Took my money next business day after on-line order, No email confirmation, No Tracking provided, they do Not answer phone or return messages, now 9 days after order I have nothing and they have my $.Worst customer service experience EVER!UPDATE: The package did arrive 12 Days after order placement and ironically an e-mail with the tracking number a day after delivery. Items were original and meet my requirements.Lesson: Search google for reviews and carefully read them. The Star counter at Universal Mania misrepresents the Hugh number of negative reviews I found on google.

BUYER BEWARE!! Do not order from this site if you actually want to receive your item.NO response to emails... they do not answer when you call. They have no problem charging our credit card though. Most companies do not charge until the item has shipped. Apparently the Google reviews are fake. Had I known what a scam UM is I wouldnt have ordered from them.

No update on the phone answering tree stating the offices are closed, on vacation, gone out of business - NOTHING!!!Using the dial by name directory I left a message for EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE COMPANY regarding my concerns - NOT A SINGLE RESPONSE - no call, no email, no apology. HOW CAN A BUSINESS HAVE SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND STAY IN BUSINESS IN THE DIGITAL AGE.Due to the lack of response I have had to dispute the $144 worth of charges with my bank for an item I ordered but was never shipped. Look at the BBB report, I had a very good shopping experience in May of 2016. Things might have changed since then.On May 3, 2017 the Kurt Michael Krol, President of Universal Mania, Inc, was sentenced to 72 months imprisonment, followed by 3 years of supervised release. Mr. Krol was charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods.
They are lucky they even get one star. They dont deserve any stars. Worst customer service. I order a light and got the 3-5 day shipping. It took these guys 2 full days to process my order and by then it was past their 3-5 day shipping so I had to wait over the weekend and the package didnt show up until Wednesday. These guys are absolutely horrible. Do not waste your time ordering from these clowns.
I was able to find a trolling motor the length that I needed at a very good price. This was the only place I can find a trolling motor with the shaft length that I needed without special ordering, and the price was better than anywhere else I found.

Placed an order and received their email that it had shipped. Waited a few days and went to track it but no tracking info was available. I emailed them and they said they had done an inquiry with the carrier and would send more info shortly, which they never did. I left a voice mail with the person that sent the email and got no response/call back. I finally sent another email and they finally responded saying they had refunded my order. They blamed it on UPS and said they didnt have any more in stock, which I dont exactly believe. No sorry for your trouble or anything. So 10 business days later and no better off than I was before. If I had ordered from someone else I would have had the item by now. I would avoid these guys.
By far the worst company I have ever done business with. Ordered a buttstock almost 4 weeks ago and was told it would be by Christmas and it isnt. I was looking to purchase a sonar unit, and I contacted James Metz the sales manager through a forum asking him some questions about the differences in units. I am also from a Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - a long way from North Carolina. I cant possibly think James would have thought this was a high quality lead, but he helped me out very nicely answered my questions, and was just generally a grade A dude.Shipped quickly and I got my Humminbird 999 SI a short few days later. Wish I could give zero stars. Ordered a quad rail and was charged accordingly. Website said free shipping to the continental United States and as I live in N.C. (Same state as the store), I was still charged shipping. Tried to contact the company via phone and email in regards to the shipping and never got anyone to answer or a email response. Waitied a week and my order never shipped when it was supposed to have already been shipped. Went through my bank to file a dispute and after researching and finding out the former CEO was sent to prison, I filed a complaint with BBB and FTC. THEN FINALLY after they received my BBB complaint the refunded me full cost. Shady businessALSO when I went to their website to search for my order it said the order was unable to be found. SHADY
They used to be better with communications, but recently they have been dropping the ball. They do tend to have competitive advertised prices, but if there is a problem with delivery, or the wrong item is sent, good luck getting your $ back. Use PayPal with them if you have to try, so that you can use PPs resolution center when and if things go sour. Buyer beware.

Do they doctor their Google ratings? Every other rating system has them at 1 star. These people have not so much as gotten around to ship my items since I placed my order over a week ago. My purchase was small, but many complaints from other folks online for more substantial purchases.
Are you ready to play the odds? Looks like some people win and some lose with these guys. I ordered a Promariner converter for an upcoming camping trip. They charged my card the same day but the item arrived almost two weeks later. My trip had come and gone by then. I thought I would install it later but changed my mind. When I contacted them for a return they told me I was outside of the return window (by a couple of days). Talk about a double standard! Now Im stuck with an item I do not need. Anyone want to buy a converter new in box?
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!! This company will not answer any phone calls. I received an E-mail from the CEO and when I questioned him about where my order was he shrugged it off like its being reviewed. Im currently having to deal with my credit card company to get my money back.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAUGE. I would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order over 1 month ago, the product was in stock. I have not received a shipment notification, replies to my emails to their customer service address, nor have my multiple phone calls to their service line gotten answered. As far as Im concerned, this isnt even a real company.I have thankfully gotten my money back through a PayPal dispute. I would recommend NOT using these guys, regardless of the deal you see. Horrible customer service now. They instantly billed my debit card for $262.48 for an order and have not shipped my items. They also do not respond to any form of communication. When you call you select the department then the recoding says, an associate will be right with you then after a few minutes, it hangs up. This happened 9-10 times the first day, one option on returns you can leave a VM. I have sent at least 15-20 emails asking to just contact me. After the first day I no longer get any replies at all, guess they blocked them...I would take the product if I could just simply get ahold of someone via email or phone.Another 7 days and nothing. Ordered my Minn Kota MKA-47 Monday and its here Thursday. Fast shipping great price. I received a thank you email and detailed shipping info. Only negitive is box was tore open but my item was fine. I wish I could give negative 5 stars. Please please read the reviews before purchasing anything from this company. today is Sept 19, we ordered a product back in July, we received the product July 27th and noticed that the incorrect item was ordered, I called the next day July 28th and spoke with Alexus she was very helpful that day and a couple days afterwards. She told me that someone would be in touch with me to give me an RA number. I waited a week and had no response, so I emailed Alexus back to see if there was a hold up on the returns department getting to me. A week later there was no reaponse from the email I sent, so I sent an email to their support email. Both my husband and I got phone calls and emails that day with the RA # and return instructions. At this point it is now the end of August. I was told to ship it back and when the tracking showed delivered to call her and we would get the correct product ordered. My tracking showed delivered on Sept 11, so I called and left her a voicemail, with no response YET AGAIN, I sent another email to the support asking to speak with a manger, I sent this email on Sept 15th. I gave them a few days to respond and never got one. Today I figured what the heck, Ill call the sales line, I bet someone answers that, low and behold Alexus answered the phone, she didnt sound too happy to hear that it was me. I got most of my refund back, or at least got an email that says a refund is in the process. Do not order from this company. Worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Also read their other reviews, they pretty much all say the same thing.
Slightly worried ordering from unknown sender, but their prices were too alluring. Ordered my Minn Kota power drive with ipilot over the weekend (order processed on Monday) and the motor just showed up at my door today (Thursday) fully intact and in good shape. Very happy with experience, but if I were to find any fault it would be in packaging; would like to see extra protection than Minn Kotas standard box--no foam, padding or anything, just the cardboard protection and box. But like I said, mine did arrive with no issues whatsoever and I absolutely would/will order from them again--assuming they dont raise their prices;).
I purchased an item from Universal Mania for a job over a week ago. I needed the part before the job could start and based on the information on the website and phone calls I decided to purchase from them. Unfortunately this was a bad idea. I waited over the weekend to get a tracking number and none arrived in my inbox. I gave James the supervisor a call and he told me that it had shipped yesterday and was waiting to get an update about the tracking number. I was a little upset that it had not shipped sooner but it was still going to arrive on time. I got a call back from him and he said it was now under back order status with no idea on a time it would be back in stock. I asked for any other similar products but James was not helpful about the situation at all. I hope they refund the money I paid for it but based on the experience I have had so far I may have to call the credit card company.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. Maybe they just suck. Hard. But the way they show positive reviews on their site, even those aggregated from sites that clearly have an average of 0-1 stars, really makes me think these folks are out to scam people.My item was listed in stock (14 remaining) when I purchased then I was notified it was out of stock (6 remaining) and unable to ship. They would not give me an ETA (I figure it would have been past the charge-back window) so I asked to cancel. From there, silence. The only communications I received was a thank you email asking me to rate them, before anything happened, and another communication saying the item was out of stock with not ETA on shipping. I followed up half a dozen times over two weeks then ended up doing a charge back like almost everyone else here. If you decide to roll the dice on Universal Mania, make sure you do so with a credit card.

I ordered a new knife. They charged my credit card on 9/25/17. As of 10/11/17, no shipping, no item, and they will not answer the phone or emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I filed a dispute with my CC and filed a complaint with the BBB.
