Master Sumler is amazing. He works hard to create an environment where every is met where they are in their process of learning and no questions go unanswered. He is a a truly wonderful instructor. It is blatantly apparent how passionate he is about the practice of Tang Soo Do and VSK Jiu Jitsu. His openness as an individual helps facilitate an amazing learning environment.If you want a great school with a great instructors that is eager to create even better instructors from their students, look no further.

This school is amazing!! The kickboxing class is like none orther. This classs isnot your typical dance choreography class. This class will work your body to the core while learning self defense and self control which are great tools to have in life. SMA also offers karate lessons for children as young as 3. Ill surely be back!

I have been a student of Grandmaster Sumler for over 10 years and been able to learn not only the highest level of karate but also skills that have served me well in other parts of my life. He not only turns out quality martial artist but quality people. I have seen various instructors and martial arts school around the country and without a doubt Sumlers School of Martial Arts is not only Ohios Finest Martial Arts Academy but one of the finest anywhere period.

Have been with the school for about five years, first as a parent (my sons were both involved) and as an adult student. In both settings easily one of the best decisions my family made. Mr. Sumler is an outstanding teacher and mentor and truly has a gift for working with children at all levels. Not only teaching skills, but instilling confidence and independence along with discipline and self-value. The adult class is always challenging and you always learn something new!! You will also find that Mr. Sumler and Mr. Pringle promote a family atmosphere and are truly invested in the growth of all the students. If you are at all interested or if your child is interested I cant think of a better place to train!!

Great Experience boosting confidence building athleticism and learning self defense.

Master Sumler’s teaches young men and woman how to be good people before they learn martial arts. His biggest focus is to empower young ladies as his mother was a big advocate of girl power. I am so happy with the way his school has developed. Anyone that comes to the school in the past ten years have never left. He truly teaches the thought of the village taking care of each other and your peers being there for you through thick and thin.

There are not enough great things I can say about the school and Mr. D. It has been one of the best experiences for my son. The instructors are talented, knowledgeable and wonderful with the kids. Joining this program is and will continue to prepare my son at how to be successful at school, for other athletic activities and life.

Mr. Sumler really cares about his students and goes above and beyond. He is also an excellent and thorough instructor who truly knows what he’s doing and takes the time and energy to make sure his students understand what they’re doing too. Besides being an amazing teacher, he’s a genuinely good man and is a wonderful role model.

Great karate school good with kids

My son was really shy and lacking confidence. Sumlers got him out of his shell and looks forward for every class. Classes are fun interactive confident building family oriented school. Would recommend Sumlers School.
