We contacted this company and were given a consultation date after telling them we were paying out of pocket cost. Less than 24 hours prior to consultation date/time, we received a call from the company stating they could not complete a free consultation because the payment would not be through an insurance company. We asked if there was a fee for consultation, we could pay that. We were told that based on our information they would not work with us as self-pay customers, only INSURANCE PAY CUSTOMERS. We asked for an explanation of why they could not provide us with an estimated cost receipt and were told this has nothing to do with if you can pay. This was stated again after explaining that we had the money to make any household repairs. This is very unprofessional for a restoration company and gave us little time to find another company to fix our bathroom. Customer Services was poor and uninformed.Update:Issue has been resolved. Thank you for following through to complete a consultation.

I had the worst experience with this company I do not recommend them.

Highland Construction Companys staff were great to work with. My repairs were completed and I am very pleased and happy with the work completed by one of your crews. They were phenomenal!!I have to say by far this has been a great experience starting first with Cody and Cain who came and completed the emergency board up of a window after my home was burglarized. Both of them were friendly, professional and compassionate.  I then encountered Connie at your office who provided great customer service and was very helpful and then spoke with Linda who connected me with Garrett who was the project manager. Both of them, Linda and Garrett, were knowledgeable, supportive and helpful and provided great customer service during this time period. As the project manager, Garrett explained the process, answered questions and dropped in to see the progress and bring supplies. He represented Highland well. I even had the opportunity to meet Chad who came to bring paperwork for me to sign for the emergency boarding and he was very pleasant and cordial and represented your company very well. Angie and Jason came to do the estimate and once again, they were both very professional and they were very kind to me as they completed the estimate on the areas that needed to be repaired. Thank you Highland Construction Company for having such a great team of professional people who knew how to come in at a time when a family had a crisis to bring support, information and to provide the overall human touch to that situation!!

SAVE YOURSELVES SOME HEADACHE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

On 19 May 2020 I had a Oak Tree fall on my house. Highland was very responsive and did a great job in the initial and following stages of the work right up until completion. The estimator Angie was absolutely wonderful and very helpful through the whole process. The project Manager Patrick did a great job from the start, and up to the finish line. Patrick was very responsive and addressed every question I had in a timely manner and was great to work with. The subcontractors used by Highland did a absolutely wonderful job.The Framer who repaired the Truss in my roof Bill was very good to work with and does quality work. He went above and beyond doing his job not only repairing the Truss but in repairing the facia board and soffit as well. Great crew!Kent and Joe Brock of Brock heating and air did all of the inside repairs on my house. Painting, dry wall, and window replacement. Kent and Joe are awesome folks and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly! They are two of the best people to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs repairs done to their home or business, it would be hard to find better. I would also like to add, that they had to remove the siding on my gabled end over my garage to replace the window. They did a very good job. When they replaced it they made sure everything was correct and paid attention to the details. I could not be happier! Again a great Company!Tile with Style replaced my kitchen floor ceramic tile. That crew did a great job in a timely manner and were wonderful to work with. If anyone needs flooring done I highly recommend them.Danny Reyes of Rubi walls and Home Improvement and his crew did all of the painting on the outside of my home. They did an excellent job and constantly went around checking to make sure nothing was missed. I am very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone needing painting or home improvement to anyone. Just a great bunch of people.Breath of spring Cleaning run by Heidi Snyder did a wonderful job cleaning up my house! They came in and completely cleaned the dust out of the house from all of the work and made it sparkle. When they were done my house would have passed a military inspection!In closing I would like to say the people and sub-contractors I worked with from Highland were AWESOME! You could not ask for a better group of folks to have work on your Home. All of them went above and beyond to make sure everything was correct! Thank you to all of the subcontractors and to Highland for a job well done!

My home sustained moderate water damage from a water heater. Highland was there the next day with fans and removal of wet dry wall. I was very pleased concerning the outcome of repairs and renovations that were done to my home .Johnathan Conner was assigned the project manager and performed an outstanding job, whenever there was an issue he was available to solve the problem. I highly recommend Highland Construction and will use them in the future.

I just wanted to let you know what wonderful job Greg did with handling the construction project at our home. I am glad I decided to go with Highland Construction for my home repair. Greg was excellent in communicating with me about the repairs. I also like the fact that he always did what he said he was going to do, whether it was a follow up with a repair, getting the answer to a question, or simply addressing a concern. I was also impressed with how Greg conducted several walk-throughs to ensure the job was going smoothly and stayed on schedule. Working with Highland Construction, the contractor, and Greg as the Project Manager has been a very positive experience. I will certainly use Highland Construction in the future for my home repairs.

Highland Construction was absolutely great to work with! We are 2500 miles away from our rental. It had a flood when the last renter vacated the property. Our insurance worked directly with Highland Construction, and the Highland Construction team kept us all up to date at every step in the process of getting our house repaired. They worked well with our insurance company to relay all necessary information back and forth through the process. The staff was easy to contact, and they returned calls promptly. I would recommend this company to anyone in the area. Not a single stressful moment once they got into the picture.

We had a new roof installed and painting inside the house. The roof was done quickly and well. Our painters, Nick and Jimmy, did a fantastic job. The painting looked great and they cleaned up very well.

Hand down the worst company to do business with. I had a insurance claim for my entire kitchen to be taken out and replaced due to water damage. The job was supposed to be six weeks. It ended up taking eight months and I think the only reason it ever got finished was because I threatened to not give them the last payment and hire another company. My kitchen is finally finished but by no means am I happy about the quality of work that was done in my home.

They had what I needed!

The house was damaged by a lightening strike in August 2019. It is now April 1, 2029 and I am still not in the house. It has been a literal nightmare. Terrible quality and terrible time management. Three new houses could have been built in that time.Their pricing was fuzzy and kept from me. Rip off

Highland construction employees were prompt and very courteous. There were three separate teams. The project manager explained the costs. Teams came prepared to work, and they cleaned up after themselves. I will use Highland construction again.

I had a great experience working with Angel from Highland Construction. He was super helpful and I truly trusted he had all of our best interests in mind. Our insurance claim was for a new roof and replacement of cracked windows due to wind damage. Insurance originally only wanted to pay for about 90% of the roof - Angel really helped us fight for a full 100% replacement as we knew the shingles wouldnt match or look right. We discussed upgrading shingles and he explained the pros/cons and we were able to make a well educated decision before moving forward. The teams who did the roof work and window replacements were very friendly and worked quickly and came on time and when scheduled. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because the roofers left some trash behind - not much but enough to be a little frustrating. I made Angel aware of it and he promised to address it with them to avoid future frustrations for other customers. But this wouldnt stop me from using them again!

Highland Construction are superior in their field. From Kenny, Johnny, Bill, Tammy and the girls in the front office they always went above and beyond. They restored two bathrooms to look brand new for me; which looked remarkable at completion. Yesterday they just finished my kitchen flooring and everything. Each and every detail they handled it with ease. When leaving always cleaned up after themselves. Would not think of ever using anyone else. Many thanks again for the superior service!!!

Patrick was excellent in coordinating and following up with us regarding our repairs through USAA. The subcontractors were polite and did a great job. They even arranged someone to be present when we werent home to let sub contractors do work so our work schedule wasnt interrupted.

Im coming back to review. The company did repairs for me a few years back. I had a leak from outside around my fireplace chimney maybe? They added sealant around the roof. And I also had the fireplace surround done with marble and the mantle was supposed to be painted white. It was never painted and I still have a leak. I can only say I will never use them again.

Came out did a wonderful job deconstructing my home after water damages. Now Im having a hard time getting it all out back together. Im highly disappointed!

Our insurance company assigned this company to access damage from a water issue. They asked for our deductible up front before even coming out and taking a look.Bad business practice if you ask me. We called our insurance company back and they were surprised and stated that should not happen. We are looking elsewhere.

Ive used Highland multiple times over approximately 15 years, for emergency repairs/restoration and home renovations. They most recently completely renovated my den/kitchen, making it a large open-concept area and adding a fireplace, all within the estimated timeline of 6 weeks. Its absolutely beautiful and has brought me so much joy over the last year. I highly recommend Highland Construction & Restoration!!!

I think it’s more the sub contractors I’m concerned about. I had a flood in my apartment and it’s been over a month and nothing but the baseboards were replaced so far. The painters will come in and leave and leave the baseboards they are not using on my furniture and on my balcony. The carpet guy came in and didn’t even think to bring tact strips with him to put the carpet in and then didn’t even know that my master bedroom (where the leak took place) needed to have carpet put in. And then to make matters worse they ordered the wrong colored carpet so that is just another thing that will be prolonged. This is my first experience dealing with highland and so far I’m not pleased. I understand things take time but I feel my apartment could be further along if the communication with the sub contractors was a little better.

My experience was horrible. They cost 2x a much as any other company. They try to strong arm me into work while I was 7 months pregnant with twins and my husband was gone in the military. Also, many of the reviews here are employees!

I called them to ask about flooring and they were very informative very helpful and also to also said I could come by the showroom on Clinton Road Fayetteville North Carolina and check out their displays and their stock that they have for sale very friendly very nice very polite

First rate service from start to finish. My insurance company recommended this company and I am satisfied with their work. Started and completed the job on time.

My insurance company called out Highland Construction to do the mitigation from my ice maker leaking. Highland came to my home in a timely matter and told me they will take care of the dry out. Well They ripped up my floors and destroyed my free flowing tile. they pulled my cabinets out my house and left them in my driveway for 5 months (May-Oct). My cabinets had mold and bugs all over them. they took my granite and laid them on my sub floor on plastic which ended up cracking it all the way through in two places. There was no communication on what was going on. I never went through something like this so i didnt know what to expect.

Weve used Highland Construction for many years and they have always done a great job for us. I highly recommend them.

We used Highland for a restoration and remediation project through a program USAA insurance provides. We had a slow leak in the wall from plumbing going to our Hot Water Heater. Knowing that they were on the approved list for USAA did provide some piece of mind. We worked with a knowledgeable and organized Project Manager. He scheduled all of the repair and subcontractor work for us and communicated it with us clearly. I’m impressed by their ability to work through scheduling issues and also with the way they make the process simple. Thank you Garrett for helping us get through our restoration. Also, thank you for the remediation team for getting us right before the restoration.

For reliable, quality, & dependable work this is the company to call. Two generations of experience plus family owned and operated makes for a great combination for their customers.

Great people and service!

Save your time and money. They use cheap sub contractors (and cheat them out of money) and you end up paying top dollar for poor quality work that takes months to complete. They especially take advantage of insurance claims.
