These guys were very nice and super responsive. I was able to have them come by for a quote the night I contacted them even though it was after hours. They finished the job quickly and were a breeze to contact when I had questions. They also handled everything with the insurance company which was very convenient for me. My only complaint would be that I found some mold that they missed but to their credit they came by and fixed that right away. I also found their rebuild price too high so I decided to fix things on my own. I would definitely use Restoration Doctor again.

We had a flooded basement and I contacted Steve. He responded within just a few minutes and was at our house within a few hours. He was able to save the carpet! He quickly removed the padding and took out a section of baseboard and drywall that had been just too saturated. He then sanitized and cleaned the carpet, and sprayed anti-microbial on the floor and studs. He put out 4 different fans and a dehumidifier. Within about 24 hours everything was dry, but he left the fans going for 3 days to ensure everything was fully dry. He then came back about a week later and put down new pad and put the carpeting back in place. It looks great

Bob showed up early and ready to go. Price was competitive, and the finIshed product looked great. The carpet was only two years old and in good shape so I figured cleaning wasnt all that important - I was wrong. It looked so much better! Money well spent. We needed some help with the carpets and Don was more than able to accommodate our needs as well as working around my jammed packed schedule. This company did a wonderful job cleaning the rugs. They looked so bad I considered replacing them, but decided to get them cleaned first to see how it turned out. Besides moving in the house with peace of mind knowing the carpets are clean, Restoration Doctor did such a great job that I wont need to change the carpet for at least a few more years. My Dad and I bought a new home and unfortunately, we had the Washer machine installed improperly which led to the water damaging most of our hardwood floor on the main level. Dave was amazing. He went over with us step by step on how the procedure would be assessed and handled. He was straightforward about everything and any questions we had he answered with no problem. Water damage is definitely not a great thing to experience, especially in your own home. Recently Steve came out to my parents house. He took his time and was very thorough on the diagnosing process. Because he took his time and was well prepared, he was able to spot things and point out more problematic areas than other restoration companies I had out. In the end, after spending hours, he was able to give me pointers and advice that ended saving me a lot of money. I cant complain about that. He is very genuine and would never take advantage of your situation. I would definitely refer Steve to anyone of my friends or family. Hes definitely worth the time, money and 5 star rating!!!!

This company is the best! He steamed cleaned and pulled the carpets in 2 houses for us. One house we were getting ready to sell and the carpets needed a lot of work. After he was done, the difference was night and day! He did a fantastic job on our new house as well. No spots were missed! If you hire this company you will not be disappointed.

This company completely restored my soaked carpet and walls from a backed up sink (72 hours of drying). He had to drill a few holes in the baseboard and adjacent lower wall to assure adequate ventilation and drying. More importantly, he did a fine job of patching and painting the above to an acceptable appearance. Dave is a good listener, will offer different options and make appropriate recommendations, and is reasonably priced. Hes meticulous, but efficient, and pays extra attention to your property when cleaning up, and doing his job. I appreciate the fact that he billed my insurance for me. I would definitely put him on your short list of pros to call when disaster strikes!

I am very pleased with this service. I called a few days before I was ready to completely move out of my studio and arranged for Don to service my carpet. At first I was told that there may still be some spots due to the heavy damage the carpet took. We had some water damage and we contacted this company and Mike arrived withing 30 minutes of our call. He came in and started assessing the situation. He told me exactly what needed to be done and he was 100% correct. He said that it will take a minimum of 72 hours to dry but I didnt have the time so we shorted it by 20 hours and it was still wet. The insurance adjuster even said that mike had done a great job given the time frame. The adjuster had Mike come back to dry for another 60 hours or so. He just finished and it was completely dry. Hes honest and professional and does not play games

We arrived home after Thanksgiving holiday out of town to discover our master bath and bedroom had flooded due to rain and a backed up pipe. I contacted Restoration Doctor to come to my home and performed water mitigation services due to a hot water tank leak in my finished basement . My whole basement was flooded.When I first contacted this company the representative that I spoke to was so calm and collective. They really took the time to hear my concerns and understand what I was going through. I was able to schedule services the same day, which was a huge relief. The Water Damage technician arrived right within the estimated scheduled time frame. They inspected and took pictures of my basement. Due to the amount of damage caused by the flood, they were able to help move furniture/contents and remove the all of the damaged carpet/pad in my basement. This company even hauled away all of the removed carpet/pad. They monitored the equipment each day to assure they were not leaving any room for mold to grow. They then provided water damage remediation, including removal affected baseboards and sections of drywall wall. On the last day of services, the technician performed a final walk thru of services for my basement and provided the bill.Every visit was scheduled around my availability and with up most professionalism. We had a ceiling collapse on a Thursday evening last around 5:30pm, spilling blown-in insulation all over a living room and dust throughout the lower level of the house. Restoration Doctor responded very quickly. Despite having other jobs already going and calling him in the evening, he was there only 2 hours after my initial call. They did some initial cleanup and taped off the room to prevent further spread of dust and debris. Shyon and Don arrived on time the next morning and got to work. They had the room cleaned up by the end of the day and left an air purifier to run overnight to remove as much dust from the air as possible. They even took the curtains to be cleaned at their facility as part of the service. They communicated with me throughout the day so I knew what was happening and what to expect. By Saturday morning, if it werent for the lack of a ceiling, it looked like nothing had happened. They came back to retrieve their equipment and answer any final questions. Steve was also there to answer any questions and was responsive to any phone calls we had as the incident and payment was reviewed by it insurance. Just a great experience, and I would definitely hire Restoration Doctor if needed.

Restoration Doctor was one of the few remediation companies to answer his phone after a year storm that resulted in a flooded basement. He was cool, calm, and collected during what was probably a very chaotic time for his business and I appreciated that. While he was unable to get out to our house the same day due to the high volume of flooding in the area, he did come out the next day and had his crew there to get the remediation done within 24 hours. He photographed everything for us and showed me all the moisture on his moisture reader so I wouldnt feel swindled.

We noticed a water leak mark in our ceiling and needed someone to come out to look at it before it got worse. Due to COVID-19, called a few other places but they couldnt come out fast enough Restoration Doctor and they came the same Javier arrived with gloves and a full mask, which we appreciated. He had a water detector that reads moisture levels in walls and under tile floors--plus an infrared camera and was able to show us exactly what was going on . He was thorough and explained everything to us. We had a full detailed quote the next day. After chatting with our insurance company, we decided to pay out-of-pocket, and Javier was extremely gracious about reducing the scope of the work, so that it would fit within our budget. He arrived again today to do the work, with full gloves and a mask. He removed the toilet, showed us what we needed to do next, and gave us great tips about where to go and how to do the next pieces of work ourselves.

Theyve made the process seamless and so much easier than I expected! They offered to have someone out the same day to work up an estimate for cleanup. I had a water stain in the hardwood floor next to refrigerator. I called this company and set up an appointment. Steve showed up on time. He checked the moisture around the area, as well as in the crawlspace. He answered my questions patiently, and provided a couple of options I could choose. I followed his advice and got a flooring company to take off the damaged hardwood floor pieces. It turned out the damage was only in the surface and I dont need any other repair other than replacing the hardwood floor pieces.All the assessment was free to me and Steve didnt charge anything. These are probably the most honest people we have ever met. We had some mold in our bathroom and Don came over to test the area to see if it was a larger issue. He determined it was not and even left us complimentary masks and gloves and gave us recommendations for how to fix it. I would call on them again if needed.

There was an inch of water covering almost the entire downstairs! We panicked! The downpour had caused our outside drain to clog and water to enter our home. After using every effort to clear the drain of the debris blocking it myself, the water started going down. However, the damage was already done. I called a plumber who said he couldnt do anything. I then called water damage companies. Then so i called Restoration Doctor. They are extremely professional and an expert in water damage and he gave us recommendations on how to fix the situation without tearing up everything in our house (different than the previous company said we had to do). We are now totally dry and in recovery mode. We are very grateful to Steve and his technicians and we would recommend them without reservation.

The best experience I could hope for. Steve was knowledgeable and honest. He came to assessed our water damage the first day and provided with the description of the work required. The next day, when he came to perform the job, he re-assessed and noted that the water dried out by itself very quicker. And if I prefer, I could dry the remaining water damage myself using my own equipment and didnt want to charge me.

I Called this company after my wife and I noticed wet carpet in the corner our basement during the hardest of this winters rain. Dave was quick to come out and review the situation, and gave me a reasonable quote for his services. A couple days later, he and another gentleman came out and pulled out the carpeting and damaged drywall, cleared any signs of mold, and set up dehumidifiers to keep the space dry. He also had a couple suggestions for the root of the problem and connected me to someone who could repair the walls when all was said and done. Got mold tests done and the space cleaned up quickly, and also allowed me to keep the dehumidifiers a bit longer when we had to wait for the other contractor while the rain kept coming. These guys were fast, good at their job, and very responsive to questions I had. One star off bc the plastic barrier they put up, fell down several times over the course of drying, and pulled some paint off the ceiling as a result . good experience overall, and I would call them again if I ever have water damage issues-though I hope to never have to.

We had a water leak incident in our condo and some the water leaked in the unit below. Mike arrived on site for inspection. He was very professional and he took precautions during covid time. He was wearing mask and maintained 6 ft distancing. Mike provided us pictures and moisture detector readings. He explained us everything about those readings without trying to up-sell their service and gave us practical alternative solution and avoid big expense from insurance company. Usually, in these scenarios its difficult to negotiate without having insurance company involved and Matthew played an unbiased mediator role and helped us by billing our insurance company for us. I called Restoration Doctor and they got me set up immediately with an appointment for Steve and his crew to come out and look at the project. They ended up having to tear out some wall and flooring and they worked with us to find a plumber who could repair the broken pipe and another company to come remove our counter and cabinets. During the tons of rain we had this summer our sump pump failed and I came home from work to find our ground-floor living room filled with inches of water. That was a really bad evening. I started contacting companies on Google looking for somebody to help immediately. Steve responded and was able to come over right away so late in the evening and give us an estimate for removing water, floors and cutting the walls. He was super patient with us in our worried/hectic state & even helped me move our furniture out of the wet mess as soon as he got there. He and his guys removed water, floors, cut walls near the bottom, put in fans and dehumidifiers and then he was willing to leave them with us pretty much as long as it took to be all dry. Really flexible on timing and after that first night we mostly communicated back-and-forth via text message to which he responds quickly. I also appreciated that hes sympathetic & honest (makes accurate assessment and is careful not to over promise and under deliver). Good experience with him and while I really really really hope we never need to call him again, I wouldnt hesitate to do so if another water disaster strikes.

If youve dealt with water damage in the past, than you know it is a very undesirable process which is costly and time-consuming to fix. Dave responded quickly, provided me a detailed explanation of the work required and also suggested I contact my home insurance. He asked me to text him a few pictures right after I initially spoke to him on the phone and he was able to quickly diagnose the issue. Less than 1 hour later he was at my doorstep to start the remediation process for the water damage on our hallway floor, walls and bathroom. While he was inspecting the water damage, he also noticed a major drain issue in our crawl space but was not pushy to try to get more business since he knew we were on tight budget. Hopefully this issue doesnt happen again. If water damage services are needed again, I would contact this company again in an instant. Dave was friendly, professional, responsive, frank, current on the safety codes & requirements, knowledgable (over 10 years of experience) and reasonably priced.

Sewage backup and faulty toilet flange caused quite a problem and it happened to be the week of Christmas. Marcus and Frank and the hard working men that work beside them were amazing!!! They were out that day and took care of everything in a matter of hours. Marcus also went way over and beyond for me with the plumbers and my Insurance company. He also called to check on me and my elderly father and also stopped by to make sure we were well taken care of. An almost catastrophe from water! We had a VERY positive experience with Ultimate Choice from beginning to end. We are seasonal residents in an Arlington VA single family home. In early January, we were at our home on the east coast when our house sitter contacted us to say that there was a “significant” water issue in our home.When our house sitter arrived and arranged entry into our unit, there was almost 2” of standing water on our floor. Water was cascading out of our heat exchanger in the attic. Within a few hours, the Restoration Doctor crew was on the scene with their commercial dehumidifiers and fans to begin the drying process. When we arrived the following morning, we met Steve, Restoration Doctor senior Project manager, who clearly had experience with these types of disasters. His team had moved and/or covered our furnishings and cut out and removed large sections of drywall and insulation. Steve thoroughly explained his mitigation strategy to circulate hot air under floors and through the ceilings. It was effective and efficient, with the least amount of drywall removal, which would save us money on the rebuild.The rebuild was conducted during our absence. When we ultimately returned, we were amazed at how flawless the work was completed. We can’t see the drywall seams. The rough-coat finishes and the paint on the walls and ceilings blended and matched perfectly.During the entire process, Steve and Sasha were responsive to emails and phone calls. Highly recommended.

We had a very positive experience with Dave and Restoration Doctor. Great customer service and they took care of our water damage to our satisfaction. When we called, he even came out that night to assess the damage prior to their appointment with us the next day so they were prepared with the equipment they needed. He was very professional, very responsive via text even outside of normal business hours whenever we had a question, and very knowledgeable. He came back after a few days to check on the progress and showed us how they measure moisture levels in the floors and walls to determine how they need to move fans around and how they know when restoration is complete. We would definitely use them again if needed!

Amazing work. I was indecisive so I met with several mitigation companies. Restoration Doctor had the most advanced water clean up machinery and moisture detecting technology. I was confident that all moisture was removed and mold eliminated.

The landlord suggested I find my own restoration company and I would be reimbursed for everything. So of course I needed to find a reasonably priced company. Since I live alone I needed to find a reputable company for my own safety as well as the safety of my belongings. I found several companies but decided to use this company. Im so happy I did. they came to inspect the damages. They were ON TIME (this is so extremely important to me) and very professional. Even with the inspection and quote for the work to follow, every step of the way the company was transparent and honest!!! Frank explained EVERYTHING in great detail, and even came back to my house to help me with the insurance adjuster. My basement is now smelling and looking better then when we moved in! Shyon is awesome, Im SUPER picky about cleanliness and also worried about any mold inhalation that couldve materialized after the water saturated behind the walls and floors. They did s thorough job, he turned off our water so more damage would be avoided. They kept me in the know of how things were going with our home, which I appreciated. Our pipes were clogged on Saturday causing sewage backup. I had a plumber open the pipes and called several companies. Restoration Doctor is quick and very responsive. The technician Shyon was especially professional. He was polite, careful, and explained everything before starting the job. He did a thorough cleaning and sanitized the entire area. My home was flooded two months ago, and I called Restoration Doctor for an estimate on the water removal, dry-out and repair. Steve and his crew promptly came out to survey the damage, and he was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and honest. His crew was very thorough, polite, and professional. They did a really great job, so I highly recommend them. Steve and his team walked me through the process, provided me with a detailed estimate, then checked in regularly during the process, so I was always up to date on the project. They used moisture meters to find what was wet, what needed to be discarded, and what could be repaired, instead of just tearing everything out. It made me feel more at ease that things were being done properly.They took several pictures and created a detailed report. This made the insurance claims process super easy. I also really like that Ram also does the repair work. I believe this is a great savings on the overall cost instead of having two companies to deal with.The final cost was very close to the original estimate, and they provided clear detail so that I could understand why there was a difference. There were no surprises. The cost was reasonable, and I couldnt be more satisfied.They set up the equipment in a clean and professional fashion. They taped power cords and edges, made sure areas they werent working on were protected, removed damaged drywall neatly, and cleaned up afterwards very well. They paid as much attention to detail as I would have if I had done it myself.Ive worked with many other contractors in my life, but these guys are among the best.

Restoration Doctor didnt disappoint. They acted quickly when I had an emergency flood issue. They were on the scene in under a half hour at 2 in the morning, which is commendable and truthful according to their emergency service offerings. They drained the flood water, repaired the water damaged areas and dried out the afflicted areas of my home, while going through my insurance company for everything. A prime example of what emergency service and optimal performance would look like.

If I had the opportunity to give these guys 100 stars I would. I work in construction and am well aware of how difficult it is to get fast, reliable, trustworthy and friendly service in the DMV area. We had a major leak in our basement that soaked the existing carpet. To make matters worse, we discovered our pets had been using the basement as a restroom. The fumes from the carpet were overwhelming and horrible. We actually took our kids to a family members home to get them away from it. My grandmother has been very ill and taking care of her and trying to deal with all this, they got everything cleaned up and checked on us daily until everything was dry!! I contacted Restoration Doctor directly through Yelp when I searched for Basement Waterproofing and mold remediation and they responded promptly. I needed to get someone out to give me an estimate before I left town in only a couple of days to be away for several weeks. While the work could be done while I was away, I was the only one who could make the decision, so time was critical. The woman who initially contacted me said she would try to get someone to come out very soon. I was contacted again within a few hours to see if I was Ok if they came out to my home that evening. I said absolutely! I couldnt believe their dedication to customer service! Their technician, Marcus, contacted me to let me know that he would be coming out and the time-frame. Later, still within the timeframe, Marcus called again to let me know he was running about 20 minutes later than hed estimated. I said that was fine and was grateful for the call. When he arrived, he was very courteous, professional and seemingly quite knowledgeable about mold remediation. Unfortunately, they dont do waterproofing also. This seems to be a glitch with Yelp that matched me to companies that do either waterproofing OR mold remediation, but not necessarily both. I told him Id love to still get an estimate for mold remediation, but would have to wait until the water-proofing was completed first (so I dont have a repeated problem.) He patiently and courteously measured my basement and composed an estimate the same evening. You cant beat that! If they are this conscientious in the estimate process, I cant wait to work with them when they actually do the work!

I cant say enough about the fantastic service that Steve and Frank provided in taking care of the damage my leaking bathtub caused. Shyon, Marcus and Dave, who did the labor, were excellent too in doing top notch work and cleaning up so well. They even washed my cats bowls in the basement which were in the walkway and turned them upside down to avoid getting dusty. Before tearing apart the closet, they also boxed all of our belongings from our closet and labeled each box. They all were very thorough in explaining what needed to be done, working with my insurance company, and answered all of my questions with the most absolute care. I undoubtedly recommend Restoration 1. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!

Restoration Doctor did an awesome job. My tub overflow drain was leaking water down to the unit below mine. They sent a Restoration Doctor who cut out a small hole into the unit below mines ceiling and installed a vent attached to their $2k dehumidifier. It sucked out all the moisture with ease. They even sprayed mold and mildew treatment afterwards for safekeeping. I cannot believe how easy and how much of a headache they saved me. Not to mention, big help to my wallet as well.

Needed help with mold removal/remediation. Dave was prompt, quick, helpful and professional. He would call to update, and would promptly text back with detailed explanations and would never have any issue explaining or re-explaining anything. We found some water had been leaking and, as a result, mold growing in my childrens closet. I got in touch with at Restoration Doctor and we scheduled a visit in a couple of days. I really had little expectation for what they could do since it seemed like the problem had been there for a while (we just bought the house). Shyon and his crew came out, spent about an hour testing, removing damaged material, and setting up their equipment. It was FAST! And then they left. About 2 days later, Frank came and checked the status. Bone dry. I was shocked. Even the concrete wall behind the drywall had dried out. I was extremely impressed. And grateful too! My wife is asthmatic and struggles with even the slightest mold in the house. She couldnt even set foot in this room. Now? No problems at all.
