Outstanding service. Mr Lee repaired a Land Rover Discovery for much less than the dealership and proved that one expensive item that the dealership stated must occur was not necessary. He saved me several thousand dollars!!!

Lees Auto Service was great! I have a classic vehicle which comes with its challenges starting with finding a mechanic that will take the time to diagnose it. Mr. Lee knew right away what was wrong and walked me through the process. He kept me in the loop with where they were in getting parts and the cost. Mr. Lee was very professional and fair! My car was fixed 2 days prior to when he said they could have it ready. I highly recommend Mr. Lee. Its very refreshing to have a trustworthy and reliable place to take my vehicle.

Lees Auto Center has been taking care of my car for over a year now. Theyve always greeted me with a neighborly welcome. Beyond their pleasant counter service are skilled mechanics with an eye for detail. M2010 RAV4 was having trouble finding the reverse gear or so I thought. Lees Auto inspected my car and discovered the issue was with my rear transfer case. A less honest shop might have tried to sell me on multiple services but not Lees. They had my car fixed in no time and at a very competitive price.

Its so nice to know an honest mechanic! I thought that I had a problem with the clutch booster of my Honda. Lee could have easily charged $400 or more for that. But he explained that there is no problem and showed me how to operate it normally. Also adjusted my horn volume and no cost, so now people can hear me on the road! Ended up just paying a nominal amount for an emissions inspection, which I passed no problem. Highly recommend Mr. Lee!

I went to inspect my car at this workshop, the place was quiet and empty. They were fast and efficient and they did not find any problem in my car. 👍😷

Mr. Lee has maintained all our cars and kids cars for years now. He always does an amazing job. He always does everything as quickly as possible and is easy to talk to. Hes extremely fair about pricing and service. Unlike other shops weve dealt with, he does not try to upset us on unneeded work.

Lee has always been great; its really nice to know an honest mechanic. He often explains that I dont need more expensive work recommended by the dealer. Most recently, he overhauled the engine in my Honda Civic at a fraction of what the dealer wanted. Its like having a new engine! Highly recommend.

First used them for vehicle inspection, then for auto detailing and painting wheel rims, and most recently for a tuneup. All three experiences were positive: professional, priced right, and on time. Friendly manners and great service!

Went in for a simple inspection and emissions test. I get that they try to be professional and do the right thing but failing my inspection just because of a flickering light bulb from the top of my rear license is a bit too much and they didnt even let me explain that all I need to do is replace a small light bulb but instead they insisted it was water damaged(which was definitely not the case). I would say these are good guys but wouldnt recommend them to anyone. They wont make your life easy and the experience might ruin your day.

Dishonest. Went for oil change but they said well we do a free check of your car and I needed differential service. Didn’t bother to check that they had already performed that differential service ($700) back in February when I brought my car for a different issue. So did I really need it or not?

I serviced three different cars with Lees Auto Center over 10 years. I always received good service.

Mr.Lee fixed my truck after my girlfriend scratched it pretty badly. He was professional and quick. He was also nice enough to make sure I had a ride after I dropped of my car. My car was fixed within a few days and no signs of the scratch were left. He also called to follow up and make sure everything was to my liking.

I go there for years and I am happy!

Incredibly unprofessional + rude service, in addition to prices that are MUCH HIGHER than other local garages.I used Lees Auto Center a while ago for an oil change - the price was much higher than other garages, but the location is convenient so I bit the bullet. The owner/man at the front was pretty rude, but I ended up coming back for an emissions test just recently.After my vehicle failed the emissions test the first time (for a check engine light), the owner was very brusque would not communicate any details of the rejection. He simply WALKED AWAY as I talked to him. I made the repair and drove the car through most of a drive cycle, clearing all but one OBD2 code. When I came in for reinspection, I asked to make sure that one incomplete OBD2 code was allowed (per VA emissions standards). He said quickly - No, it will not pass, and tried to WALK AWAY AGAIN as I was speaking. After trying to discuss with him to understand the official standard, he said fine, just talk to the emission inspector here, then youll see. Of course, my vehicle then passed because the standard allows for one incomplete code.The owner has no idea how to run a business. I would advise to STAY AWAY from this uninformed, rude, expensive auto center.

I bought my first car from Mr.Lee and when he said that my Camry would be a good car, he was right. If anybody out there is looking to buy a car I recommend you go check out what he has! Aside from that, he is excellent when it comes to fixing cars and doing anything car related. He has become my go to mechanic and although there are other options out there, Mr.Lee is guaranteed excellence every time.

This place deserves 0 stars for professionalism. Vehicle broke down literally across the street from this shop, I managed to roll the vehicle in to the parking lot of this establishment. Upon exiting the vehicle I was met with whom I presume to be the owner. He asked that I roll the car in to a specific spot, which I somehow managed to do with a vehicle that had zero acceleration, thank god for gravity. At this point I kindly asked the gentlemen if they could look in to the issue, rather than understanding the challenge of how I just reached the location, he immediately asked that I move back about 15 feet. (Keep in mind although not wearing a face mask, I maintained a 6 foot distance from this individual). Understanding that he made this comment due to discomfort, I reluctantly asked if they could just take a quick peak at the issue. Without even looking at the vehicle or its condition, the gentleman said it would run $115 to simply scan the vehicle. I have been around cars for many years and I am very familiar with running an OBD diagnostic. The only time this is needed is when a warning light is on the dash, specifically, the Check Engine light. Without even looking at the vehicle or even verifying that a warning light is on, quoting such a cost is baseless. The issue could’ve been as simple as a drive belt popping off or the car could’ve been out gas, rather than taking less than a minute to open the hood to verify, this gentleman seemed more concerned about taking advantage of the situation and making a quick buck. Noticing a lack of empathy and actual willingness to get my car repaired correctly, I decided to have my vehicle towed to my mechanic. I asked the gentleman if it was okay to leave the vehicle for an hour while I arranged a tow and this is where the peak of unprofessionalism came to light. Instead of being understanding, the owner rudely directed me to move the vehicle from his property. I am in the service industry myself and I know first hand that even if you are not able to service every customer, there is a common level of respect and attention provided to each who walks through the door. There was none provided from this establishment. I do not recommend and if your vehicle does breakdown anywhere near this shop, tow it somewhere else right away!FYI - After reading some of these other reviews, it looks like the level of disrespect provided by the owner is common. I can verify with first hand experience that the owner is in fact very rude.

Rude and unfriendly with repairs and when I missed one call he became very aggravated and beligerent over the phone.

Very efficient state safety inspections is why I started using this shop.When I went here for maintenance, they had competent mechanics who noticed additional (real) issues with my BMW 335i and did good work. Four stars instead of five because the labor times somewhat exceeded what I expected (should have negotiated those up front).

This place is the best place for any car issues you have. Lee the owner will work with you to help fix your issue and save you money. Came in today was looking at 700 dollars in camshaft sensors to pass emissions and Lee was able to work his magic and only cost me 135 for a engine and oil flush. Please if you have any car problems please stop here first. He will beat any price around and will work with you to ensure your car is back on the road.

I came to this shop and asked to have a vehicle I had just purchased check out told them all the issues I was having! I got 1000 quote when I came to pick the vehicle up the owner changed the price to 1200! I took the vehicle parked it for a few day’s because I didn’t have tags came back for the same issue I was having before I dropped it off he then gave another bill for 800 dollars now where at almost 2000 dollars! I tried to take notes and write down the issues I was having to get a second opinion the owner refused to repeat the information said im not here to educate you to go anywhere else.

The technician/owner is very rude. He asked $9 for a clip. They tried to do unauthorized work and then charged you. They unplugged hose and did not put it back. They messy work was identified by another store. Never go Lees again.

I went there to get my car looked at and they told me they were going to charge me double because they didn’t know me. Then I was told to leave before any actual work was done. Very unprofessional.

Rude is an under statement of the man in charge of this facility, He was borderline hostile. On top of that he is crooked and lies on your face underestimating your intelligence. Has anger issues and should not be in the service industry at all!

Super quick an extra thorough with the process. I went for my safety inspection and emissions check since I just moved from Florida. They helped me understand why I was doing this and when I need to be back.

Ive gone to Lees Auto Center for years now, and they always, always, always do right by me and the car. Whether its an engine issue, a light issue, big or small fix they will work to help you! They replaced my timing belt, and along the way found other changes that needed to be made and avoided surprise charging me for things. I am deeply appreciative of the way they do business here and Im certain to come back if I have another issue!

The gentleman who is at the desk was very rude. I had brought in my car to have it re-inspected. They took in two vehicles that got there after I did. I asked how long it would take because I had been waiting a while and he said I needed to sit down and wait. The manner in which he responded was offensive. All I wanted to do was take my car and leave, but I had already paid for the inspection. He was rude the first time I took it in and I didnt feel like going back. If youre a woman, I wouldnt recommend it. I noticed he was very nice to the two gentlemen that got there after I did.

My husband and I have been bringing our car to Lee’s Auto Center for the past four years, and we are glad that we finally found an auto shop that we trust. Having to go to a mechanic because of car problems is never fun, but it greatly helps to be able to trust the mechanic that you go to and that they are giving you an accurate picture of the issues with your cars. Mr. Lee (the owner) is always ready to answer questions and gives great explanations when there is an issue that needs to be addressed (he even draws pictures to help explain the issue in a more clear manner). We are glad to have found a mechanic that we trust and charges fair prices. We would recommend it!

I have trusted my various cars (currently three) to Mr. Lee for over twelve years. He is extremely honest and thorough. I just leave the car and I know he will take care of it. He always discusses what needs to be done, and will try to find the least expensive way to go about a repair -- at much lower prices than dealers. If you need tires, he will find the best match and lowest price, so there is no need to search around for deals at the various tire stores.He takes care of his regular customers very well. But he is helpful even if you havent been there before. I know this because many years ago I had an old Range Rover classic with a bad muffler. I couldnt find a replacement anywhere. So as a new customer, I took it to him hoping for the best. He went to the trouble of custom designing and fitting a muffler that would pass inspection, at a reasonable cost.

I recently wrecked my Lexus in a snow storm a couple weeks ago and I managed to take it across the street from where I live to Lees Auto. I have been working with Mr. Lee and his team the past several weeks to fix my car, they have been the most professional and trustworthy men working at an auto shop that I have ever come across. This was my first accident and they helped me all the way through the process in a timely and efficient manner. I had to go back and forth with my insurance company three times as we found more work to be done with my car and every time I was kept in the loop and the work was completed in a quick, timely manner. The communication, customer service and overall friendliness of Mr. Lee and his shop has been wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an honest and professional auto shop to work on your car, from damage from a storm accident to a regular inspection check up.

Mr. Lee is terrific ... weve been going to him for more than a decade and hes kept my nearly-20 year old Beetle humming along. Hes honest and doesnt give you work you dont need, and his prices are very good. So I recommend him highly!

These guys are my go to mechanic and have been for at least a few years now. Their estimates are accurate (and reasonable, in my experience), and theyre efficient and friendly.

Fraud. I went for a safety inspection in 2012 and an oil change. I was in a hurry. Even though there was only one other customer there and they started working on my car immediately it still took about an hour to get out of there. When he charged me 85.00 I thought it seemed high but was in too much of a hurry to think. When I got home I checked my bill and saw he charged an emissions inspection. I knew I didnt need one because I had done it the previous year. I logged into DMV to double-check. Not only did he charge me for an emission inspection but he didnt even perform one. This was criminal pure and simple, he either did an inspection a year early and reported it to DMV or he didnt do the inspection and simply ripped me off. Lee has a theatrical style peering over his glasses asking where you got some work done, but its the style of a con man. I should have known there was a reason the parking lots always empty and it was so easy to get in. I bet he preys on Barcroft retirees who love the convenience and the skeptical mechanic act.

Went in to get an opinion/quote on a simple front headlight bulb change for my car. Should have known better than to think I would receive courtesy, good customer service, and honesty. When I got out of the car to greet the owner and mechanic, I extended my hand for a handshake, and both just looked at me dumbfounded as if a handshake was a foreign object, and shook their heads acknowledging whole heartedly they would NOT shake my hand. I should have known what I was in store for. I tried explaining to them what the issue was, and my words were clearly going in one ear and out the other. Without even attempting to diagnose the issue, the owner and mechanic both asserted the problem was electrical, and proudly boasted the fix would cost $140. I’m surprised how a place like this remains in businesses.Thankfully, I took my business elsewhere, and only spent $20 for a simple fix that took 10 minutes of labor. I would advise anyone looking for repair work, to take their business far away from this place.

I starting going to Mr. Lee for convenience and stayed for the great service. He brings his 40 years of experience to the shop making estimate and repairs seem like common sense. He took my car that I thought would not last me a year and has kept it going strong for 3 years now. My engine runs better than when I bought it used 7 years ago.

I came into the auto shop for a state inspection, and I received phenomenal service! The staff was very friendly, and they clearly demonstrated that they care for your safety. I went ahead and has all services done, and I couldn’t be happier! The manager, Lee, was fantastic!

The best experience. I went to do my emissions and they were closed but Mr Lee still took me in. I went to another mechanic shop before going to Mr Lee and they told me good luck to find someone to do your safety and emissions on a Saturday. Mr Lee took me in with open hands. I took my car in when the A/C stopped working. Mr. Lee and his team diagnosed the problem, took time to explain the issue to me and made the repair in less time than I expected. The cost was also less than quotes I received for the same repair from two other shops. I was so pleased with the service I received I brought my other car in for problems with the steering. Again, I was pleasantly surprised with the speed of diagnosis and repair, as well as the fair pricing I received. Mr. Lee and his team are knowledgeable, honest professionals who took time to answer all of my questions so I understood what work they were performing and why. I wouldnt take my vehicles anywhere else for service!

Honest and great service. I switched to Lees Auto Center about 3 years ago. I got three estimates from three different auto shops for replacing my breaks. Their estimate was the middle price and I took my car to replace my breaks. After they took out the tires, Mr. Lee told me that I only need to replace the front breaks. The rear breaks can last another year. I was surprise for his honesty, which you do not find many of them these days. I have taken my car and have referred many of my friends.

I just moved to the area and have brought my car here twice already. Each time the owner has been so helpful and very friendly. He gives you a GREAT deal, this is not your average auto repair shop where they charge you way more than they should to make some money. I looked around for places to do the same work he did on my taillights they wanted hundreds, he charged me much less than every other shop I looked at. I went through a too strange situation with manager of this station.. The technician who attended my car done with the job and was trying to go an extra miles to recommend certain advices. I told him these recommendations are too technical to me and I need to take a note of them. I was shocked that his manager suddenly and without any introductions got too frustrated and told his technician never repeat to me his recommendations. I asked the manager why he didnt want me be aware of his technician recommendations. The manager left the office, and was repeating in front of his other staff that he was not willing to talk to me at all. Wonder if there is any psychiatric who may interpret such behavior sickness.

Do not ever go here, they will scam you into paying hundreds for things that do not need fixing. We have been going here for the past 5 years and they will find a small problem, to overcharge you. I have recommended all my friends and family of the area to not come to this place to get any servicing at all. Highly disappointed.

Ive gotten price quotes for 3 different services (brake fluid change, fuel pump replacement, and brake job) and his quotes were significantly higher than not only other local shops but the DEALERSHIP as well. The service can be as good as can be but the price is not justified and loyal customers should do a little more research.

Service here is terrible, this was my second time here just to do a tire repair he was about to close and you can tell the owner; name Lee by the way; was upset that I came the last min, the service was pretty fast a little to fast so I asked what exactly did he do to fix it. He starts to get all angry saying why I ask him that question. That Im accusing him for not doing his job all I ask what did he do because I was curious, he showed me the seal that his crew put on the tire then says this is the last service he will do for me that I lost a great mechanic....BS 14 years he states that he had this shop and still lack customer service. My advise if you dont mind the harsh remark from this shop then by all means go there but in my opinion Ill would look else where.

GREAT service!! Ive been going there since 2005 - I have always been treated fairly and honestly.Prices are lower than local competitors - Ive done plenty of repairs myself over the years, but its easier and cheaper to let them do it.

I called ahead of time explain the situation with my truck he just told me to bring it in not giving me a chance to explain that I had tried to repair it myself. When I got there with the tow truck he told me he wouldnt work on it because I had attempted to do the repairs and told me to take it to the dealership. I understand he didnt want to work on it because had tried to do the repairs myself but he continue to berate me while I was talking to the tow truck driver trying to figure out where I could take my truck.Over all he was very rude and unprofessional.

I was recommended this place by a neighbor. I brought my Ford Fusion there for an oil change and tire rotation. First of all the owner thought my car was a hyundai even though it says ford all over it. That shouldve been my first warning. Then one of the mechanics pulled too hard on my hood release and broke it. I told them to fix it and they said OK. They then told me that I needed a brake job so I asked if I could look. When I went in the garage they wouldnt take the wheel off to show me but insisted they needed to be done today. I then noticed that they improperly put my car on the lift and was bending the body panel into my door (see pic). When I pointed this out to them they got defensive and said that it is supposed to be like that. I asked if they fixed my hood release and he said no, why would I do that? I said he should fix it because he broke it. He said it was already broken. Be warned they are liars and dont know what they are doing, keep your car away.

I came here for flat tire on both of my rear tires. Other places asked me to replace both tires but Mr. Lee advised me to just patch both tires since they are relatively new and patching should do the job. I think i found my mechanic and would definitely come back here.

Lee has serviced our VWs for 15 years. Always a good experience at a fair price. Hes located right on the Metrobus route if we need to leave the car. Highly recommend.

This place is terrible - how about Lee takes my car and says next time try to come not during lunch. Who says that??? He then proceeded to pick apart my car - and I had it -- I told him to take my car off the lift and I would go somewhere else. He said why you get mad - and then we argued for like 8 min about how he told me to not come during lunch time - idiot business owner ... go at your own risk
