Conrest employees were deceptive in their charges and tried to charge us well over $1000 because they thought we were claiming a minor repair on our insurance and that we had a $1000 deductable. When they found out we were not claiming it in our insurance they agreed to $250 cash. I paid them and got a receipt. Then nine months later they sent me a bill for $375 more. I dont know if they were hoping we didnt have the receipt still, but we did with paid in full written on it. When I emailed them a copy of my receipt, they sent a new bill claiming only the onebill was paid in full. The con in their name is appropriate.
The overall work was completed was ok. But the billing seemed hugely excessive and the amount of material they took definitely did not add up to what they claimed. Plus after being paid over $6k, I received a FINAL bill of $73. Not sure how you get paid what you billed, then submit another bill for more money, not sure thats how it works. ? Good luck.
This company does not pay there sub contactors. I refinished a perfect maple floor for them that even mike castle one of there project managers said this is finish i used looks amazing. the color was slightley off but did not even give me a chance to do anything about it. They just did not pay me. I have called Mike castle several times and no response. This company is a joke so if you decide to use them and they dont pay there subs you may get your house leined. i waited to long to do that which sucks. They owe me over 8k on a couple jobs they stiffed me on. BE AWARE
The guys who came out to do the work were quick, professional, and courteous. The people at the office, however, were slow to return calls, often couldnt explain my questions about the process, and often said Thats not my job, let me see if I can get somebody else to call you. I was actually told to just sign the papers, well sort it out later. Thats just not kosher!I dont feel it is unreasonable to have my questions answered BEFORE I sign a contract or a certificate of completion.
I dont understand how there are negative reviews for CONREST. For those leaving reviews for any company, please add some actual detail about what went wrong if you are leaving a negative review. Giving a bad review for having to pay $70 bucks because you maxed out your insurance isnt helpful to those of us reading the reviews and its not fair to the company you are reviewing.I had a water line to my refrigerator break while I was on vacation. My house had serious water damage on the first floor and basement, probably around $30K damage. My insurance company Amica recommended CONREST and Amica reached out to them for help. CONREST called me at 11:00 pm on a Saturday night within an hour after Amica reached out to CONREST for me. CONREST was willing to come to my house right away that night. Id call that excellent service and very responsive. Not unresponsive like some of the other reviews say. Ive also received almost immediate responses to my text messages and phone calls Ive made to the water mitigation team.My water mitigation person is Nichole. She has been extremely helpful and Ive been impressed by how knowledgeable she is and how willing she has been to help me find other specialists to help with textile restoration, furniture repair, plumbing, electronics assessment, and so on. I dont know about you but I hate having to hunt down contractors to do work like this. Seems like when I do try to find contractors they dont return my calls and emails or they dont show up for scheduled appointments. I also have no clue if they are any good or not until after the work gets done (or not done). Im very happy that Nichole has been helping me understand what needs to be done even beyond the water mitigation work. Its nice to have an opinion from someone who deals with this stuff every day and knows who does a good job. However, at the same time Nichole keeps telling me Or you can use any contractor you would like to use. Its your choice there is no hard sell or push to use the companies she knows of. If you read this Nichole THANK YOU!Ive also been impressed at how quickly Nichole and her team have worked to get my house dried up. She has a couple of helpers and let me tell you, they work their tails off. I was amazed how much they can get done in a day. I also like that they have been out every day even if its just to take meter readings. I didnt realize before I had this damage that water mitigation was such a science. Its way more than a couple guys with a crowbar and a wet vac. This team definitely knows what they are doing and they even clean up the work site every day pretty well before they leave. I consider that very professional behavior for a contract service.Im going to use the construction restoration division of CONREST to do the repairs once the water team gets everything dried up. Ill add to this review about my experience with the restoration goes once that work is complete. At least for water mitigation, I would not hesitate to recommend CONREST.
They assess damage & do everything necessary for completion of exceptional work.
Being new to home ownership, I was naive about how I expected companies to deal with their business. When we had a leak in our roof, our insurance company sent out Conrest to help with cleanup. The ladies that came out in the beginning to help dry out our house were wonderful and I expected the same from the rest of the company. We decided to go with them for the problem to fix our roof (where the leak came from). They consistently did not return calls, gave incorrect information, never followed up on promises, and sent out a contractor that NEVER CAME TO THE DOOR prior to starting or completing work for the day. I was not even sure when the job was completed, I had to call Conrest and speak to someone who treated me as if my concern was a problem to him.I am usually the person who reviews companies for good work ONLY. I figure if there is a bad situation, often it is isolated. Reading the earlier reviews I see ill-communication is very consistent for Conrest.
Yup I worked for these guys and they ripped me off. Two guys and I mudded and taped a whole house 5000 square feet! And he refused to pay us a dollar! Mike c was his name. Bad business ! He just jerked us around for 2 months then said we wont get paid at all! Bad business I will be paying 300 dollars to small claims this week! I also work for Ryan building materials and delivered the house! Just a whole bunch of crooks!
I want anyone thinking of using this company to think again. They are THE WORST COMPANY I have ever dealt with, no communication or follow up at all. They say they will do something and never do it. Then, they try to bill you and your insurance for work they never did? I repeat, do not let this company do anything for you.
