This law office is a scam. Im the opposing party of someone Mrs. Carthens is representing for a custody case. I received paperwork in the mail breaking down joint custody rights but was never given a court date so that I could attend the hearing! I went to the court house to dispute the claim and to question the fact I never received paperwork with a court date. They then told me that Mrs. Catherine was responsible of making sure I received the court date and basically it was nothing more they could do! The Court adminstrator also tell me that the original Court date had been postpone to a further date but Mrs. Catherine also fail to notify me of the new court date as well! As a result, I make a visit to her law firm office to ask for documentation or some sort of proof where they had mail the notice and they was unable to provide proof! Im a single mother and primary custodial parent for my daughter! Never in a million years, would I have missed these court dates! Moral of the story, shes a fraud and obviously will do anything to win a caseTo respond to you message below:I never ask for your advice!! I was not properly served! The only documentation I was served with was when my childs father started the custody battle and I was given notice by a officer. There was never a court date on that paperwork. Not only did you not properly notify me but the original court date was postpone and according to the courthouse you were responsible for making sure the opposing party received that notice! You have fail to do and yes I will consult with an attorney!
