The only real normal modern barber shop near bragg. Everything else is too barber shoppy.

Mack was terrible. Aside from not listening to my request for how I wanted my haircut she also proceeded to cut half of my hair and leaving the other half jacked up and uncut. All the other workers are amazing and highly recommended. But I would never in 1,000 years ever recommend anyone go to Savages if Mack is the only stylist working.

I had an appt @ 12 noon. Got my 👁brows done. So accommodating...clean and the team is Experienced. Love anywhere you have music. Totally a great appt.

After waiting for 45 minutes with my daughter and sonto get their haircut before school starts tomorrow, the lady tells me that she cannot cut my daughters hair because she doesnt know how and neither does anyone else working. I put into waiting list my daughters name and I thought it was you getting a haircut! I cant cut a girls hair! They offered nothing in return but attitude.

They do a good job giving you the haircut that you ask for, it is just that the wait is so long. Only go if you have quite a bit of free time on your hands, I think well be looking elsewhere, or at least making an appointment from here on out. 2 hour wait!

Great place, clean, friendly staff, but they don’t know how to fade. Been here multiple times, different ladies and multiple times my haircuts been disappointing.

I feel like if you want anything other than a medium skin fade the stylists lose their mind. I understand it’s a military town but they should be able to do more than two styles. Every time I go there it’s consistently more disappointing than the last time. I will never go back there

Drove an HOUR to get my haircut from you guys because I like your cuts. Wait an additional 90 minutes in the back. You call my name, let some other guy sit in the chair, and tell me you already started. Thanks for nothing.

Came here Saturday evening, 30 mins before closing. With 2 people in front of me, they did not turn me away rather greeted me and told me to have a seat and enjoy their free beer on tap. I gotta give a shout out to Dorothy because she not only stayed after hours to cut my hair, she is an energetic good vibing person that makes you feel like family within minutes of talking. She killed it with a medium fade, and I would definitely recommend going to see her.

First they give you free beer. Then they cut your hair really well. Ask for Dorothy. Shes the first barber Ive had that could tame my cowlicks and give a stylish haircut at the same time.

10/10. I came in for a walk-in appointment and Dorothy sat me down for what would be one of the best haircuts I’ve ever been given. A good barber is hard to find and Dorothy was quite the pleasant surprise; professional, conversational and most importantly, excellent at her job. Simply put, poor haircut.Around each ear is a different length and there are hairs remaining.Bangs are cut opposite, the comb over side is shorter than the other.The sides of my heard are cut to different l And the hard part is cut to an angle not straight back.Lastly for a shop targeting military people and men in their twenties and thirties the music was absolutely terrible. 90s r&b music does not match the theme or clientele at all.

Called ahead was told to come on in didnt need an appointment. When I got there it was an hour wait. Fugetaboudit.

Asked for a temp fade and line up even showed picture of what I wanted and what I received was a pushed back line up and where the fade was supposed to be was just bald...... if you are African American I highly recommend you never get a haircut here.

Extremely good work from every barber. Unlike most barber shops that only have one or two good barbers. Savages has all good, quality, professional barbers who give great cuts.

This is an awesome barber shop. They have the most skilled workers I’ve seen around the bragg area. I’ve always gotten a super clean cut here. They are my go to. I highly recommend for everyone to check it out! Great relaxed atmosphere and you can pour yourself a free beer while you wait.

Im very, very picky about who Ill let touch the hair Ive got left. Ive been scheduling appointments with ren here for two years and shes gotten it just right every time. If you dont want to wait, you have to call a few days in advance or youll have to sit through the appointments - but if youd like an actual hair cut, then its well worth waiting for. I dont go anywhere else in town, and I dont generally leave public reviews.

Cant give 5 stars... Cant play pool with broken cue sticks... Free beer though and good prices

Atmosphere is awesome! Wait time isn’t bad at all when it comes to the free beer and pool tables. When it comes to getting a great haircut Rebecca is one of the best! All barbers are awesome and great at what they do. Your in a win win either way when it comes to getting a great haircut. Greeted right away when you walk in. Feel welcomed and feel fresh.

Went in for a haircut and was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Hardly waited five minutes before I was helped, the stylist here are very friendly and talented and the prices are reasonable. Ive been going to savages for almost a year. They generally do very good work but today I got a haircut where the barber went too high around my ears. So i called in to see if she could fix it and she told me no there wasnt anything she could do and that I should have told her. I definitely wont be coming back to here in the future. Didnt even offer to take a look at it.Edited this because i contacted the manager of the barbershop and she fixed my hair free of charge and it looks great now.

They just let people cut in front of you if they know them, I waited there since before they opened and then they just let other people go in front of me and my son because they knew them. Its not just their fault, but also their inconsiderate clients that think they deserve special treatment. Disappointed.

Great place to get a haircut! All the employees are polite and very welcoming. Even if you have to wait a little while you can sit and relax with a beer or 2. My barber Ren always has a smile on her face and is amazing at what she does. I am never disappointed when walking out of the shop. If you’re looking for a barber shop that doesn’t charge you an arm and a leg and still gives you an amazing haircut, I would recommend savages.

Went here because the reviews were good. When I got there the place looked cool and it seemed that they were legit, but was disappointed. I asked for a simple low shadow fade came out with anything but that [will probably never come back again].

Disappointed, I was looking forward to visit this place for the first time but I was completely let down. The place sure is nice but the haircut felt rushed and wasnt exactly what I asked for. Amazing staff, amazing hair cuts and an amazing environment. Since Ive been to North Carolina, I havent gotten my hair cut anywhere else. A few months ago they hired new employees, and when they did they made a perfect selection of stylist/barbers. I dont plan on getting my hair cut from anywhere else.Jasmine and Maddie are always my Go To all of the stylist are perfect for the job, Ive just knows these two longer.-Tony

Without a doubt the best place to get a haircut in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area. A lot of the places around here will give you a decent haircut, but the people here will know what you want and will give you exactly that. Jasmine did an awesome job and styled my hair in a way that I had never thought to try that looked great!

I have been twice and have been disappointed twice. Displays is on par with any other place on yadkin. If you want a haircut like you just came out of basic training then they will do a great job for you Im sure. If you want anything besides a high and tight you are running the gambit.

My experience at Savages was phenomenal; my Barber was Rebecca. She was able to cut my hair the way I liked it even though I was not clear and concise. She was very chill and made my whole time there very relaxed and was very informative about how to get the results I wanted with my hair. Will comeback for sure!

Kelsey is amazing she’s the only person I have found that can cut my son’s hair and make it look as good, if not better than it was while living in Germany. No nonsense in and out!

I really wanted to love it as before we pcsd we were going to a similar barber shop. After waiting over an hr.. maybe two, (it didnt bother me, they were busy) my son and my husband finally got their hair cut. My son has been getting his cut the same for about a yr now. He sat very well and we showed her how we get his hair cut. It doesnt even look like she cut anything off, its uneven, patched. I couldnt tell til we got outside. Very unhappy and not worth the wait and $15! I would give a 1 but she was super nice so there ya go. Picture attached

Ashely gave me a pretty rad haircut a week before my wedding. My wife loved it too. The ambiance of the shop is pretty cool too; pool table, free beer, good tunes.

I visited this place with my husband. He went there to get his haircut before he started his new job. I was not impressed. It was very open and cold. The stylists are barbers were not very friendly toward me but I noticed that they were very flirty towards their male customers to include my husband. I found it to be awkward. we left and the haircut that he received nor the customer service was very professional in my opinion. maybe they were just having an off day or something but I would not revisit that barber again. Its been 6 months and my husband nor myself has gone back there. I had a hard time believing that some of my husbands friends had recommended that barber because I do not.

Pretty unimpressed. My husband went once and waited for an hour for a pretty ok haircut. We went by again and waited for over an hour, and walkins who came in after us were called first. Staff seemed shocked when I told them we were leaving because the service was too slow — as if there aren’t 50 places to get the same cut three times as fast on Yadkin. This place has a trendy vibe (and free beer, by the way) but that and slow service are all that set it apart from the dozens of other shops

Make sure you arrive an hour before close. I showed up 40 minutes before close and they told me they wouldnt have time for me (2 barbers with 1 guy waiting already).Otherwise a good barbershop.

I am very particular about my haircuts and Ive been coming here for the last two years. Ren is by far the best barber here. She is very professional and very friendly. Always hooks me up with great hair cuts. Ren is definitely the go to barber at this establishment.

Didnt get the haircut I wanted and asked for, it was a somewhat similar style, but overall wasnt what I wanted. The environment and the workers are both friendly and welcoming, but the fact that I walked away with an unwanted style left a bad feeling with me about the shop as well as a doubt about all of the workers abilities and/or how well they listen when you describe what you want your hair to look like. Maybe Ill be willing to go back and give it another shot at another time in the future, but with so many options all around I doubt itll be anytime soon.

Love atmosphere and cant beat the price and the free beer. Coming from Washington state and California. This place has great barbers and Stylist. I recommend Stylist named Key.

Love this place! Ashley, aka @bad_ash_barber on Instagram, is my absolute favorite! Shes a total doll, pleasantly chatty but not too much and she always gets my hair exactly right! Shes been taking care of my hair for a hot minute now.

I live in Durham and travel 90 minutes just to have my hair cut by Jasmine or Mattie. Both have such careful attention to detail and I have never felt like they have rushed me out of the chair to get to their next appointment or client. I have never had second thoughts - I know that from the moment I walk in, to when I get in the chair, to walking out after, I will be well taken care of as well as shown the utmost respect for my time, money, and personal style. My hair is thick and as a woman with a short hairstyle, it isnt easy to get a pixie or undercut right, and these ladies do every single time.All the staff are a perfect balance of professional and laid back and it creates an awesome environment. They know my name and use it and we laugh and joke and have conversations not just smalltalk about sports or weather but they actually remember me as a person, not just another client or appointment.P. S. This is my first Google review ever but i adore your shop and personnel so much I had to - 10/10 would recommend.

I have tried twice and both times I have had negative experiences. Both times I waited about an hour and a half. The first time I got a haircut from Mrs Key and she did a great job, but the wait wasnt worth it. The second time I went with my 8yo daughter and we waited over an hour and a half before leaving without getting any haircuts. Even when they are not busy you wait a long time. They advertise as if they are rock based but I have never heard a rock song play while there. I would not recommend this place to anyone... well, maybe someone I hate.

This barbershop has done nothing but improve over the last two years Ive been stationed here. They can do your basic military-style fades, as well as more technical cuts that are risky at most other barbershops in Fayetteville. In particular, request Ricky if you want someone who understands attention to detail as well as us military types, and doesnt hurry through your cut to get to the next customer. He takes his time and gives you a haircut youll want to keep getting.

Id like to start by saying this is my first Google review ever!I have been coming to Savages since the place opened up and it has been a nice experience up until the recent year. The music went from rock/rap to mostly latino pop music and its so loud I can barely talk to my barber sometimes. The waits are long but they always will be since there so close to Ft. Bragg, so thats understandable. My last few experiences have been enough for me to go to another barbershop. I had my hair cut by a guy who worked there before and now is back, and he absolutely reeks up WEED! Its pretty bad, makes me not want to bring my kids back there anymore. My last visit and final visit I had the so-called assistant manager cut my hair and she was just very rude and snappy. The place used to be managed by the person I had cut my hair named Maddie and ever since she left it seems like the new managers just do not really care about the business. I gave the review 2 stars because they still do have a few good barbers in there still that do care.-So long Savages its been real

This is one of the coolest barbershops I have ever been to. Friendly staff, busy so make sure u call for an appointment or go during the week. Great with modern hair styles.

Took my son in on a Saturday around 1 pm to get a haircut. Since Saturdays are usually a busy day I was prepared to wait. But not for 2hours. We were skiped multiple times after being told we were next. There were alot of customers but plenty of stylist there to fill the demand if the stylists would actually do theyre job. More than one would just stand or sit and look at their phone for 10 minutes or they would talk with their finished customers for 15-20 minutes. While I do understand good rapport is necessary in this type of profession, having a good customer turn over rate is as well.The saving grace was the manager. She personally cut my sons hair and it was a great cut and he was extremely happy with it. She is the only reason Im not leaving 1 star.

If you want a high and tight or a low fade, these guys can deliver. Very professional and MERICA atmosphere. They pay close attention to what YOU want not what THEY want. I will be returning.

Love this place. Great atmosphere, cheap cuts, military owned, military friendly, and the only place on yadkin Ive found that can do an wash or rinse after your cut so you dont have to run back to base before going out. Super sad Kelsey is leaving but all the girls there seem to know what theyre doing. Definitely better then some of the butcher/barber shops on the same road. If you like listing to rock or dubstep and getting your hair cut while drinking free beer then this is your place.

I would have given them 5 stars.. but they got rid of all the good stylists.. now they have garbage employees with bad attitudes. They dont take the time to give a quality hair cut.. its a military town.. how hard can a damn fade be??

Been going to Savages since being stationed here and the reviews on here are very accurate. The haircuts are rushed and consequently they are uneven. The biggest issue is the wait time. I know Savages isnt unstaffed but there is a lack of properly scheduling employees which has lead to a loss of customers. If they would schedule more people this place could be great.

Mal does a really good job with my hair. Always professional, attention to detail and really take pride in their work. I really love my haircut, most definitely go back to her.

Ruined my hair!! The cut is not even and the layers are choppy and makes no sense. I couldnt stop crying they ruined my long hair! The color is just as horrifying its suppose to be a melt brown to a blonde my hair is yellow and platinum. I wouldnt recommend this hair salon to anyone unless your a male.

Do not waste your time, this place is a complete joke. First time I came here there were 3 people ahead of me and 4 people working. I waited for 2 hours to get my haircut after being told repeatedly, it wouldnt be much longer. Today I decided to give it another chance since they were somewhat busy last time. I showed up at 10am, there was 1 customer in the shop and I was told the wait was 45 minutes. I waited and then was told an hour later it would be another 45 minutes because of an appointment. It is obvious the staff is in absolutely no hurry and would rather talk to each other than do their job in a timely manner. I will not be coming back to a business that places no value on new customers.

My regular barber shop was closed today so I decided to give this place a try. The Haircut was rushed since they are busy and its done like whatever. I explained what I wanted and they ended up cutting their own style so why ask the client what they want. Its a long wait too so take some snacks and plan on loosing a good 2 to 3 hours. But hey the cut takes like 5 min tho. I guess it was a bad idea to try out a new barber a day before Thanksgiving. Ill just let it grow and wont take off my head gear. And to top it off they dont even clean the hairs off your face, came out and realized once in my car that my face and neck were full of hairs. Really bad experience no wonder they have free beer and minature waters to compensate the bad service.
