Danny and his crew were beyond amazing! Extremely knowledgeable, kind, safe, and patient. Neither me or my father are expert fishermen but they made us feel like we were! The boat was immaculate and Danny navigated through the waves like it was nothing. After all was said and done the crew cut up the tuna we caught into steaks and gave us additional advice on the best way to cook it! I would do this every day if I could, trust me when I say this is 100% worth it! Thanks again Danny

Went out for a 3/4 day with Captain Danny and the crew when we were in Puerto Rico for 3 days. Easy drive if you are staying in Luquillo.We caught 3 barracuda within the first hour of fishing and enjoyed the beautiful boat ride as we continued to hunt for larger prey.Everyone was friendly, professional, and most importantly knowledgeable about where to have the best odds of success in catching fish.We will certainly be back, would recommend to all.

I would recommend doing business with Maguro to anyone interested in fishing while in Puerto Rico. The captain was extremely helpful regarding booking the charter. He also was willing to answer any other questions we had regarding our stay in Puerto Rico. Very good communication and and excellent Captain.

Capt. Danny and his crew (including his very helpful son) had the boat ready to go the minute we arrived. It was spotless and the gear in top shape. Our first strike hit before all the baits were in the water! A good start and the bite was nice and steady all day. Even during the slow moments we had a great time learning about different fishing techniques and swapping stories. A super captain, great fishing and a terrific day. Thanks Maguro!

We spent a great day fishing with Maguro Fishing Charters. Dan and crew were wonderful. One of our group was a bit nervous about going out, and they were so patient and relaxed about it. We all caught fish, i think 11 Barracuda in all. It was just a super experience. I highly recommend using them if you want a fun, exciting day of fishing. These guys take care of everything.

As for my first deep sea fishing tour this was a great experience! I got to see many things I had never seen in my life (and Ive lived in PR for 28 years now) I got to see a huge fish jump in the air TWICE! We saw a feeding frenzy by big fishes and a SHARK! That was so cool! Also I got to see flying fish... lots of them. And best part of all we caught a Barracuda... I cant believe I waited this long to do this tour... The location was very easy to find. Once I arrived and got on board, we were briefed by the Captain. He was very clear with safety procedures, weather, what to expect and our destinations. The boat was very clean and neat. Both Captain and Mate were very professional and always looked out for the members on the boat. We were constantly asked if we were OK and if we needed any refreshments. The engines seemed well maintained, no bad smell and they were quiet. That made it very comfortable. Also the Captain would talk to us about what kind of fishes to expect and where. You can tell this is passion for the sport because his knowledge is very wide. We would ask questions and he had all the answers. These people know what theyre doing! I highly recommend everyone to try this sport and Captain Sosa and his crew are the best guys to go with. I personally guarantee you will have a great experience. Its not only the fishing part is how they complement it with the service and enthusiasm.

As a local angler, I have already done a couple of split charters with Maguro Fishing Charters and Captain Danny Sosa. I first went out in August and had to come back again in September. At the beginning, he gives you a very thorough safety briefing which pretty much guarantees your safety. It relaxes me to know that I am in good hands. He is very specific and serious about allowing me to book only if I agreed that he is taking me into a fishing trip, and not a catching trip. Even though, I know fishing is fishing, he makes sure (about 5 times to specify that) I have been out on Maguro 2 a very comfortable and elegant ride. 100% clean operation. It even has a very clean bathroom, very cold refreshments and a good variety as well. Top of the line fishing gear. Captain knowledge of the waters and in combination with his interpretation of the fishing software makes this operation one of the most productive I have ever been on. We saw a big feeding frenzy. Huge tunas jumping, some sharks scaring them but a neat scene to watch. It was like watching National Geographic live. A couple of big fish hit the lines and they got off. After explaining the other angler how to let the fish run and pump and reel, the captain was not upset that we lost several fish due to handling the rod. One of the disadvantages of a split. I wish I could afford to go private. This way I can fight them all. The website pictures supports all the possibilities one can expect. I am definitely will come back again. I will be checking again for the split charter schedule, because I know one of these day, I will hook up into a Blue Marlin. I wish he will have enough customers to do vertical jigging split charters which is his signature technique. I will highly recommend anyone to try Maguro Fishing Charters, specially, the premium spot. This is not the most economical operation but definitely worth paying the extra bucks. Check out his son. At only 14 years old Daniel is a very passionate and has a lot of knowledge about fishing, what to look for, stepping in the gunnels looking for debris (beginning of the food chain as he explains it) He is very jealous of his boats as he wishes to take on the business. Captain Danny went above and beyond. Our group was originally set to go out on a Friday and the weather was awful, there was no lightning so technically he didnt have to do anything. Instead he re-booked us for Sunday afternoon which allowed a couple more members of the wedding party to make the charter.It was a great day on the boat. We hooked and landed a 35 pound Wahoo, saw tons of flying fish and a tuna boil. Fishing is fun, catching is even better, but the best thing is spending time on a clean and safe boat with a seasoned Captain so that you have nothing to worry about but having fun with your friends! Fished 7 times over last few years. Always a first class operation from boat to tackle to crew. Fishing is fishing and results vary according the whims of nature. Any non fishing references from restaurants to other experiences are always great.

We were looking for a last minute offshore fishing trip, and Danny hooked it up! I had the best time, ear to ear grinning from the time we left the dock till we got back. The boat was clean and well kept, and he made us feel so comfortable, like we were out on our own boat. He nails it on the head when he says he offers elegance and safety. He was thorough but easy going, which made you want to follow his rules. He is an amazing host, took photos and texted them as we were fishing. He played music of our choice, while used his unique trolling method. His deck hand was on his game, they sure know how to run a fishing trip like clockwork. Made memories that will last forever and he took photos that are priceless. His kind approach to teaching us what to do, was simple and easy to follow. Considering neither of us had much deep sea experience, I was able to reel in a bad ass barracuda. We got great shots and then set him free. He went out of his way to accommodate us, and work with our small group of two. I would go out again with Danny in a heart beat, there was no stress, lots of fun, and excitement. He is knowledgable, tells you about the area and techniques he uses that clearly work. If your in Puerto Rico, want to go fishing, theres nobody better than Danny! I highly recommend his charter, he texts you everything before hand so its conveniently on your phone. By far the best thing we have done yet in PR. Captain Danny operates a professional, fast, safe, clean and modern fishing boat. The crew is polite, extremely hard-working and smart and can accommodate fisherman that are experts or novice. Captain Danny is a world-class angler who knows the Puerto Rican Waters. He works extremely hard to put you on high quality fish. We caught an array of species including grouper of various subspecies, red snapper, yellowtail snapper, Jack, large barracuda and exotic lizard fish. The accommodations were amazing including a wonderful lunch prepared by his wife which included delicious sandwiches on gourmet bread, fresh fruit and cold drinks. Captain Dannys fishing gear is state-of-the-art including conventional reels for left-handed fisherman. Captain Danny is an expert at various styles of fishing including trolling, vertical jigging, drifting, bottom fishing, and stand up techniques. I have fished with a number of fantastic captains on the East Coast (MA, RI, NY, NJ, DE, MD, NC and FL), on the West coast (long-range San Diego 10 day trips) and many private charters. Captain Danny Charter is equal to the best charters in the USA and I highly recommend his company. I plan to make this a regular fishing trip and cant wait to go again. This was my fourth trip in 2 yrs, with the Maguro guys. Nothing but kudos to give, nice operation, very well kept boats and the advantage to fish the Atlantic or the Caribbean as a second bad weather option, gives this charter an unparalleled edge over other charters on the island. Kingfish, dorados,tunas, wahoo and marlin, all within range of the Maguro boats.
