thought she was on some other task. As soon as I stopped the truck and put it in park, she had the trailer off working minutes, radiod the office that I had returned the trailer, and had me on my way without having to even go in. I was impressed. These people appear to value punctual service which is great because who wants to spend unnecessary amounts of time at a uhaul place trying to get on their way.
Been here several times and always had great service...no complaints whatsoever. Special thanks to Brittany (sorry if thats spelt wrong) who was extra specially helpful when I picked up a truck and tow dolly last week.
We had a horrible experience here. we had rented a u-haul in Phoenix and when we got to Flagstaff we noticed the tire was shredding. we were on our way to Colorado and were nervous the tire would not withstand the trip. they said it would be a liability for them to change the tire, and also said we could not change it. they told us to call roadside service but it would take over an hour and a half to gèt there. they said we could chance it and drive it so we are...I guess theres no liability for them if the tire blows and causes injury!!Dont go here if you care about safety and good customer service or peace of mind. Hillbilly U-Haul!!
The U-Haul and price were fine. The customer service was terrible. Mark has an attitude problem. If he were my employee, hed be fired on the spot. His coworker had to finish checking me out because she saw how condescending he was being. Mark is a mess!

I gave 1 star but they dont deserve any. I arrived in a school bus to get filled with propane. I walked inside and was greeted immediately but once I told them that I was there for propane this young lady said I cant fill in this type of weather. I said ok, I will wait and walked outside to the bus. After about 20 minutes another representative walked by and I asked him what were the guidelines as far filling propane in Arizona because I am certified in Georgia. I went on to say that it was not raining, it had already rained and the roads were clear. The only water I see is from there ragedy driveway with potholes and standing water. The gentlemen then said that his propane machine was broken and that he needed it to move around the boxes on his forklift that runs off of propane. I told him that the lady never said it wasnt working and that she knows I am out here waiting to get filled. He didnt say anything and walked to the office. I immediately called customer service because something didnt sound right. First rep said she was transferring me to customer service manager and I held online for over 20 minutes until I grew tired and hung up. While Im on hold for 20 minutes, the same guy and the lady(assistant supervisor Alyssa I was told later on) have been walking back and forth and not one of them has yet to say that the machine was broke so I assumed they are lying and dont want to fill me. Mind you my company has a corporate act with uhaul and they all are well aware of the buses coming thru. I even called before I came and got customer service call center which stated that they had propane and it was operable per the system. Moving forward. After I hung up on the first call. I called again and got another representative in the call center and I had to tell her my story all over again. She then transfers me to a supervisor in corporate to make complaint. Within a few minutes Chris was on the phone to take the complaint. As I tell my story to mr chris these same 2 personnel are still walking by and not saying anything. Alyssa eventually hears me on the phone with Chris and begins to walk over and I state to chris that now she is coming over after an hour of me being here and Alyssa turns around and walks away with an attitude. Mr chris said oh good lets see if we can get to the bottom of this since she is there but I had to tell him that she walked away and never came back. Mr chris takes my complaint and tells me that there behavior is unacceptable and that corporate would contact me within 72 hours. He kept apologizing and stating that that is not how uhaul operates. It is now 1 hour and 45 minutes later, the sun is out and still no one has come to pump the propane. Wait let me back up again. The gentlemen that told me the propane machine was inoperable and that he needed it to use the forklift was wrong bc Alyssa told mr chris that it works and that they will fill me as soon as the weather permits. I even saw this same gentleman use his propane operated forklift in this so called bad weather. GO FIGURE! Yet I am still sitting here and its goin on 2 hours. Pictures, videos and I recorded conversations on the phone.Edit..After waiting for about 2.5 hours Alyssa finally sent the same young man out whom originally said it wasnt working to fill my tank. Same weather, no problems filling it, machine was operable! I gave them him my Corp # so my propane could be charged and was on my way. Ms Alyssa never approached me again to say and the only contact I had with her was when I originally notified them that I was there to get propane. She is unprofessional and should not be in management position. I know Alyssa doesnt know me but I am actually a good person, never confrontational (I let my fingers do the walking). I just simply needed my tank filled. I was not in a rush and on 1/4 of tank. I would never make it to my next stop of 149 miles through the Arizona mountains, that is the only reason I stayed.

These guys waited until the day before my move to let me know that the truck I had reserved over a week in advance wouldnt actually be available when I needed it. If you want reliability, go anywhere else.
They were completely out of moving blankets even though we reserved them which caused a big delay in our move. Completely unprofessional and gave terrible service. Avoid this location if you can.
Poor service I was told to sit by the tank and someone would be there to help. 30 minutes later I went into the shop. He said he would call someone to help me. I got angry and left. Boohoo its terrible to be a customer.
Jason Mooney is an awesome and unbelievable hard worker, even though I see him constantly dealing with the most difficult customers in the nicest ways imaginable.Promote him to conflict de-negotiator for your anti-terrorism department or give him a bonus or something because he certainly deserves it.The rest of the team as usual just seems uneducated in the way uhaul works. Because every year they have to be rehired and retrained. Because every year they either quit or are fired. I hope things improve for all of them, because Jason works hard and deserves like 10 raises.The uhaul phone service and traffic control employees were incredibly rude, as usual. However, this location goes above and beyond the expectations of uhaul and of me, even though no one ever notices.Thank you.

U-box access scheduling is very disorganized. On two separate occasions I have scheduled a time to access my u-box at least 24 hours in advance and the boxes were not accessible and no fork lift opperator was available to retrieve my unit when I arrived.
