Chelsea has been a great help in getting us started at Sylvan. We have had friends whose children have thrived here! I am excited to see the difference they are going to make for our family!

From our initial contact with Sylvan though almost two months of tutoring, I am impressed with the quality of the personnel, the cleanliness of the facility, and the children-centered environment. Sylvan learning was introduced to us by being provided to my children for free tutoring through their school for the summer.. They have been attending classes there for 3 weeks and we have had very positive results already. Not only was this a fabulous opportunity to take advantage of for their learning progress, but also for their confidence level in the skills they are learning. If you have a child struggling with school, Sylvan Learning is an amazing place to introduce to your child and their learning needs.

Great communication and understanding of the entire Sylvan process. My children go 6 hours a week and are always interested and excited to go. Overall a great experience for the summer and great way to feel assured your children are learning and keeping the knowledge fresh during summer break!

Our son has been attending Sylvan since March and we have seen a huge improvement in his reading skills. Sylvan has helped my daughter in so many ways in the short month she has been going. She was recently placed into the title I reading intervention at school, but has already been taken out of it due to her improvement. We have seen a huge difference in her reading skills but also her confidence in herself. The staff is kind and makes it a priority to keep parents updated on the students progress. I was very impressed with how they reached out to my daughters teacher at school to touch base with them on things they were seeing in the classroom and what needs they thought she needed help in. My daughters teacher actually set up a meeting with Sylvan and they both went over her scores on test that she did at school and the score she got with the test at Sylvan. They went over together the individualized plan for my daughter. This is above and beyond in my opinion. My daughter hasnt always been fond of school because she was struggling and we worked with her every night at home, but she was getting so frustrated. However, since starting at Sylvan, the confidence she is gaining is making a difference in her attitude about school and it is all thanks to Sylvan. The reward system they have helps keep my daughter motivated. If you child is struggling, I highly recommend Sylvan. Building the foundation of reading is important and it only makes academics easier for your child in the future. Struggling in school leads to lack of confidence and poor attitude. So far so good. My son doesnt dread learning with the staff here and they are all so sweet and respectful. The incentive to earn tokens has been really good for him. I love theyre approach to figuring out the childrens struggle areas and have high hopes. He hasnt been there long so still waiting to see the improvements he needs for 4th grade. Honestly I do understand why its expensive but its the main reason I gave it 4 stars.Update: Changing my review to 5 stars. My son is doing amazing with reading now. Has come far so quickly. I just wish it was more affordable as we had to drop him down in hours per week. But it is worth it!! My sons new favorite subject is now reading! Thanks Sylvan!

Very nice people and environment and it feels like a family

After four weeks of attending Sylvan, I have gained confidence in my math skills and raised my grade significantly. I felt overwhelmed with the amount of assignments and Sylvan helped me get back on track by working directly with my school. I high recommend Sylvan Learning.

Sylvan is a great place to bring your child that is struggling with schoolwork. My granddaughter was having trouble in math. With the help from Sylvan she is getting back on track. She loves going, and likes her teacher too. She’s getting her confidence back!!

The staff have gone out of their way to give my child support and show her constant kindness. I particularly like the monthly progress reports that I get so I know specifically what my child is working on. I also appreciate their willingness to synch up with local school curriculum. Our middle school son was somewhat behind in math. He also needed help organizing thoughts and putting them in paragraph form to be able to do better on extended responses for state testing. Sylvan not only increased his performance grade level, but gave him the CONFIDENCE he needed to succeed in the areas where there was a deficit.

Our daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and was falling behind in school. We wanted to get her the help she needed before entering a new school year; and in just over a month, we have already noticed a big difference. She is gaining confidence and has already begun mastering activities. The staff is excellent at figuring out her individual needs and working with her in a way that is unique to her wants and needs.

I was impressed walking into the center for the first time. The staff and teachers are exceptional and I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. All my questions were easily answered, classes were explained, and we signed up right away. My grandson participates in the STEM program and loves it! Im a student here and Ive had nothing but the best. Sometimes I struggle with teachers using big words explaining math and other subjects in an impossible way for me to understand. I was dreading coming here when my mom said I was gonna have to go to tutoring because I get so frustrated but its like they speak my language here. My grade started at a D- and since Ive been here Ive passed my class with a B+. The teachers are very polite and patient and so understanding. They make it a lot of fun to be here. Im so happy with the progress Ive made. I couldnt have done it without this place. Truly. I would 100% recommend this for anyone having struggles in school.

I cant say enough good things about Sylvan of Findlay. Not only is my son responding extremely well to the program, all of the staff have been exceptional. Communication has been great. My daughter was a little behind in school. I started looking around for tutors and found Sylvan. that was one of the best decisions I ever made. I started to see a difference after just a couple classes. The staff is always polite and the teachers are amazing with children. My daughter is very shy and never spoke much or raised her hand in class. Her school teacher noticed that shes now raising her hand more and answering more questions in class. When I asked my daughter if she is starting to feel more comfortable in class, she said yes because of Sylvan!!

A great place for your child to get the help they need with their educational struggles. They set up a plan for each child based off of the specific areas they need help with, so no wasting time on the things they already grasp. Friendly staff and environment...for students of any age. Very competent, patient tutors have helped my son with his writing so much.

After a few years of putting our son into activities, we finally found that STEM classes were the way to go. My 6 year old looks forward to going to every class, he doesnt mind the writing or math components, and enjoys talking about what he did for the session. The staff is exceptionally friendly and communication is great!

Weve been going to Sylvan Learning of Findlay since mid-December 2017. My child has been showing progress at each conference and I am noticing changes in fluency already. I am very pleased with the progress made so far.

Desmon said he got the help he need so he could have the good grades to play football and other sports. I think the place is good for kids who need the extra help.

Sylvan has helped my son tremendously! He is already smart but Sylvan has given him the tools to study more effectively and helped him dig deeper into what a question might be asking for. Sylvan establishes parameters for each individual regarding hours of commitment, tutoring subject needs, and areas that growth is needed in (i.e. note taking or essay writing). While grades matter in a classroom, Sylvan also meets monthly with the parent to discuss progress and future goals. I cannot say enough about this program, it has allowed us as parents to take the nightly stress of Did you do your homework? OR Did you study for your test? completely out of the picture. There is no longer arguing about school, just reflecting on his new approach and ease of achieving the grades and skills he needs for college. Thank you !
