Ordered a Gas Range from AJ Madison so I did not have a choice of freight companies. 2 days after the order, I called YRC to try to change the delivery address from 30 minutes outside Flagstaff to a hard to get to address to my business warehouse which was 3 miles from their terminal . They told me it would cost $198 to change the delivery address despite the fact that it would have saved them a considerable amount of time. I opted to pick it up at their terminal. The tracking showed delivery for Mon. 12/7. That turned into Tuesday. On Tuesday, track showed Wed. I called and they said it was going to arrive in Flagstaff at 10:30pm and that I could pick it up Wed. On Wed. tracking showed it was bumped to Thursday. I called twice and got no explanation because they could not get ahold of anyone. Today, I saw it had arrived in Flagstaff so I called the terminal to pick it up. Bill (who is in Phoenix) said I could pick it up between 6-8am of I would have to wait for a driver to return. This was confusing and I asked how would I know when they return? He was rude and said thats just how it works. I dont know who you were taking to but, it has been that way for over 15 years So, what do you want to do? Do you want to show up tomorrow between 6-8am? I told him I wanted to get it today. He said he would call a driver so I could meet them there at the end to the day.I guess folks like Bill and others at YRC dont deal with the public much and based on my experience and many other reviews. This is the culture of the company. REALLY BAD COMPANY. No accurate tracking, no explanations, no follow-up and no customer service.I
I will not use them again, my package was delayed by 6 days, this is a joke !!!!
Beyond terrible service. My fridge was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday and when I called that evening why it didn’t show up they said they got too busy and would deliver it sometime next week. I don’t know in what universe that is an acceptable answer but they need to do better than that.I said that’s unacceptable and asked when i could pick it up direct at their warehouse. Ryan said I could pick it up Friday morning so I went there after scheduling and calling twice that morning to make sure that someone would be there at 730am and then waited till 8 for someone to show up. If you are looking to ship or pickup from these guys....good luck!!
Called to get a delivery window of a shipment located at this terminal. Lady who answered was short and very unprofessional. She hastily threw my call back to corporate customer service without giving me a chance to say they gave me her number to call. Hopefully my stuff arrives on time and undamaged.. Wont use YRC again.
To begin. The shipment arrived unannounced to anyone at our company. We understand that YRC was instructed to call before delivery but they failed to do so. We had all our equipment out in the field and nothing to unload the freight with at that time. The driver said fine, we will redeliver in 2 weeks. Even though we were upset, he agreed he would get us the tracking number and call 24 hours before he would come back to deliver. After speaking to his boss the driver informed us he could not leave without delivering today per his boss. This was unacceptable and we refused. The driver went to a neighboring business and convinced them to unload the freight in their yard! We had no way of getting it back to our building. We had to pull a tractor off another location and bring it down to move the freight to our yard. Mind you it was raining, the tractor trailer was in the shop for tires and it was after 3pm by now. Our employee had to rush the tire shop, go pick the tractor up and then go back to the shop to move the freight we paid to have in our yard!!! This move is not professional, cost our company additional time and expense, and our employee had to stay late and work in the rain for no reason other than YRC’s terrible service. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. So Elaine the boss called. She too needs a lesson in customer service. She actually backed her driver and offered no refund or compensation. She even got argumentative with me and teied to blame the intermediate shipper.Yrc has now screwed up 3 deliveries in a row. Our company will pay double to use anyone but them.
I ordered solid surface counter top materials, and the seller used YRC for shipping. The product arrived on time, and the freight company called me the same day to inform me it was in. I was not able to pick it up for a week, and they stored it for me for no charge. When I showed up to pick it up, they were busy loading another truck, but were very polite when telling me it would take a few minutes. As soon as they finished the load out on the other truck, they loaded my order on my trailer. Again, very helpful and polite. No problems whatsoever.
Tracking said I my crate would show up Tuesday. Its Thursday and I still cant pick it up until at least Friday. Do not expect your shipments on time or plan around them whatsoever. It will not show up when expected.
HORRIBLE customer service!!! If I could give it a 0 I would. Delivery tracking shows item was to be delivered on TUESDAY. No call, no communication. WE called THEM and they told us, Oh, well get it out to you tomorrow morning. Its now Wednesday afternoon, still NO call. We call them AGAIN and the item STILL is not on the truck for delivery. This place is a JOKE!!! Do NOT use them!!!
4th LTL shipment in a row - all arrived a week or more after the estimated delivery date. When I complained that once again it was extremely late the sale rep who had been trying to solicit our company to use YRC as our dedicated freight company - he suggested we pay more for a dedicated truck to get it faster. It had been sitting just 90 miles away for 10 days, was 7 days past its estimated delivery date and each day delayed again. My 1 star is not just because for the 4th shipment it sat and was extremely delayed but the reply I received from the very person soliciting our company for more work from us.
1 star because there is not a no star choice! worst company i have ever shipped with, I will never run shipments with them again and i hope you dont make the decision to use them, they are all fakes. Now all of a sudden they cant track down or find my 5000 Dollar motor!!!!!!
Always late and little to no method of human contact.
