Be aware the flyer they sent with reduced price!! They do not accept same price when call for an order by giving excuse of price went up before the last day mention in flyer/catalog. Worst customer services at all!
I was recently at Rhode Island Novelty. I was impressed with the people I met. They went out of their way to help me even though they were not opened due to Covid. I will definitely be back.
Dont ever give review, but this place was amazing. The customer service was great. I sent a request in and they gave me all the information I needed and received what I wanted.
I should have read the reviews, before I ordered from them. SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED. When you check out, you are given a max that they will bill your credit card to include shipping. They ship the product, then send you an invoice. The shipping was 73% higher! AND they billed my credit card the other 73% for shipping???? I emailed and called to cancel, because UPS said they had not received the package. They said they would take care of it. I get an email that night(5:45 Central time) that UPS had received the package and it was on the way! I called the next day and they said they would have UPS return the package and credit me in 2 weeks????? What a rip off! I called again on Friday, because UPS notified me that the 2 packages would delivered on Saturday? I called again. They tried to give me a 30% discount on the freight charge. I said no, I would not deal with a company with bad business practices. Guess what I recd a small box on Saturday and I guess the other one was returned. There is NO WAY 1/2 of my order was in that small box. Now I have to deal with waiting on a return authorization and taking the package to the UPS office. AND still wait to be reimbursed.
Today I had the most amazing help from Larry the customer service representative who went above and beyond to solve my return problem. A big thank you to him for making my day end on a happy note! I would recommend buying from Rhode Island Novelty as I have always had great service!
Have purchased from Rhode Island Novelty for over 10 years for our church festival prizes and they have ALWAYS served us well. Have very rarely experienced an issue, but when there was an out of stock situation or damaged shipment they worked with me to find alternatives that both met our needs and arrived in a timely way. Every so often we have checked prices and RI has typically had both good prices and inventory to meet delivery schedule. First class organization!
I called up and asked for some help on ordering some kids party giveaways for communion party.Ordered on Tuesday before 1 p.m. and received it the next day on Wednesday. Good quality products sunglasses glasses inflatable rock band set and Neon gangster hats. I will definitely order from this company again to make my DJ gigs a knock out.

I ordered 8 novelty torches with a fan and light for an induction ceremony event we have and tested the first one before preparing them. When it was time for us to pack for the venue, I placed 4 batteries in each and discovered 3 of the 8 were functional. When I called the company to resolve it, they said they were fully aware of the issue. They had no replacement solution. Why would they knowingly sell items they knew were defective? I would recommend never ordering from this company.
I ordered some stuffed dogs with fixed leashes for my sons puppy themed party and I am impressed with both how quickly the packaged was shipped and with the quality of the 11 dogs. They are soft and well made and will make the perfect adoptable puppies for my sons party.
Website ordering is supposed to be a convenience, however with this site, do not order on the web, order by phone. At checkout on their website, they tell you, how much to be charged in total with shipping, this happens with every order on their site no matter who you are, they do charge ALOT more than normal for shipping, and then when order is not shipped within a timely manner, you have to call up, and find out that their credit department is holding your order because you owe them MORE shipping money, then they get back to you a day later saying that they are now shipping it after they take your money hostage, and a week goes by then they finally ship it. This has happened to me 3x times in a row and another business we know did the same thing to them. Their website ordering is not a convenience its a inconvenience.
Great expierience!! Originaly I had ordered 500 bouncy balls from them but I only received 247 which is less than half. Once I got in contact with them they sent me a full shipment of 500 balls seperate from the 247. Great experience and they corrected their mistake promptly.

I ordered 2 large bears for my grand kids for christmas and the shipper says they left them on my daughters porch she was home all day waiting and no one knocked on the door and no package was on her porch when i got the email confirmation. I am now being told that it is my responsibility to deal with this thru the shipper who told m to contact rhode island novelty so after speaking with someone at ups and being again directed back to rhode island novelty now i am being told i have to wait for 7-14 for and investigation thru ups and if i want the product for my grand kids i have to reorder and spend another 91.00. I will never order with this company again and will not recommend to anyone. If it was not christmas time I wouldnt be upset but these were gifts
Absolutely disappointed with this company. My sons school had a holiday gift shop and one of his friend purchased the frog splat-ball and within a couple of minutes of playing it splattered and the chemicals in the toy burst into both of his eyes. The after school daycare frantically reached out to me, as a healthcare provider I asked them to flush his eyes for ten minutes two times until I can get to him. I get to him and take him to urgent care and then get referred to ophthalmologist. I contacted the school to make them aware of this toy and to protect other children who may have purchased this toy. I researched the toy and saw previous same injuries to other little children and parents asking for splatballs to be recalled. The schools other company that does these shops, tried to show me a ceritificate of the product safety, from a third party chinese company. I then call Rhode Island and only ask for the material safery date sheet on this toy. They email it to me and then within a couple of hours I get a personal phone call from the manager,Kyle. They apologize and send him a huge box of small toys and gum, and a letter, to make him feel better but personally I knew it was a way to try to keep my mouth shut.They do not have a warning label of eye exposure on this toy, only a choking hazard. On your website you advertise this toy as water-filled,which in fact it contains chemicals to preserve the water from bacterial growth,and it has warning of exposure and how to handle those chemicals in the material safety data sheets. I have the last email stating the manager would pass it along and get back to me. It is now March. HAVE NOT RECEIVED any response. I also emailed them multiple times giving them more time to respond back to me trying to be patient and I have still recieved no replies, not even a call!!! It is unfortunate that it could not be resolved and the toy out of the hands of children.
Even though I have repeatedly asked this firm to stop sending catalogs to my address I continue to get them addressed to the doctor who moved from her 16 years ago. They ask you to recycle and boast about their green roof of solar panels...how about saving some trees and stop mailing unwanted catalogs.
Nice stuff at a nice price. Just expensive!

This company is not cheap anymore. They markup shipping costs over 20% for UPS, we compared it using our UPS with addresses and they refuse to use our UPS account. We will not be buying here anymore and DO NOT make the same mistake! Buyer beware!

They never give you the shipping costs. In the end you end up paying much more for the merchandise than you canPay at local wineries. Very bad customer service.
