I love this place. The environment, atmosphere and everything is relaxing and clean! COVID 19 Precautions are in place. Ive been going to Marias for about 2 years now and she is the absolute BEST! I use to drive all the way to Roswell for my Brazilian waxes and I live 7 min away from Marias but Im so glad I found this place after reading reviews and they are dead on! She has multiple locations but Ive only been to this one and I only see Maria at this location. Maria is professional, kind,, funny and very VERY thorough, she makes you feel very comfortable, eases your mind and the conversation youll have together during waxes make the time go fast and ease your mind off any anxiety you may have. So many services are offered here, Ive never had any bad skin reactions and my skin is very sensitive so thats a plus!She ensures she gets every stand of hair and does a nice aftercare treatment after making everything feel even smoother! Would definitely recommend this establishment!!

Maria is AMAZING!!! The issue I have is her staff Won’t reschedule because I don’t feel well without charging me yet won’t take me sick. If someone wakes up sick during COVID and simply wants to reschedule and you still charge them, that’s a hawtttt mess . Well guess I’ll be taking meds until my appointment today . Let me just say this.. Coco has been the first waxing lady I’ve ever been to at the age of 17! I’m 20 now and still continuously go to her. She’s not just a waxing lady, she’s family! Shes always made my family and I comfortable and safe. She has great communication and honestly cares about you. She’s THE BEST in that whole studio idc! If you want a good wax go to HER!!! Oh and Ashley just because you’re skin was probably sensitive than others doesn’t give you the right to talk down on someone who works very hard. Grow up. Anyways book coco only❤️

I usually go here and go to Kadrienne who does a thorough job and has great customer service. Due to her only being at this location once a week, and me being a customer for awhile, I decided to book someone else today. Veronica was very rude, from the intercom to the time I stepped in the building. I scheduled a full body but it didn’t include what I wanted. Her tone when addressing my concerns was rude and she was very dismissive and nonchalant. By the time I walked in the wax room I ended up walking right back out because why would I spend my money or be comfortable getting naked with someone this rude. Won’t be retuning again unless it’s with Kadrienne. Veronica needs more training on manners and customer service.

I revisited Marias waxing studio a little over a month ago for the second time, honestly because I didnt know about any other waxing studios around my area and it was convenient,, BUT there are better waxing places from what I have experienced recently. I really feel that this place is really about the money. I feel the owner over charges and doesnt treat her employees the best, I havent heard this from them its just the feeling I get. I feel like thats why Alma left, and she was amazing. The owner requires face masks but charges $5 dollars for ONE MASK! Not only that but she only allows I believe 1 or 2 people in the lobby, and I was highly disappointed that my 5 and 7 year old children had to wait outside with their grandmother although LITERALLY NO ONE else was in the whole studio. The wax Honestly does not feel like true sugar wax as its more painful than What Ive experienced a sugar wax to be. Although my waxing technician was very nice and sweet I loved her, that is the only thing that brought my review up to 3 stars. I prefer glowed up skin care by Jana which is a new studio in Fayetteville, It is SO much better. P.s. Also the full body wax did not include removal removal of forearm hair, which I thought was pretty weird, because Alma definitely removed my forearm hair. I just think its crazy you pay over a $100 for a full body wax and your forearms at least are not included, It really sucks to have to go home and wax again or use nair when you was expecting to come out hair less. Although I appreciated my technician (Veronica) I will be switching to glowd up Skincare by Jana as stated above. Her service is truly one to compete with. Sorry, just being honest.

They are extremely rude and unprofessional. They are also very money hungry and disrespectful. Their customer service is trash and I will not be returning. They hung the phone up in my face several times while I was trying to schedule my appointment. And charged me $25 for a “no-show appointment” they claimed I had (which I did not have) in October of last year on top of the $50 Brazilian wax I was trying to schedule that same day. They told me they wouldn’t service me unless I paid the $25 which would’ve come to the total of $75 for a simple Brazilian wax. GARBAGE I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They only want your money.

I received a BRAZILLIAN wax from Mrs.Veronica on March 31,2021. This was about the 5th time Mrs.Veronica has performed her services on me. From the very first time meeting Mrs.Veronica she was professional and was very patient to all my questions and concerns because that was my first wax EVER. She definitely is the reason Im a continuance customer and will not allow anyone else to do my wax. I trust her skills and I feel at ease because of her calming spirit. Mrs.Veronica is a gem and as the Rhianna song goes she shines bright like a diamond.

Was my first time ever getting waxed, GREAT experience. Quick with minimal pain. The woman was very informative, professional, and kind. There were smaller hairs left, but nothing I couldn’t tweeze. 10/10 experience

I went to the Fayetteville location for a sugar wax and v-steam. I have gotten lots of steams in the past at the korean spa and so I was excited to see how this translated into other spas. It was a pleasant experience in a private cool room. I was offered water or wine to drink. I dont know if it makes a difference but I got my steam first. After, I got the chocolate hard wax (instead of sugar). My appointment was scheduled with Maria but Coco did my wax which was no problem as she did an amazing job. There was little pain (which I was surprised because I was overdue by 4 my months). Coco was also very friendly and professional about answering all my questions. I am quite timid about trying new waxing places but no regrets over here. The place is clean, nicely decorated and smells lovely. They have seemed to think of everything in regards to comfort. Nice towels and cloths, wet wipes, quality toilet paper, and feminine products if your on your cycle. I will definitely return here in the future.

(Overdue post by a few weeks) - I found Maria’s business online and was eager to try for a V-Steam. I got the V-Steam for sex drive.The suite is nice & clean. I arrived 10 mins early for my appointment but was taken back 20 mins late. The room was nice & comfortable. However, I’ve had quite a few v-steaks from Koreans & others ... the service was for 45 minutes. Twice, when the assistant came in - she had me stand up to stir the herbs. That interrupted the service plus the temperature wasn’t warm enough.Even so after the service, I went to pay. Online, my service stated $50. The printed material in the suite also confirmed my price. Upon checking out I was charged $60. I asked for clarification especially which printed material confirming the price. The assistant contacted the owner who stated she wasn’t changing the price (although online and in store prices were the same.)As a new customer, I won’t be back due to lack in time of the appointment, interruption during the service, and incorrect pricing.

First time coming here and my experience was wonderful. Ms. Veronica was so nice. She was very knowledgeable, and quick. Will definitely be returning.

I recently moved back to the area, and Ive had to find new people. I searched for hours trying to find a place that had early morning and self appointment scheduling. At 3am, I found the website. I was nervous because I was getting a Brazilian from a complete stranger. When I walked in, it was very relaxing and clean. It was comfortable. my Brazilian was painless. I didnt even flinch. No blood/extremely irritated follicles/or ingrown hairs. She also kept the overall irritation to a minimum. I was extremely impressed by the fact that she completely checked the hairs and skin before doing anything. (Yes she trims before she waxes!) Maria is extremely thorough in her work and Ive never been so impressed with a Waxing that I want to maintain it. This was the best 3am decision that I ever made. Ill definitely be back and maintaining this.

Love love love the service my original wax lady was not available Friday 1/24 so I looked up other spas in the area and saw nothing but great reviews so I decided to give them a call I spoke with Maria over the phone who got me set up for a 11:40a appointment at the Fayetteville location as to where I was already so I went on over at like 11:10 or so I sat down and was talking with another client and she was called back which took about 15 mins top then it was my turn when I tell u Veronica is everything she is everything I was out in like 15 mins considering I was well over due. It was not painful as I thought it would/ should have been I will definitely be back!!!!!

First, I want to start by saying that Maria services are truly unmatched. Last year I decided to get a wax for the first time and I was recommended here by a friend. I booked a wax service with Maria and when I got there she could tell that it was my first time getting a wax. However, she made me very comfortable and relaxed. She talks to you through the whole process and have the nicest personality. Also, her services are very clean and she gets everything (you won’t have to worry about any spots being missed)!! Both locations are amazing and the vibe inside is so soothing. I’ve been booking with her for over a year now and she is truly the only one I let do my waxes. My experience was AMAZING! I came in and got the V-steam and wax. During the steam, i was able to relax and listen to soothing music as the warm steam did its thing :) During the waxing, Maria was friendly and talked me through the process, which made me feel much more comfortable. I would highly recommend checking Maria out. She is friendly and professional, with a sense of humor too.

After speaking to the owner today, I have retracted my previous review. She was very patient and courteous with my complaint. Although the staff failed to inform me of the new late/cancellation fee policy, there was in fact a confirmation email sent out with information about the policy that I failed to see. I genuinely apologize for reacting so swiftly to the situation. She explained the reasons behind the policy and assured me she would reiterate to her staff the importance of informing customers at time of booking. Her professional and understanding demeanor was very refreshing and I will definitely be patronizing her business again.

Customer service needs improvement

The esthetician, Ashley, that did my eyebrows was very nice and personable, but It seemed like it was her first time waxing eyebrows. I made an appointment for eyebrow maintenance which I was told would take 15 minutes, but my appointment lasted an entire HOUR!! I understand she wanted to make sure they were to my liking, but I had to walk her through and literally show her each individual hair that needed to be removed. She also didnt wear gloves. I will be back for a different service because the atmosphere is very nice, but never again for brows. **EDIT: The owner has reached out to me and offered me a free service for my bad experience. She was easy to work with and ensured that this would not happen again in the future. I cannot wait to use my credit towards another service.

I really enjoyed getting my wax at this location. At first I was really nervous but it wasnt as bad said thought it would be and it was fast. I will no longer be shaving & I will definitely be back in four weeks. Im too excited & I feel so smooth ❤️

So i JUST left Maria Waxing Studios, and IDK WHAT these ladies with bad reviews are talking about, but Maria has been my ONLY go-to for YEARS (3 to be exact) and my experience has been AWESOME EVERY time! Even when I had an issue, she (Maria) was amazing in solving it. She has even squeezed me in when she was completely booked (due to unexpected travel) multiple times and she is ALWAYS pleasant. And I dont see any issue with her responding or defending her name and brand, nor did I interpret any response of hers as rude....what I WONT stand for is anyone trying to destroy an amazing womans name, unjustly.KEEP DOING YOU MARIA!

I hate being negative, because the owner is probably a great esthetician. I must write about this though, so that she is aware of the type of people she has working in her establishment. I for sure will never visit again. Anyway, I had a very traumatizing experience here. The esthetician ( Akesha, the Hispanic lady) that did my wax was rude, condescending (insulting me about the length of my hair is certain areas) and very harsh on my skin. She pulled my hair and was not very quick at trying to ease the pain (not holding the skin immediately after each pull). I have a medium tolerance to pain, and almost felt like crying during this procedure. Im almost certain she was frustrated about me being the last client and was ready to go home based on her actions, it almost seemed like she was trying to make me pay for it. I should also mention that she had an attitude when I came in as well, she was mopping upon my arrival, so to me it looked like she was ready to go home. A true professional would know how to conduct themselves though, and treat every client (first to last) as they should be treated, especially when they are paying for you to do a service like this. Its okay though, I have received much better service at more high end places (I only went here as a last minute thing) My money will continue to go to better quality establishments, that treat every client properly. Dont skimp on yourself ladies, you dont deserve to be treated like you dont matter, when you are putting money into their pockets. There are much better places in the Atlanta area, that are relaxing and deserving of the hard earned money that you make. The last place that I was waxed was Organic Wax on North Highland and it was the most pleasant experience, with some of the best quality staff you can find. They were gentle and attentive, not to mention super clean, fresh and professional. I also paid the SAME price. Remember ladies, accept only the best for yourselves. Blessings.
