I reach out to Boat People SOS for assistance in identifying resources financial and health assistance resources for the community. Many of the local, state, and federal offices that deal with resources are inundated with calls because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Duc at BPSOS picked up my call and was very patient as I explained to him what I was looking for. He was extremely knowledgeable about assistance programs, especially for groups that otherwise would not qualify (i.e. asylum-seekers, etc), and provided excellent resources to me. He offered me his email address, and so graciously offered to help me with whatever I needs. This organization, and people like Duc, are so critical to the community. Frisrt of all i am so apreciate Mai Tam Nguyen who helped my brother a lot, so he can get unemployment benerfit even though my brother had some body helped him before. that person messed up his applycatipon.Mai Tam Nguyen spent a lot of time to help my brother and did not care how long and how late she helped to stay on the phone to hepl him. with her helps my brother is a able to receive his unemplyment benefit .
