Although I did not buy anything here the staff are amazing and super helpful. The tile selection is out of this world and will make you wish you could afford to build a 60k shower! Even with all the crazy expensive tiles they have many value options and will help work with you and your budget.

Best selection in all of New England. They carry tons of tile that no one else has access to. The staff is 2nd to none, both in helpfulness and design.

In keeping with the fairy tale theme, this is a magical shop. You have to drive over the river and through the woods to reach this store, but it is worth the effort. They have an amazing selection of tile and an experienced staff. Gabe was immensely helpful in making suggestions for two bathroom schemes. In addition to a broad range of what might be called more traditional tile choices porcelains, marbles, mosaics), they have a large selection of specialty tiles. Anyone restoring an historic home or Art Deco will find a treasure trove of specialty tiles here. Highly recommended.

Living in Bolton, We have gone to many tile shops from Maynard down to Shrewsbury looking for backsplash tile for the kitchen and accent tile for above the cook top, then went to Once Upon a Tile and my husband and I were so impressed! From the outside the store doesnt look like much but once you get inside thats when I had the oh wow moment. Great visual displays, not overwhelming and the staff was great and took the time to listen and bring some great ideas to the table. They had all the major tile brands like the other stores but when it came to unique accent tile, they hit it out of the ball park! Working with Gab to pick out just the right accent tile for above the stove was actually fun, not overwhelming! She was able to show us from an email picture of the kitchen we sent her, what the new tile would look like. That was awesome and high tech! So worth the drive and we found everything we wanted there.

The selection of tile is amazing and the people extremely knowledgeable. They can help with everything from design questions to underlayment questions. They answered questions I didnt even knew I had, and I am glad they did.

With three small children, Fitchburg is further than I would normally ever think to go to shop from my home in Arlington, but Once Upon a Tile is absolutely worth the trip! They were incredibly helpful -- hearing not just what I was saying I wanted, but really understanding what I was trying to get at, and pointed me at some tile options that werent what I thought I wanted by ended up being perfect. When the time came to pick up the tile, they were very helpful in loading it into my car (I was very pregnant one time and couldnt lift but even when I came to pick up when I wasnt pregnant they were super helpful). Weve ordered tile for two bathrooms, and love the results -- when we redo our kitchen in a few years I know well get our tile here! My parents have also loved Once Upon a Tile (we originally found this store when my parents were redoing *their* kitchen several years ago). My parents decided they wanted the same bathroom floor tile we had chosen -- they had gone out to Fitchburg from Dorchester to pick it out, but then lost the paper theyd written it down on. I was able to call and they were able to look up my order and get the information so my parents could order without schlepping all the way out there again -- a huge help!!

We had them install a tile backsplash in our newly renovated kitchen a few years ago. After reading some negative reviews, I can only say our experience was great! Their attention to every detail was impressive and I wouldnt hesitate to use them again! The installation came out perfectly and they had a better selection of tile after we spent way too much time trying to find the right color between HD and Lowes who tend to buy in big common lots with less to choose from!
