Since moving here from North Carolina 5 years ago, GCM Computers has helped me many times and in such a professional and timely manner. As a senior citizen, some computer issues are just beyond my abilities to fix.I now depend on the GCM Computers staff for many things that I cant fix or comprehend. Extremely pleased with service. Response time excellent, same day with initial visit the following day. Sam is very efficient and knowledgeable. In addition, he is patient and has the gift of explaining things in a manner easy to understand. Service provided was updating from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and transferring all information to new computer. Very good results!! Very good customer service!!!

I have been a customer for years at GCM. Recently had to take a Mac Mini down due to processing slow. I was called within a day to let me know my hard drive was failing. They replaced the hard drive and I received my computer back within 4 days. Thank you Gary for taking good care of me and a thank you to Barton for making it perfect once again. We needed help with several small computer/technical issues in our home (Computer, TV, SONOS, etc). Sam patiently took the time to show & explain to us how he was fixing the problems. With the info he passed on, we were able to reduce our cable/internet bill by $80/month without losing a thing AND we now have our SONOS playing throughout the house. Thanks!!

First rate service!! GCM has helped me on several problems regarding various software programs. Each time, the service reps have accessed my computer remotely and were able to quickly fix the problems. The service charges were reasonable. The service reps were very friendly and extremely competent. I am extremely pleased with their service and will recommend them to anyone needing computer assistance.

GCM Computers has provided top notch care of our computers, maintaining and supporting our network, and supporting our mobile phone/personal devices problems for the last ten years.They provide quality service, not just to one, but to five different locations. They are important support for our computers and network (which are critical aspects necessary for our business).I like that fact that more than one person can help with troubleshooting in resolving our technology problems, and they are adept at their work. GCM’s remote support also saves us valuable funding, not to mention the indirect costs associated with reduced server and computer down time.I have worked with most of the GCM team and would recommend this company for hardware and networking support.

In the year 1979, my husband and I were in Saudi Arabia on teaching positions..I am telling you this because that was my first experience with a so called, COMPUTER..it was called a Zebra, but was nothing but a screen sitting alone, and a box at the side of the screen that housed all the working parts.When we came home in 1986, we had a bit more experience, but not in the classroom..some in the offices, but very very few. It wasnt that common at that time. YET....Since that time I have learned to operate a computer very well, until all the virus and the technology problems evolved,...it was all beginning to go over wayyyy over my head..I can say this because my main interest was genealogy.. I dont have to tell you what that means in the way of research..I had worked on some kind of desktop and its understanding, all these years..but my desktop days were all over..When Cris came to my house to find out what I needed, I showed him the three machines..a MAC, A LENOVO DESK TOP AND A WINDOWS LAPTOP..My daughter wanted me to buy a MAC since she said they were ever so much easier.. I was not convinced..My second choice was to combine the three since ALL had genealogy files..esp the older ones..Chris said he could do that..but with the Mac, they were bit trickier to get around with files..He decided it might take a while so took all machines to his shop.. he returned them a week later, but with a decision I would have to make..It seems the old desktop would soon crash, but was still useable, it was up to me..My only question was, could all the files be transferred to the Mac and the laptop.. he said sure.. that way I would not lose all those files if it did crash..After all that, the first big difference was working totally without any sort of box on the desk or separate keyboard, nothing needed anywhere.But i am learning..thanks to Cris..He is the reason I am writing..He knew my understanding was based on older machines..he also had a good enough heart to arrange things where I would know where to find them..Anything that need a little extra bit of explanation, he would very quietly and slowly explain it to my senior understanding.He finished yesterday,,and i felt so relieved knowing he not only sharpened up my ability to work with the two machines, but he also downloaded the Virus protection..as you can imagine, I have used every virus protection program available..until just this week.!!In you remember, in the early 2000s there were huge outbreaks of virus messing up machines all over the world.. It was so rampant, my group of genealogists had to stop communicating since all we were doing was sending i to each other..When we began again we all had a virus protection, however all of us had lost much in the way of research .I lost several hundred pages.. some remained however.My advice to you, since you helped me so much, I want to help you.. if per chance a senior person is running into trouble, send Chris..he was so good, and so much help, so kind to understand just, that maybe just a little more patience and kindness, might work..I just wanted to share him with other seniors..He understands us...!!Sue Philipak

I BEGAN WORKING WITH HIM FOLLOWING A SHIFT IN THE CELLS OF A DATA BASE PROGRAM. LONG STORY SHORT, THE PROBLEM WAS EXTENSIVE; INVOLVING OVER SIX THOUSAND ENTRIES. HE UNDERSTOOD THE PROBLEM, SORTED IT OUT, MADE THE REPAIRS, THEN INSTRUCTED ME CONCERNING PROPER USE OF THE PROGRAM.BARTON, UNSOLICITED, HAS OBSERVED THE WAY IN WHICH I MANAGE USE OF VARIOUS SECURITY, STORAGE, OR OPERATING PROGRAMS, AND SHOULD HE OBSERVE A MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE METHOD, HE SUGGESTS HOW IT MAY BE ACCOMPLISHED, THEN OFFERS INSTRUCTION.MY NEEDS ARE UNIQUE IN THAT I DEAL PRIMARILY WITH IMAGERY WHICH NEEDS TO BE CATEGORIZED, VISUALLY ENHANCED, THEN SORTED, AND STORED. I had them install a server and VPN routers, four days after they were complete the server crashed on a Sunday, the server that ran both of my locations, I called them and emailed and I finally received a email back on Wednesday. With out the server I could not process any transactions so I had to go to best buy and have the geek squad help me and eventually got it to work after spending over $1000. The lady that handles there billing is also very unprofessional, calling my employees and using vulgar language. Would not recommend for anyone.
