Worse place to get a gym membership. The staff are ignorant, unprofessional, and the place is a dump. Never heard anything good about the place from others either. Do NOT get a membership here. Youd be better off buying some equipment from Walmart.

I like that the owner is on-site. If youre looking for a real gym where you dont have to be afraid of alarms and sirens going off, this is the place for you!

Its the only gym in the area so you get what you pay for. The cancelation policy is a little shady. They also painted their equipment black and called it a upgrade. The owner and staff are nice, just need to update equipment and clean a little more.

Be careful in considering Total Body Fitness Festus. Especially consider their contract; you are guaranteed to pay for time you wont be accessing the gym. Might consider charging your account to a credit card that you can cancel if needed. Wife had a membership two years ago, used it some, and gym was OK. (thats why theyre getting two stars). She called and requested to cancel her membership in Jan 18. Employee there claimed she needed to send a certified letter via USPS. (something no other type of business requires - think about it). She didnt make it a priority to go to the post office, and some $250+ later we found we were still being billed. Sent a certified letter and called to remind them that we wanted the membership cancelled (as they already had 300+ days of notice). Certified letter was delivered Nov 23 and we are still being billed.I called today and they now told me that they require 30 days of written notice to cancel so the December bill was not a fluke, and refuse to refund it. **Its in the contract!**No other business operates in this fashion. This one should not either. Please request they alter the contract before you consider signing up.

This is probably my favorite gym. There are mainly 4 or 5 people in here most of the time so its not too crowded and not too quiet. The equipment is great and can provide workouts for anyone.

Good gym at a great price, yes some equipment is older but it still works the way it should. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful. They have a lot of equipment that other gyms dont have, as well as a lot of different classes. For people complaining about the smell, it smells like a gym where people workout and sweat, not where you go to get served pizza.

One of the best gyms around. I train 5 to 6 days a week. You get to know some of the people you work out with and always getting new ideas for my routine.

Serves the general purposes if a gym. Alot of weight lifting equipment but not much in the way of cardio equipment. Also pricey and you are locked into a 1 year contract. If your goal is to stay local though this is it. Open 24 hours.THIS GYM CONTINUED TO CHARGE MEMBERS DURRING ITS CLOSING DUE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK. THATS $30+ A MONTH FOR A GYM THAT MEMBERS CANNOT USE

Horrible...the smell of the place is overwhelming. And if you can get over that then you have to face the ancient equipment that may or may not work. There are other, cleaner gyms out there that happen to cost less and offer more.

Great environment

This is a vintage gym, with friendly employees, and a great owner. Very reasonably priced, and all the members I have met are very respectful.

The gym smells all the time! The shower room has mold growing everywhere. Half of the equipment does not work properly. The treadmills are run down, and half of those are out of service.

They don’t take childcare safety seriously. Our first time we brought our 6 month old son. There were a lot of children only being watched by one person. When my son began to cry the employee handed my son to a random person that I didn’t know to calm because she had her hands full. It’s a blatant disregard to child safety. When I asked to cancel our pre-paid membership they said that was a void of contract and refused to give a refund. NEVER bring a child here.UPDATE! Someone who works there contacted me and called me a liar. $150 down the drain.

Been going for a decade. The owner mike is one hell of a trainer.

Excellent place to lift heavy stuff!!!

The equipment is outdated and doesnt have the range its supposed to have. Then you have all the nasty sweaty people that use the equipment the walk away and dont wipe the equipment down. The people that do wipe the equipment down have to use the community rag that has 1000 people sweat on it that never gets cleaned and spray bottle that doesnt have the right mixture of sanitizer. Over all this place is gross and your forced to pay for a year. I went alot at the beginning of my contract and the more I payed attention to how gross it was I just stopped and wasted 10 months of membership for me and my wife .

Very rude management there. Cancelled my membership and payments were still coming out. Equipment was always disgusting too. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Staff is rude, most of the equipment is broken and they are way overpriced for what they offer.

My wife joined this gym and they are making it nearly impossible to cancel the membership. Very disappointed in the management. We have done everything they have asked( including mailing the letter over a month ago) and we are still being charged. They are actually NOT allowing us to discontinue our membership.

The owner would treat me and my friends like trash. Everytime something would happen at gym, he would come up to talking to us in an, “intimidating” way, acting like we were behind it.Someone lied to the owner about me cussing him out and letting friends in for free. Mike believed him over me and I had to explain to mike that the people I bring in have member ships and I never cussed anyone out. Especially to the dude who made the rumors. The guy was huge. He would squash me.I finally lost it when they lost my credit card information and hadn’t charged me for 3 months. I brought this up to him when I realized they weren’t charging me. I payed them back in full that same day for 3 months. Then mike told me I’m not responsible and I can not be trusted financially…. It was there system that messed up not me. I told him I’m done and went to Complete fitness after that and seriously have had no problems with them for the 4 years I’ve been with them.What was funny was one of the ladies that worked there called me 2 days later saying that their system messed up and offered me to come back.. I kindly declined.
