Best place around to adopt a cat. Spayed or neutered, all shots, low cost. I have adopted a dog & 2 kittens in the past 20 years, & I volunteered for a bit. Staff has always been great, & my pets have been wonderful. I adopted a 14 week old kitten last summer, for $30. Sweetest cat ever!

The employees here dont just act like its only their job. They care and it shows about every animal that comes in and they go out of their way to help people at home too. They checked on a friend who has several dogs and helped them get their dogs spayed and neutered. Did a great thing for a good person. 5hank you sooo much

Their working cats program is horrible, outdoor cats kill so many migratory birds. It would be better to just put those cats down. Also they lie on their website by saying that these cats are eco friendly, ha imagine that. I just can not believe how evil these people are. Aren’tthey supposed to be helping animals not killing them? This is just unbelievable that they would do this. I am so disappointed, they should know better.

There was LITTLE information on the dog 🐕 that I was going to get. They were (I felt) hiding something about the dog,being veg in the answers given. Its no wonder they cant place the animals they have. The dog 🐕 I was interested in was VERY SKIDISH and even growled as I was going to pet him. BUD&OLIVER BOTH DOGS NEED INTENSE SOCIALIZATION SKILLS BEFORE they can EVEN be CONCIDERED FOR ADOPTION.

We adopted a great dog from them. Patches aka Jack has turned out to be a wonderful dog. He didn’t learn much from them, but I think that’s because he didn’t spend much time on the adoption floor. I know from my time volunteering here that the dogs are trained not to pull, to wait at every doorway and how to sit. They treat both their dogs and cats wonderfully and it is a friendly place for the animals to spend their time while waiting for a home

Great place. Always clean. Just wish people would fix their pets to stop all the killing of innocent loving pets. If you cant love them forever as they would you then dont get any!

Visited the Hancock Humane Society today. Such a nice experience. It is clean & well taken care of. And everyone was very friendly.

Great place to find your furever best friend. Lots of choices and they are treated well. They teach the dogs basic things while they are there, such as sit, wait, to walk next to you instead of pulling on the leash and other things. The environment is friendly, the staff is friendly. I couldnt ask for a better place to find my newest family member. Fletcher is great!

The people here are very friendly. My family had been looking for a cat, and when they got one in that they thought we might be interested in (we had visited once or twice prior to this), they contacted us. Turns out this cat was just perfect for us, so shes now part of our family. They take care of the animals in their care. Always get your pets from places like this. 💕

When I take someone here I have to stay in the car otherwise I want to take all the animals home 😢

This shelter is low/no kill. Unfortunately this means that intake can be limited, but its good to know that they will not put down healthy animals just to make room for more.

Neutered our dog, trimmed his nails, gave him a rabies vaccine, and microchipped him for a very reasonable price. Very nice people too. I recommend.

Terrible customer service. Wont EVER answer the phone or return calls, even during regular business hours. Feel sorry for the pets there because theyll never get back home with the staff ignoring all inquiries. Desperately needing someone new in control there that actually cares about reconnecting pets with their owners. Heartless and cruel.
