Great service and prices and quick turnaround... They do have to get rid of their stop sign looking business sign out front... It continues to confuse our cars systems... Both in a Toyota and a Tesla it always wants to stop at their business sign.

These guys are great. I noticed oil leaking in my car the day before I was supposed to move from Vegas to Nashville, the place I took it to in Vegas delayed my leave and only replaced the valve cover gasket. 5 hours into my drive we stop in Flagstaff for the night, noticing that my car is covered in oil and my engine has zero oil. Brake masters were able to look at my car next day, compared to weeks at other places, and found that there was a chain that had been lose and slapping against the valve cover itself, and they were very kind to show me exactly what was wrong in person. They repaired my vehicle, allowed a couple weeks for me to fly out from Nashville and pick it up. The car ran like a champ for the rest of the 20 hour Journey. Jonathan and Juan were great. This place is where everyone should go. Great costumer service and doesnt cost you an arm and a leg. Was doing a cross country trip when a house on my per steering pump started leaking. They had it done and back to me in a few hours and was able to get back on the road.

Wonderful Service! I went in for an oil change and they fixed my wind shelf wiper and splash guard for free and without asking.

I was able to get in very quickly for an appointment to check my brakes. Juan was very kind and thorough. There ended up being nothing wrong, but Juan reminded me its better to be safe than sorry and didnt charge for the appointment. It was my first time going to Brake Masters, but Ill definitely go back in the future!

I had been to Been to Brake Masters before for different services but like many of the other auto shops I felt like either I wasnt treated as a valued customer or like some of the other shops that use scare tactics. But in my opinion ever since the New Manager Juan came in I feel like this location reeled it back in. Juan, took the time to make the recommendations and did not pressure me to make a decision. After I called around and asked for pricing for the job that I needed I went back to Brake Masters due to Juan which again I felt showed the most understanding and genuine compassion for my situation. I basically needed an engine replacement and I could not believe how quickly these guys got it done and had me up and running and still running 💪🏻. These guys are where its at!!!

I have been a Brake Masters Flagstaff customer since I moved to Flag 7 years ago. I am happy to say, whether it is an oil & lube, brake job or extensive repair to power steering and air conditioner systems, the job was always done well at a very fair price. The mechanics are talented, professional, offer intensive timely work and inform you of exactly what has been done and what you might need done in the future.

Excellent service. Never tried another shop for oil change or brakes. Have been doing full synthetic oil change for 3 years. They stick to the schedule and return your vehicle within 1 hour if you have booked appointment with them.

Juan is the man. He was very friendly and honest!I went to Big O Tires right before, they told me I need all new brakes and quoted me $640. I then went to Brake Masters and Juan said my breaks were in great condition and I could easily wait. This led me to go to a third shop because I wasn’t sure who to believe. The third shop confirmed exactly what Juan said. Thank you Juan for being honest and upfront!!

Although I reside in Sacramento, CA, my running career allows me to train and live part time in Flagstaff. As a retiree who travels the states a lot, it’s always a challenge to find a good quality auto repair shop for services when I need them.My front brakes started to grind so I made an appointment with Flagstaff Brake Masters and they went out of their way to meet my needs and get me back on the road as quickly as possible.I was very happy with not only the work I had done but also the way in which the entire process was handled. Juan always takes care of mine and my fiances vehicles. I have sent a few friends to the shop and always takes care of them as well. Sometimes there is a wait but its a small shop with great service and pricing so worth it and you can always drop it off and they will call you when its ready to pick up.

You have to press NO to a credit card application in order to pay for basic services. Careful at checkout. Rude on review.

HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED‼️‼️I had my Vehicle serviced here at Brake Masters for Front hub Assembly both right and left side, brakes, And both inner tire rod ends and a front alignment.I paid $$1,676 to get my truck fixed. And not even the Third day of my truck being driven off their property with me simply reversing my truck out of my drive way the same exact thing I took my truck in to get serviced for happened again. THANK GOD I was not driving on the main road and it happened when I reversed from home. I had to pay for a tow truck after the manager said he would refund me the money for my vehicle being towed to brake masters which he did not . BRAKE MASTERS FAILED to let me know my vehicle needed to have the ball joints replaced and expected me to pay them another $900 to have it fixed again . EVEN AFTER THEY TEST DRIVED MY VEHICLE AND SAID IT WAS OK EVEN AFTER HAVING A ALIGNMENT DONE ON MY VEHICLE THEY FAILED TO LET ME KNOW THE BALL JOINTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR BIG SERVICES!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM !!!!

Awesome experience. Went in without an appointment to have a rubbing sound in my brakes checked out. Juan and Joel assured me they would work me in. They did within about 45 minutes, put car on lift, inspected brakes and bearings. No mechanical problems found. Told me possibly a rock caught up in brake and making noise. Were honest enough to say my brakes all checked out good. No charge. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend them for your vehicle repairs. I will return to them for future work. I just had to come back and actually say how much I love this place. When I brought my car in I expected a 250 dollar fix which I said to Joel Id be willing to pay. I was quoted that by another shop in town so I was ready to pay that. I got a call back 30 minutes later and they fixed the problem for 60 bucks. Brake Masters had a full fledged opportunity to take advantage of a situation and didnt. AFFORDABLE, QUICK, HONEST and FRIENDLY. Also, Joels responses to some of these reviews are hilarious. This was my first visit to Brake Masters, in Flagstaff or elsewhere. I just needed an oil change for my Prius. The walk-in service (no appointment) was faster than expected and seems to have been just fine, but the real reason for my five-star review is that they didnt try to sell me on any additional service or repair I didnt need. I dont think thats ever happened before. While I welcome knowing about anything that might need attention, Ive had lots of places try to get me to spend hundreds of dollars on maintenance I know I didnt need (because it was done elsewhere). Ill go back here for service.

I brought my 2006 Volkswagen Passat in to Brake Masters after being told by my dealership that I needed new brakes DESPERATELY, only to find out that my brakes are still good for 40,000 miles! With the work that I actually needed done on my car, one of the technicians physically brought me to the back and showed me exactly what they would or could be fixing so that I could see it for myself. He brought up part prices and told me labor costs up front. There was never a pressure to get unneeded repairs and he was very translucent and honest about time, costs, and severity of each repair. As a college student, this is a welcoming relief because it seems as though every other mechanic is trying to find some new way to get you to spend money on things you dont need. I highly recommend Brake Masters for their honesty, informative technicians and theyre willingness to double check and give second opinions.

I’ve lived in Flagstaff for almost a year. So when I moved to Flagstaff for the first time I was worried about who to trust on my car. However, Brake Masters makes me feel like home. After going to another shop in town and being told that my rear brakes needed to be replaced, these guys did a free inspection and told me that my brakes didnt need to be repaired. I should have written this review long ago. I have taken my car to Brake Masters for a lot of things over the past 8ish years. They have done small jobs and also jobs that require a total dis- and re- assembly of my engine. I like them because they always allow (and even encourage) me to come back and see what the problem is with my car, and offer a thorough explanation. Their prices are fair and transparent, and they work quickly. Somewhat recently, they had done some front end work for me. One of the parts they used failed. I didnt notice the problem quickly enough and other parts of the car (outside of just their work) were negatively effected. Even though they could have argued with me about whether or not I brought the car back quickly enough after noticing the issue, they chose to just fix the work for free because it was initially the failed part that had caused it. I thought that showed a lot of respect for me as a repeat customer and also illustrated ownership and accountability for their work. Owner and manager are always friendly and helpful. They will continue to get my business.

I stopped here in an emergency situation. My rear brakes were making serious noise due to lack of adjustment. While the vehicle was up, the service tech Jeremy noticed another severe issue in STEERING that i asked him to correct. I am very satisfied with the honest service i received within 1 HOUR OF CLOSING. The price was reasonable and i am very satisfied. Thank you

Wonderful service! I was visiting Flagstaff when my front wheel started screeching something awful. Juan, the manager, got our car in right away and found the problem: a little rock was stuck in a rotor. They got the rock out and sent us on our way, free of charge! Live in north Scottsdale and have a house in Flagstaff, which is always more convienent than Scottsdale.Went in for oil change and rear brake inspection, since last service said 5mm left. Now at 3mm.Joel didnt push to replace and said some wait until gone. I know 3mm is almost end of life, but impressed Joel didnt push as a safety issue, but I had them replace them. Good price and honest shop.

Juan was very knowledgeable with diagnosing car problems. He and the mechanic were quick and detailed in finding a noise I heard when braking. They found my brake plate popped out and was cutting into the rotor. In just twenty minutes they had a new rotor delivered and it took maybe ten minutes to install and put the tires back on. Both men took the car for a drive to ensure that the noise was gone- and it was. Highly suggest this location.

They did not replace my oil filter correctly so that it leaked after my oil change. They also told me I needed to replace my radiator fluid immediately...though I hadnt mentioned to them that I had only recently flushed it. I took my truck to R & A soon after and they confirmed my radiator fluid was fine.These fellows seem to be more interested in a buck than doing quality work or being honest with their customers.

I initially spoke to Joel who looked everything up for me on the phone and gave me an exact price for my oil change which was great. I’ve never had a better experience with car service. I went to another place before (a chain, and not locally owned, so my first mistake) and they quoted me at $500 to fix my brakes without even giving me new brake pads. I took my car in to Master Brakes, and Juan really helped me out. He was so friendly, and honest. My brakes were in great condition, and only needed to be cleaned. As a girl, it often feels like mechanics try and take advantage of me. I don’t think I trust any place but Master Brakes to treat me with respect and not try and screw me out of an unnecessary amount of money. They also offer a student discount, which I really appreciated. Overall, GO TO MASTER BRAKES.

I started getting my oil changed here when I first moved to the area. There are no Infiniti dealers up here and I have always been dealer maintenance loyal. Joel is wonderful, thank you for your professionalism.Haters, please, would you look for the cheapest way out in a doctor visit and your health maintenance while still feeling confident?Your car requires the same attention and respect; your vehicle relies on you to insure you can rely on it.

My personal experience was not great. Took the car into the shop and found that they didnt tighten the oil filter cap on all the way and ended up having oil leak everywhere. They may have changed employees but me personally I wont be returning. I recently posted this review because I was only messaged by Google maps to leave a review even though I last was there two years ago as a disclaimer.

My Idler pulley fragged on the way to Flagstaff, but I couldnt stop, I had to make my appointment. After my Mercedes cooled down, I tried driving it for a few miles and it went Super Nova instantly. I Googled best inexpensive auto repair Flagstaff and found Brake Masters. Once there, they immediately started repairing it. It was So Hot they wouldnt even start it up and worked on it right in the driveway where I stopped. I was impressed that they had all the Mercedes appropriate parts on hand. They didnt try to upsell me even though they knew my situation and I was from the valley.After that I was glad I chose them and even added some more repairs to the list. They finished quickly and gave me some advice on what to look out for, shook my hand and I was back on the road. These guys are All Pro, fair to low priced and easy to work with. I was on my way home from California in a used RV I had purchased it was late and I felt something different in the vehicle so we stayed in Flagstaff. The next morning we went to Brakemaster and they checked it out for me . After two of their mechanics checked it out they found nothing. I asked how much for the service and the Gentleman behind the counter said “ no charge”. That is good business. Thank you Brakemasters. We made it home fine with no concerns of a problem.

Best price in town for oil change. Fluids topped off. Something i see less and less often at these quick places. Tires rotated. All for one low price for just a bit longer than your your in and out places.

I cannot believe this place!!! I cant even give them a star! I just had a friend in Flagstaff get talked into a needed timing belt. Timing belt was replaced and the first time she drives her car it overheats and the head twists up and now back in the shop for a new head! AND THEY ARE CHARGING HER!!! BEWARE dont use them unless you like throwing money away! Super angry even as an innocent bystander.I also had my brakes fixed there ONCE! Got a quote of $189, came back to a $440 dollar bill and a broken ABS sensor, which they wanted to charge me for, I dont think so. I would not even pull my vehicle out of their shop until they fixed it (and for free). They are the antithesis of mechanical professionalism!

I have been using Brake Masters for years, in the valley they have serviced every vehicle my family owns, they are such good people. Efficient and quality work is the reason I use them. Sadly the 2 to 3 times Ive used this location in Flagstaff it has been unpleasant and a waste of time. For each visit the staff comes off as very pretentious and have qualities of sleazy salesmen. We all have to make a living but trying to make a quick dollar on a younger guy is just pathetic. I will no longer go to Brake Masters in Flagstaff and urge you to think twice.

Words can barely express how impressed I am with this shop!!! Ive been traveling around the country in a 1996 Ford Econoline van with my partner. We started having break issue once we hit higher elevation and colder weather. I took the van into Brake Masters to get a brake job done. Juan was AMAZING!! Very kind and explained everything. We got the brakes done and there was still a problem with the van after. I took it in the next day and Juan went over and beyond to make sure we figure out the issue. I came here to get an oil change and I dropped my car off around 1; it was pretty busy and I wasn’t sure that it would get done and I came back around 3:30 to check (since it closes at 4). It had not been taken in yet and I was willing to come back a different day. However, they got my car in for the oil change, even though they were approaching the end of their work day. This is not the first time I’ve had my oil changed at this Brake Masters, and it certainly will not be the last. They take care of their customers and will not let you down! Thank you Brake Masters!
