Stayed there for two nights as part of an extensive US roadtrip. Is among my top 3 campgrounds so far, of about 50 I stayed during this trip. Lovely couple who is running this resort, super kind and supportive. And great fishing caught a monster large mouth bass. Would recommend anytime.
Absolutely enjoyed every second of this place. Thomas is super friendly and helpful. I brought my retired parents for the weekend and we stayed in Cabin3. It has a ramp and two glider rockers that seemed to be perfect for our stay. We took my dad out in the boat and he caught two bass. He hasnt had vision for 10 years but had no problem getting around this place. The grounds are so well groomed and the gardens are just lovely. This is a must see place!!
Stayed at the Swan Lake campground for a weekend and had a great experience. The campground is beautiful and right by the lake. It was a very refreshing weekend! Lots of activities available - volleyball, canoeing, indoor games and hammocks. There’s even a little trail to walk up to. It rained a little during the weekend (you can see that from the pictures), but there was still lots to do even with the rain.Absolutely loved my visit and wish I could’ve stayed longer.
My wife and I ( and our 2 Golden Retrievers) stayed one night on our way home from a long RV trip. The park is well maintained, and quite nice. I wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the lake and other amenities. If we’re ever traveling through the area again we will be sure to plan on a multi day stay. It’s a beautiful campground!
Very nice and easy to work with new owners I’ve stayed at swan lake once, amazing experience such a clean camp ground. But also have rented a boat from them mutable times and they make it happen for me every time and make it such a great experience, almost like a second home. Also the store always has wood and ice in hand! If I could give the team more than a 5 star rating I would in a heart beat I will definitely be doing most of my camping there.
Had such an amazing trip here! Drove 3 hours from the cities and it was worth it!! We camped in tents. Our space was very big and well kept, and we had a fireplace as well, right next to the water!!!! The hosts were extremely accommodating and lovely. They have a little store on site that has ice, firewood, and much more! (All the little things you forget basically). We were able to use the paddle boards and peddle boats and had a blast. Very family friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!!
Love this place!!! The campground is beautiful and the sites and bathrooms are always clean. You can tell theses guys really care! There’s a ton of stuff to do for the kids and the staff even does activities with them. I’ve never seen the kids so busy…and it’s awesome! Can’t say enough good things about Swan Lake. This is the best campground I’ve visited, hands down.Keep it up guys!!!
Beautiful, peaceful, and lots to do. Kayaks, canoes, and a paddle boat are available for guests to use for free. Volley ball, corn hole, pool, foozeball, ping pong, countless board games and so much more are all along the property. They even have a short nature trail with little stops to do different work outs! Very well kept and friendly staff. They are dog friendly as well.
The best campground experience I have ever had. The campground is beautiful and clean, especially the bathroom, very clean, and the shower works great, enough pressure and decent volume. Plus, it is really a great place to relax and make friends. A young couple and their friend took over the campground this year. They are passionate and attentive, not only made space for us to set up our tent, but also checking our needs, taking my son for canoeing. Tom and Anna, thank you so much, making my trip so wonderful, and your guys are doing an awesome job for this place.
Nice cozy place didnt explore alot but would seem like a fun place to bring the family.
Amazing resort! I camped here this summer with family and we all had a blast. Highlights included playing volleyball and going out on one of the pontoons. The owners are so friendly, helpful and welcoming! We hope to make it back next year to try staying in a cabin.
Such a sweet campground with kind owners. So many outdoor games, water toys, and things to do. Everything was clean and the landscaping was beautiful. We stumbled upon this Swan Lake campground on a cross country trip and wish we could have stayed for more than one night. We enjoyed our stay.
Where to begin!!!! We had a very large group that came in from all over the US for my brother in laws memorial. We had rented a pontoon boat for the morning and my father in law who has advanced medical conditions was unable to get onto the boat. (Did I mention that my in-laws honeymooned at this very lake 60 years ago?!) Jake (one of the owners) allowed us to pull our vehicle up to the water so my father in law could watch his family and so we could plug in his oxygen machine to the small building outside. We spoke with Laura and Jake for a period of time and they were so incredibly friendly and kind!!! This place has so many cools features and things to do and is well taken care of not to mention the BEST STAFF EVER!!! We will definitely be back!!! Book your get away today...you wont be disappointed!!!!!
This is an amazing campground! Its beautiful, clean and the owners are so kind and helpful. There are many amenities like bike rentals, paddle boats and kayaks that we enjoyed and even activities for little kids - something for everyone! Its so peaceful here, we absolutely love it
What a great accidental find! Beautiful, serene & the folks running the joint are fabulous!
Awesome place! Stayed there after biking along the Central Lakes Trail from Osakis. Great 50 mile ride, great place to stay and relax before the return trip. Enjoyed the lake and the wonderful campground. Owners were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed there the first night of a 5,000 mile trip. A rogue wind damaged our awning beyond repair. With Toms help we managed to make it road worthy. It survived the remainder of the journey. Without his willingness to help we would have lost at least a day or more. He went above and beyond. Plus, its a beautiful location. Thanks Tom.
Well kept and very friendly. Attractive setting.
This has been the best camping experience i’ve had in a long time. Super affordable rates, beautiful location, spacious spots, good people, and a very relaxing atmosphere. The couple the owns and operates it are soooo incredibly friendly. With a cute beach, FREE paddle boat/kayak rental you will not run out of things to do. Even offering “Kids Club” for elementary age kids. The bath rooms are always clean and organized and (if you’re worried about it) the water pressure and temperature of the showers is second to none. I have nothing but good things to say about this place, and i will be coming back again!!!
Highly recommend! Beach is very tidy, camp sites are well spaced. Bathroom facilities are clean. Lots of fun family activities!
Easy in and out. New owners are down to earth and helpful, even let us use their grill when ours broke. Very clean and accessible resort. Great beach area. Best camping Ive seen in minnesota
Tomas, Anna, Andy, and their family did everything they could to make our stay a very pleasant experience. Thank you.
A beautiful, fun and well-maintained resort. New owners are very welcoming and relaxed. Definitely enjoyed my overnight stay.
Great place to camp an hang out. Can swim there an kids are welcome there as well. Nice place an like everything theyve done to it. They have cabins there as well as activities for anyone any age. Call to find out.
Rented a pontoon for the day. More affordable than any other place we called. Big, beautiful lake and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed at Cabin #1 for four nights a this well maintained resort. The kids had so many activity to pick, including but not limited to a large play structure with slides & swings, nature trail with geo-exercise activities, foosball, pool, ping-pong(board games and books that we didnt tap into), yard games(giant jenga, spike ball, lawn darts, bocce, croquet) near by a slack line and hammocks. Down by the beach, there was volleyball, crossnet and a basket ball hoop. It was hard to pick between jumping off the floating dock, or another game of PIG. Power boats, paddle boats, peddle boats were available and the SUPs were used to stage a mock navel battle with many overboards and splashing. :-)The hosts clearly care about maintaining the property through visible efforts of mowing, watering, raking weeds off the beach and other improvement projects. They also care about the experience of their visitors. They purchased a second basketball for us to play Knockout. The cabin was cool, comfortable and quite, a great place to crash at the end of the day.All in all, our littlest wants to move to Minnesota, and the older said it was worth the drive :-) we hope to come back again next year. Thanks for hosting us!
Under new owners. New owners are as fantastic as the previous owners.Activities scheduled.Bathrooms clean.Store with ice and basics.
There was plenty to do for our children. Campground was clean, spacious, and owners were great. Will be back.
The young adults who now manage this campground are doing an excellent job updating and sprucing up the surroundings. They offered games for different ages and tried to involve campers in activities. The only downside is the shower house has only 1 shower.
Helpful staff with lots of games, canoes, pool table, pingpong etc. A nice spot
Great campground. Well maintained, no thistle in the grass. The pea gravel all around makes it look clean and keeps you from tracking in sand. The beach is small but nice. Even the water felt softened. Great campground.
We stayed here for a week for the first time this year. We love it and are going to book for next year and have plans to keep coming back! The cabins are clean, comfortable, and well stocked with kitchen wares, beds/ furniture, tv and DVD player. The lake is 700 acres and has plenty of bluegill, northern Pike, and bass. The owners are super nice and very family friendly. A storm came through during our stay and took down several large trees. The owners had the trees cleaned up by mid day! They checked on all the cabins and kept us up to date on the conditions of the campground. We did t skip a beat of our relaxing vacation ! We also rented a pontoon and had it out on the water everyday. Any slight thing that malfunctioned was taken care of immediately. (Pretty sure one of our young daughters pushed some buttons on the fish finder and we thought it quit working. John knew right away the screen had probably been blackened and had it back in view in no time!)
An amazing place to stay.. My family and I were so happy with everything they have to offer. We rented the pontoon, we went out on their free kayaks, and roasting s’mores around the campfire! Great family owned company. Going back for sure!
We went with my daughters and grandkids and had a blast. We rented a pontoon for 8 hours and although we only caught 1 walleye it was a beauty! Judi was the best and took great care of us all. We will definitely be going back and next time we will rent a cabin and stay all weekend. It is a beautiful place!
Beautiful campground and GREAT for kids! The owners obviously take great care of the property and we’re incredibly friendly and accommodating. We were sad we could only stay one night!
Great people, beautiful grounds. Very clean and neat. Awesome firewood. Great destination or overnight. Highly recommended.
Nice campground, very pretty lake. Call ahead or make reservation. Most sites were long term campers. Close to I 94.
Very nice owners. Level sites, full hookups. Nice beach.
Very good lake, we didnt catch anything but it might have just been the time of day
Campground was very nice and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. But not much to do, with Covid having so much shutdown.
Very nice, friendly and clean. Only stayed for one night but was very happy and would recommend. Campground caters to seasonal sites and has additional amenities due to that such as game room, nice beach, docks and playground equipment, so great for family and kids. We were there in a week night and was very guiet. I would imagine the weekends to be a bit less peaceful with the seasonal folks there but sounds like the enforce the quiet hours. Very well maintained and would stay again if going through the area.
Every family should come here. All the features if a classic lake side resort. Sites are large. Beautifully maintained and landscaped. Bath Facilities are super clean and updated. One of the best we have stayed. Lots of things for kids to do.
Was here last year and want to visit again this year
It was OK for a night stop. Primarily a seasonal RV Campground. About 6 daily sites. Low hanging trees on your way out of the daily sites. Nice lake. Some rental cabins.
Clean nicely groomed grounds. Facilities are clean. Store has a small offering and Ice. Nice beach with toys, sand castle molds, kayaks, paddle boats and row boats. Owner, Judi, kept everyone informed about the 4th July plans. It would be a 5 however, The price per night was a little high and they change your guests $6 per head to visit. It was however, clean and away from the freeway noise!
Nice, quiet campground. Lake side. Well kept. We will be back.
What an amazing place. We had to have work done on our trailer and were fortunate enough to find Swan Lake Resort to spend 4 nights. The staff is very friendly.
Great Place to stay! everything was great from fishing to the cabin. Family enjoyed everything. We plan on going back often
Great little hideaway that isnt out of the way. Modernized cabins but still very cozy.
Very quiet and quaint place on a beautiful lake. We rented a pontoon for the afternoon. Very serene, and peaceful. The pontoon was older.
Wonderful people and a beautiful, relaxing setting
Nice space for kids. They have activities and have equipment geared towards the youth to keep them busy and entertained. Not a shortage of kid fun. Sandy beach with sand toys, paddle boats, small boats, arcade/game room, playground, and grassy volleyball court. Our daughter really enjoyed playing.Despite the expansive size of the grounds there was a very small restroom with a single shower and two toilets. Which is obviously better then no facilities at all, but very small. Connected to the restroom was a laundry room which houses a single washer and dryer, again better then nothing; however they were dated and the dryer didnt work very well...but eventually got everything clean and dry.The mosquitoes were horrible, but that is not anyones fault, as the rains had been heavy and they were busily hatching. Just made for a frustrating time at night.Judi the owner was nice and walked around checking on everyone pretty frequently, so she was in the know on her property- which is good. I would say the real downfall of this place was the cost for what you received. It was over $50 a day and we had to share a water faucet with our neighbors that was on the other side of their trailer...so was a bit intrusive whenever we wanted to get water. They were super nice people and were fine with us coming over - it was just weird. The bathroom wasnt the cleanest place and like I said wasnt the roomiest. The last thing I wasnt a fan of was that the restroom was located at the furthest location from the tent sites. Which I have seen randomly before, however not the greatest design since the folks in need of them are tenters. We had to pay extra for friends to come visit us in the afternoon...which for the cost of what we paid seemed like a bit much, but that was our own fault for not researching it enough. $6 for each additional person to come visit - even if they were just staying for lunch (3 yrs +).Judi was very nice and she runs a tight ship - so kudos to her. Everyone had a great time and it was a nice stay while we passed through. I would say if you were an RV/Trailer - this is a great place...tents...you may want to make sure you have plenty of mosquito netting and know you will walk a good distance to the restroom while being attached by the little blood suckers.Lastly, the place was pleasantly quiet!
My all time favorite place! Great fishing, great RV spot, great owners that work extremely hard to keep this place beautiful!
Our Family has been going here many years 😊 Always a great time fishing nature cabins & campgrounds are awesome 😊the owners are really nice too😊
Has full hookups, as well as cabins to rent. Kayaks and canoes are free to use. I had a great time here
Great place to vacation! The family who runs it are super helpful and friendly. Nice location and a lot of activities at the resort and nearby.
We had a blast here! Reasonable rates for one day boat rental, and relaxing atmosphere will keep us coming back.
Well kept beach, love hill out of wind, nice playground for kids.
Good price for renting a boat, very nice, big lake. We used the depth finder on the patoon to help see how deep the water was and it dings when fish are in the area, very useful. The patoon has a canopy, but bring sunscreen!
Awesome resort and great owners. We have been coming here over 12 years and love it everytime
A gorgeous campground with everything you need: beach, complimentary boat rentals, drinking water, showers and not to mention an arcade with a lending library! Judi and John are the nicest folks and incredibly accommodating!
A great place for some family summer fun!
Great place to visit
Excellent rv park. The owner very friendly and helpful
Great place owners are great.. lots of seasonal book in advance
Nice fishing lake but needs more water hookups.
This maybe our favorite place to stay
Best vacation ever!
Great place
Very nice family resort.
Love it, make it an annual trip
