Absolutely love this bank! Lynne Grass is always amazing to work with no matter what the questions or help needed. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this bank!

Commerce Bank claims to offer flexible financial options for those in need during the COVID-19 crisis, but this is not true. I called the number listed on their website to ask for assistance with my mortgage payment. The guy on the other line said Yes, I see your loan right here. He continued to offer me the option of pushing my next payment out until June, with the two months of April and May getting added to the back end of the loan, and no increase in the amount of the monthly payment. Sounded like a good plan, so I said yes. I then used the amount of my April mortgage payment to help pay for other financial needs for my family. I then received a bill in the mail and started receiving phone calls asking why my April mortgage payment was late. I told the lady on the phone that I already set up a plan with Commerce that allowed me to skip April and May payments and begin again in June. She said they have no record of this. Come to find out, the original guy I talked to processed the payment extension on the wrong loan, he processed my request on my Personal loan, not my Mortgage loan. So now instead of Commerce Bank helping me with my financial situation, they forced me to have to pay TWO mortgage payments in one month. I was told that I originally talked to a guy from the personal loan dept, not someone from the mortgage loan dept. I was never informed of this during my conversation. After 3+ phone calls with each dept, speaking with rude representatives and supervisors, I was basically told that there was nothing they could do to fix the situation. One gentleman actually told me well my hands are tied, theres nothing we can do about it., while another said I dont know what you want us to do about it, because you were going to have to make the mortgage payment eventually anyway. Not one representative ever said I apologize on behalf of Commerce Bank or expressed any sort of concern for the situation that THEY put me in. Not one dept took responsibility for the mistake. The personal loan dept told me they couldnt help and I needed to contact the mortgage dept, and the mortgage dept said they couldnt help, because it wasnt them that made the mistake and I needed to call the personal loan dept. The biggest joke I have ever been a part of. I definitely did not expect this kind of reaction from such a large, well-established Bank like Commerce. Commerce Bank put a very large financial burden on my family during a time in which they offer to do the opposite. How am I suppose to make TWO mortgage payments at one time, when I was asking for assistance in the first place?

The bank is cashing checks before the date on the Check is this frustrating they don’t cash pay your paycheck 3 days in advance going over the paperwork is there job when they make a mistake charge you a fee

I have been banking at Commerce Banks for 46 years I wanted to get some notary work done I called and told them that I would need two witnesses they told me they could do that I made an appointment when I got there they told me they didnt do witnesses that I would have to get my own why couldnt they have told me this on the phone I think I need to change Banks

Commerce Bank as an institution has served me well, however the service at this particular location has been sub par. Today at 2:00 I waited 20 minutes to open a new account, and then I left when I wasnt helped. Two other customers who had been there before me left as well without being helped. In addition, no one approached us to see what we needed, why we came in, or even to apologize for our wait. Whatever the issue was, if 3 customers leave without being helped in a 20 minute period, I would hate to see what a whole day looks like.

Dont waste your valuable time! Waited on hold for an agent for over 25 minutes during normal business hours. Called back and nicely asked for a manager and the little miss attitude refused. Said all she could do was put me back in que. Is this how much you respect my time? I never got my task accomplished. Arrogant bankers want us to use the website, hoping if they make the customer service so terrible it drives us to the site, so they hope. Cut payroll... Only have one person, or no person actually working. Well, only problem is I needed to speak to a human and didnt have time/will never have time to wait that long. H O R R I B L E excuse for a bank. Never again.

Went through the teller drive thru where I told the teller how much cash I was depositing. She sent me the ticket and I noticed the ticket started $20 less than what I gave her so I sent it back and called her. She seemed to not care and didnt do anything about it to fix it. I told her some of the 20s were sticking together but that didnt make her do anything. So I guess she gets that money....

I have been doing business at Commerce for a while. Wouldnt really recommend it. Definitely not the best bank out there. I have had a lot of problems with fees they dont tell me about. This branch in particular will give you some trouble. I guess that can be expected for a lot of banks, but I cant give it more than 3 stars.

Had to cancel accounts including a business account.1. They NEVER answer your phone calls even hours after.2.They make continuous accounting mistakes some corrected by personal bankers some result in charges to your account.3. They have no means to accomidate businesses that frequently go out of town.4. They have ridiculous policies regarding mobile deposit which restricts your access to your own money when out of town.
