Its entirely too big in a good way but as with most home depot locations the staff is next too useless. Look, I dont expect you to know a lot but know which isle products are on. Wont hold it personally against home depot. Otherwise employees are friendly and diverse and thats a plus in my book. Beats going to Lowes, thats for sure.

If you like mediocre service in the aisles and klaxon horns while you shop, this is your store. In the faucets and bath fixtures area, there are security cameras at eye level in several locations. While picking out a kitchen faucet, the klaxon went off very loudly every time I moved near a faucet. I earned 7 mind jarring horn soundings to pick out one faucet. In the bathroom towel rack area, there are two such horn equipped cameras, so they go off whether you move left or right. Not pleasant.

We found what we were looking for. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lots of new hires so we had to ask a few people to figure out how to schedule an installation estimate because they were learning with us. Going early, when it just opened, was so much better than going when it was busy. We practically had the place to ourselves. The parking lot there gets crazy later in the day.

The one of the employees, some old Indian dude, instigated an argument with me and my father, then the employee proceeded to complain about his job at us in means to try and look like a victim. My father and I have spent years going to home depots and spent tens thousands of dollars a month for each and every jobsite we do, yet we are disrespected just because an employee doesnt want to work because he had a bad day with a customer arguing with him as the old Indian employee explained while yelling at us.Also I asked for help a bunch of times from other employees and they just either horse around, ignore you, give unhelpful advice, or argue with the customers, which is horrible customer service.

Was told the best way to set up a kitchen design appointment was via their web site. Web sit directed me to call specific store. Phone menu was easy to use but no one answered (7 times). Obviously customer service not a priority. Will use Lowes

Bunch of jamokes running the place. Wanted to know how to install a lock on a door, guy said, get this, read the instructions. Okay cool but the instructions dont explain how to actually cut the hole so I ask him if he knows anything and he admits that in fact he doesnt know jack about diddly and suggests I search online. Thats great but then what are you for exactly? Everyone in the store was in the same boat and by the same boat i mean the SS Stupid.

It pains me to give The Home Depot a negative review. I had been a happy customer for over 15 years - the first time I became a homeowner - and have left very positive reviews before, but this particular store seems to be on mission to disappoint me over and over. The latest and final straw was ordering carpet and hardwood floors for my home. We had a 3-week window where the bottom floor of our home was going to be without any furniture and so it was the perfect opportunity to replace the flooring. We chose our styles and colors and requested a measurement with hopes to have it all done within 2 weeks (as we were told). Then came the delays and the excuses, the hidden fees, and the lies, and the fine print. After two and a half weeks the only thing they had accomplished was the measurement, which was nearly two weeks late because someone at HD could not put the order in properly. This put the installation out of our window, so we shifted some things and bought ourselves an extra week. Lo and behold, we were told the carpet was not going to be installed in seven days after purchase in spite of the seven day guarantee. We were also told that the guarantee didnt apply to the flooring products we purchased because the fine print has all these exceptions. At this point, I washed my hands of this store and have vowed to never return. I may visit the Falls Church store if Im desperate, but no more HD for me.
