Amazing team! I had the privilege of working with Eddie as a team leader today. If you move, ask for Eddie! He is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen in my life. I considered myself a hard worker until I saw him today. He never stops moving and can make a square peg fit into a circle hole! Exactly what you need for moving! He is a constant go getter! I live in a three story town home and he ran up and down the stairs like he was a 15 year old kid! His team of Ray, Malek, and Darren were great! They never stopped working. I have worked with other moving companies where the “kids” were on phones and chatting amongst themselves. Not these guys. It’s a job for them! Thomas (the owner) accommodated my last minute move And was happy to do so. The guys wrapped every piece of furniture and all “loose” items. Amazing company! Highly recommended

We recently moved from a single family home to another single family home in the area. My husband had gotten three quotes from more of the well known companies, and based on the positive google reviews, I asked him to get a quote from Tate the Great. They were a much better value, however, I was concerned because I had not ever heard of them. It was the best decision we could have made! I could not be more pleased with the care and service they provided. They fit us into their schedule, and the guys were very careful and top notch. We had a long distance move with large company some years back, and they didnt even light a match to the team of guys that came for this local move. They were on time, professional, and hard working. In fact, because of the hectic day, we hadnt gotten lunch. When I went out to the garage, I noticed my 7 year old sitting with the team (she loved them all by the way) and eating pizza with them. They shared their lunch with her! They even gave some to my husband. They took great care with our furniture, our newly refinished hardwoods, and at the end of a long day, continued to be pleasant and ask if everything was in the right place or if we wanted them to do anything else. I am ecstatic that we found them and used them for our recent move. Moving is stressful, and they made sure it went smoothly. You have people in your personal space and handling your belongings, you want to make sure that they care and are trustworthy. I would highly recommend this company.

The Tate the Great moving crew were true to their company name on both of our moves: GREAT! Great attitudes, great work ethic, great on timeliness, and great to work with! We had a period of time between moves which required storage for most of our household items and furniture. No problem for Tate the Great - they offer affordable storage, too! I highly recommend Tate the Great to anyone who is moving!

Movers were great so we thought. Moving way too quick. So Quick they broke our bed rail that is completely wood and used wood glue to put it back together and now we look closer at our furniture and see our nightstands are damaged... according to my husband the rates arent too bad 160 an hr with a 2 hr minimum plus a 160 destination fee.

Excellent! From start to finish!I gave my deposit, they called to confirm time, showed up when they said, explained all the paperwork ahead of time, had 4 intelligent and strong men with positive attitudes who carefully wrapped and moved everything at a very fast pace then set everything up and were gone.They asked where everything went and made sure I was absolutely satisfied with placement of everything and even moved stuff a couple of times after they already brought it in.All the payment stuff went through exactly as explained with no hitches.I truly cant say enough good about this team and would highly recommend them to anyone! Rate for the weekends Is higher, Like a friendly service showing up at time. The only issue we had was workers dragging their feet when theyre getting paid hourly... If you want the details in who then you should ax but dont assume that it didnt happen just this Friday.. Doesnt matter how long your in business what matters is how the business is conducted

I have personally used Tate the Great 3 times and hired them once for my daughters move and every single time, the experience was outstanding. From scheduling all the way to the delivery, it’s been seamless. Thomas sets the bar high and all that work with him make sure to maintain that standard. I work in the real estate world where you think long and hard before you recommend a company, because if they don’t deliver, it would look bad on me and I would feel terrible if the experience was bad. Tate The Great Moving Company did an awesome job and they are very reasonably priced. A crew of 4 guys showed up right on time to move. They were very careful with my furniture and FAST with packing up the truck. They also did an excellent job when it came to unpacking the truck and furniture placement. Definitely hire them!

We used Tate the Great Moving the first weekend in May for a move in Atlanta. Wow wow wow they were fantastic. The three gentlemen who did our move could not have been more accommodating, professional, and skilled at getting the move right. They even moved heavy items in our new home after we had placed them in the wrong spot the day before. Thomas in the HQ was also fantastic to work with.5 stars all the way around. Could not have been more pleased and will definitely be calling Tate the Great whenever we have another opportunity!

This moving company was amazing. They are worth the slightly higher price than the chain moving companies 100%. This was my first move by myself, and while a small move, they made it so smooth and quick. They were very kind with my stuff and helpful and willing to take whatever I needed them too. If you are within their distance range for a move, I would highly suggest using them!

Dexter and his team did a great job. The six of them worked very well together. My wife and I thought the move was a big one as we moved out of an apartment and two storage units into a 4 BR house. It took 11 hours, and none of the guys ever complained. I wouldnt hesitate using them again.

I contracted Tate the Great Moving Company after a horrific experience with a different mover. I was in a panic and had to get everything handled at the last minute because the other movers left me high and dry and didnt show. Tate was very professional, and assured me the movers would be on time, and that they would handle my move as efficiently and quickly as possible. My move was scheduled at 10am. I received a call at 9:30 stating that they were on the way. The whole crew was there and ready by 9:55am. After signing some paperwork, they got right to work! The foreman Eddie was super awesome and made me feel very comfortable with them moving my things. I would recommend using them for any job large or small hands down!

The BEST in town!!!!!!! The team is extremely knowledgeable of the intricacies of moving and they are fast. This is the best moving company in Georgia, and it is the only one I use. I have used Tate the Great several times over the years and their customer service is always EXCELLENT.

The team all arrived on time and my move was completed earlier than I anticipated. The foreman even got there a few minutes early to get the needed paperwork completed before hand. I was moving from a 3rd floor apartment and extremely happy to have the help. Our move required 4 people given all of the stairs and all 4 movers were extremely polite and respectful. The more experienced members either handled the more difficult tasks themselves or closely supervised/advised the newer one, which eased any worry I had about potential damage to the furniture or property. Tate the Great Moving was fantastic. They took care of all of our furniture and belongings. I was quoted for 6-8 hours to move my house and they were well within their estimate. All they guys were hard working, no issues at all. I would definitely use them again for my next move.

I started using Tate the Great moving back in 2009 when I had to move out of an apartment very quickly, they were able to accomodate 3 days notice and saved me from so much stress!! Ever since then, they have been the ONLY company I call when I move. I have moved 5 times since then and they have moved me everytime. I always feel so comfortable and in great hands with these guys. They are so nice, funny, and make moving a little less stressful than it has to be, not to mention, they are FAST, and they care! I have never had an issue with all 5 of my moves.... so much so that I am moving in a few weeks and are going to be using them again! Love this company.... They take pride in what they do, they make moving WAY less stressful and they take care of their clients! I trust them fully with all of my things. My moves have always gone off without a hitch... Tate the Great provided the poorest moving service that I have ever experienced. They were not timely, had no sense of urgency, and did not seem to have the knowledge professional movers should have. I highly discourage others from using this company.Quality: Tate the Great assures that they will move your things as fast and as carefully as possible. This was absolutely not true. 1 of the 3 men provided embodied this attitude. The foreman of the team seemed like this was his first move ever and took no initiative. He was extremely slow and did not seem to know what he was doing; he also could barely lift heavy items. As an example of his ineptitude, he was unable to disassemble a bed. A professional mover so know how to take a bed apart very quickly. He also spoke later about how he’d been in the truck eating (while I was paying him by the hour).Customer service: Very poor. The movers were not professional and spent a great deal of time talking about their personal lives, such as their 1099s, their lunch, etc. I realize people like to visit, but when someone is paying you by the hour, be respectful of time.Timeliness: The movers were 45 minutes late due to a paperwork error. I would have been willing to look past the tardiness had the movers provided high-quality work. They did not. When the foreman arrived, he predicted 3 hours to complete the move. It took 6.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment less than 1 mile down the road. There was some walking involved, but I feel certain at least 2 hours could have been shaved off the time had the workers not been checking their cell phones on their walks to and from the moving truck. Unacceptable and unprofessional. By the end, I and two other adults were working harder than the moving company. It should not take 6 adults 6.5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment.It is egregious that it took so long for my move to occur. This is a terrible company and I will be discouraging online users from using Tate the Great Moving. People pay $105/hour to get professional movers who know what they are doing and will take charge. Tate the Great did neither of these things.
