Glende- Nilson helped us with our Fathers Memorial service at our local church. They assisted us with every aspect of the service and the interment. It was a beautiful service and everything went like clock work. Absolutely no stress thanks to Rick and his crew.

Everyone at Glende-Nilson funeral home did an amazing job with my late mothers funeral. Luke and Elizabeth have been so helpful and thoughtful though out everything weve been dealing with. They really mean what they say they are still checking up on us to me thats the biggest thing they truly care. I have been and will continue to tell people about them. They are special people.

Glende-Nilson was so supportive in our time of loss. We first used them with my mom’s passing and than we planned our dads funeral a year prior to losing him. They explained everything up front and when it was time to plan they walked us through each step. They went above and beyond with helping us download a video I found to share and even put together memorial candles for both of my parents. Luke and Elizabeth stayed in touch with us and helped us in such a sad day in our life.

The staff, Luke and Elizabeth, were so kind and caring from beginning to end. They made the entire process seamless. We never felt rushed or pressured into anything. The memorial service and funeral went perfectly and was even set up online for those who could not attend. Even though they were busy, you didn’t get that feeling whatsoever from them. Very thankful to have such compassionate people around. Thank you!

My mother passed away in June. We had her cremated and held a service here. They provided exceptional care. Came and got her from her nursing home. Took care of all the fine details. They were very knowledgeable and helped with all of our questions. I was very satisfied and had a positive experience despite the difficult time we were in. I was very fortunate to not have more added stress that could have happened from a funeral home. So thank you for taking care of my mom.I would also like to add that they have reached out and have checked in on my brothers and myself to make sure that we are doing okay and offered some grief help via their website. They messaged us on her birthday. It was all very helpful and very nice to know that they care a lot. Not just for our business but us as people. I would recommend this funeral home a million times over.

They did great with my mothers funeral! I would recommend them to anyone. They recorded the funeral in this hard time with COVID so that the people who couldnt make it were able to watch it live, they also made an amazing slide show to remember my mother that played while people came into the church for the funeral. What a great and easy way to remember your loved one. They provide ways to purchase the video and slideshow as well! I would again recommend them to anyone who is looking for a funeral home to help you through such a tough time. The best part is that they actually reached out to all of my mothers close family members and asked us personally if we needed anything after the funeral. So great to have someone celebrate the life of a loved one who actually personally cares.

My parents had selected Glende-Nilson for their pre-arranged and pre-paid services. The majority of the final desires of my parents were well defined within their program such that the mental toll on us as grieving sons was almost non-existent. They have the best staff Ive ever dealt with in these situations. Their facilities rival the big name funeral homes, but provided a much more personal touch. I highly recommend them.

What a wonderful place. Over the years Rick Mekalson has helped bury my grandfather, grandmother, niece, brother and now my mother. My mother passed away due to complications from Covid-19 and it could have been so much more difficult if not for Rick. He let us know that he would be available night or day if we needed him. My mother, Muriel Lundsetter-Runningen passed away while wintering in Phoenix, AZ. I didnt know what to do, but I knew that her funeral arrangements had been made in advance through Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, MN. From the moment I first spoke with Andrew Yaggie, I knew that I was in good hands. Andrew made all of the arrangements for mortuary services in Phoenix, removal of the body to Fargo, ND, picked up the body in Fargo to transport to Fergus Falls, as well as walked my family through all of the details that we needed with the First Lutheran Church, two ministers, caterers, flowers, guest book, thank you notes, and so much more.I felt like I could call or email Andrew at any time, day or night, both while I was in Phoenix, and also when I returned to my home in Virginia. He was always kind, considerate, and timely in helping my family through each step of a difficult process under emotional circumstances.
