This is an awesome place, the individuals here are very welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. They treat everyone with dignity and respect, and actually care. These type of programs and/or people are hard to find especially in Cumberland County, NC. We need more people and place with this caliber of treatment and professionalism. Thankyou to Shine Light, and Thankyou to Ms.Nikki for all that you do.

I am very happy with the care my son receives with ShineLIght Services. Staff is friendly and management attentive to any questions or concerns I might have. Matt has known many of these wonderful people for years, and he is treated like family.

ShineLight has served my son since 2005. I honestly dont know what kind of future my son would have had without them. He has severe Autism and ShineLight never gave up on him. They always made a way for him when others didnt. They provide a safe and happy home for him and his housemates ( which he has lived with for 15 yrs) and they are his brothers, his family. One of the things Nikki, Tanisha and all the staff do is take the guys to the beach. They go to the pool, swim in the ocean, go shopping at the outlets and go out to eat! They love it and I love them! Thank you God for bringing them into our lives 🙏♥️

I have been working at Shine Light for about a year and a half. Working with the individuals and this company has helped me grow so much more as an individual and a worker. This company is much more than just your average group home we are family. We work together and find ways not only to help each other but help the individuals grow. The management staff Is very helpful and are constantly finding ways to better the company. I went from being a DSP worker to lead staff within a year. They work with my school schedule as well as personal schedule if things happen to come up. You don’t get that often when working in this field.

I never leave reviews for places because everyone has their own opinions and experiences. However in this case, I felt as if it was necessary.I have no complaints for the actual staff that works with the patients directly. They work in the group homes and are so sweet and hard workers. The administration or managerial staff however, is absolutely terrible. They come into the group homes and yell to the staff members (which is immature and I’m sure scares the patients), abusive to patients (not exaggerating) and overall unethical. They seem caring to the patients families but don’t let that fool you. Most don’t see what goes on behind closed doors except for the staff. So I hope this can help someone’s loved one from being mistreated.😒 If they had better management they would be a 5 star organization.

Shinelight is such a wonderful organization that advocates and helps families with autistic children. The staff has been a godsend to me and my son, Matthew. They care for him like their own and I could not be more appreciative.

Very unprofessional staff. Everyone had such great reviews about this organization, but they treated my grandson terribly. They have no clue how to support autism.0 stars if possible.

This is a big, old, historic home thats been refurbished into an office building. This company assists the Autistic Community with housing, employment, therapy and other community resources to aide them in becoming independent, self-sufficient, productive members of society. They have an entire network of Drs, nurses, therapists, caregivers, business owners, & volunteers whose sole mission statement is to help people on the Autistic spectrum overcome the many obstacles they encounter on a daily basis.
