Monica was amazing, and far exceeded my expectations. Ive been cutting my sons hair at home because I assumed he would melt down at a salon. Monica took her time, played with him, made him feel comfortable, and got him in the chair no problem! By the end of the haircut you would think haircuts were his favorite thing (and they just may be). I have already recommended to all my friends, and will continue to do so!

Brought my son in for his first haircut at 2 years old and Monica was amazing at making him feel comfortable in a new place. You can tell shes spent a lot of time around children and she new what was developmentally appropriate/courteous for a two-year-old. She also provided some hair care tips for young ones, lice, cradle cap, etc.All in all I had the same feeling Ive had around spectacular teachers or pediatricians - making experiences out of the normal routine a learning experience and even a fun trip!And his hair turned out adorable!!!

I brought my daughter here for her first haircut and Monica was wonderful! She took her time to get my daughter feeling comfortable, gave her a wonderful haircut, put a braid in her hair, and saved a lock of her hair for us, tied with a ribbon, and labeled with her name and the date. She even had different colors of ribbon and let my daughter choose which color she wanted. I love that she charges the same rate regardless of how much time you need to book for your child (e.g. extra time for a 1st haircut, sensory issues, etc.), gives a discount for bringing in plastic bags to recycle, and makes it clear on the website that she offers an accepting and affirming space for families. This world needs more people like her.

I took my 1 year there for his first hair cut, and actually it was my first time bringing any of my kids in to get a haircut. And I have nothing but good things to say about this busniess and Monica. She was very friendly and so easy going, it made it so nice and comfortable for both me and my son. I will definitely be going back and becoming a regular with all of my kids! 😊

I absolutely love Monica she does an amazing job on the kids hair. My son is bi racial with curly hair and she hooked him up. My only small complaint isshe books out u have to schedule ahead and sometimes that is hard to for me. I just wish u could at least get in within a week. Thats is just because she is so.good many moms go.to her!! She is good about keeping the child calm too. She is awesome. just make sure u book a few weeks ahead ..

Monica did my 18 month olds first haircut, and very quickly made friends with a kiddo who can be a little shy when meeting new people. Plus, his hair looks great!Also super impressed listening to her talk to the child before us, who was probably about 7? Did a great job keeping him talking, and informing him about everything she was going to do before she did it! She had him give consent before every step of the process.Highly recommend!

We took our little guy (20 months) here to get his first haircut. He’s still in the stranger-danger phase, and Monica took the time to get him comfortable with both her and the environment before trying to give the cut. We were super impressed, and she eased all our worries. The cut went great, and we will definitely be going back!

Monica is great with kids. I have a 6, 4, and 2 year old. My boys used to cry when they would get haircuts, but now look forward to their appointments. My oldest doesnt like certain textures and sounds and she made him feel at ease. She is very patient with them and explains what she is going to do next. She always does a quick style for my daughter that she loves. They feel comfortable, actually sit still, and leave with great hair cuts. Wins all around!

Haircuts are torture for my 4 year old. He jumps from the chair, pulls off the cape, and squirms all over. This stylist has a child sized chair (with seatbelt 🙌) and a talent for children. She was so patient and helped him stay calm and still. Easily the straightest cut hes ever gotten!! ❤
