Moved in last year, which marks our first and last year here in this complex this January. Initially, the place was nice, and the area was pleasant. The park made it worth it for me to move in because of my Dog. At the time, the complex barely transitioned to Berkshire. Fast forward 10months, our Lease is about to expire and the contract added 15% of current rent. Thats $250+ increase on our rent. How come? We have no clue. Any changes? improvements? Lets see. Units were painted, pool was cleaned, gym/office/shared laundry renovated. That entire year we were unable to use the gym, the pool, our apartment with in-unit laundry took 3months before washer-dryer was delivered and hooked up which means we had to use the shared laundry machines that only had 2working washers and 4 working heaters. WITH NO IMPROVEMENTS THEYRE INCREASING RENT BY $250+. TIME TO MOVE ON TO A PLACE WHERE THE MANAGEMENT CARES MORE ABOUT THE TENANTS AND ARE NOT MONEY HUNGRY.
Worst Experience. Everything broke all of the time . They charge you for things you may not even use . When I moved out I had the apartment in tip top shape and still didn’t any of my refund back. Apartment is small. Definitely would not recommend living here . Terrible experience!
Rent is to high, things get stolen. Over watering, mud puddles everywhere. Dumpsters & recycling always overflowing. Walls are super thin. Apartment is super small.
Lovely apartment complex in a quiet area of Fairfield. The Office was very helpful with all my questions over the phone since I am moving to the area and the tour of the property was great. I want to thank Miss Jackie for the last minute tour I can see theres been alot of renovation both on the exterior and interior of this location.Pros: Big park with field for my kids to play right across the street.Bike trail also right off the property.New appliances in the unit.
I agree with the previous review. I have lived here since 2012 and never had any issues with the previous owners. The complex was in good condition and the office manager Theresa always returned my calls promptly. Ever since Berkshire took over things have changed completely - and not for the better. There are indeed multiple washing machines and dryers that are broken and the ones that do work are in dire need of maintenance. The office no longer returns my calls - sometimes I even need to call 2 or 3 times to get a response. I have still been unable to renew my lease leaving me in a very uncertain and stressful holding pattern since October 2018. Every time I have asked about what was going on for the last 5 months Ive been blown off and told that there were multiple other residents in the same position. If you have multiple residents with the same concern good customer service to the people that pay to live here would be to at least provide them with an occasional update to where they are in the process. Instead there has been NO communication and Ive pretty much had to leave nasty messages to get a response. When I finally did receive the lease renewal offer they are increasing the rent of my tiny studio more than 10%. On top of all the stress I then could not log into the online portal to review my lease and was also told I could not review the lease until I provided proof of renters insurance. I uploaded the proof of renters insurance a week ago and there is still no lease to view.If I provided this kind of customer service at my job I would get fired. I am VERY disappointed with the kind of service I have received since Berkshire took over. I really hope this post will motivate this company to take better care of its residents.
I have lived at the Mediterranean Village since February 2001, and I am still here. Obviously, I love this complex. I started out in a 2-bedroom, but downsized in 2008 to a one-bedroom, which I absolutely love. The property is beautiful, the staff is helpful and I enjoy my neighbors very much.
I have lived here since 2007. It used to be a nice place until Berkshire took over. There are only 2 working washers out of 6 in the laundry room and only 4 working dryers out of 8. They won’t fix them. Anytime you ask them about it they say “we just had a meeting about it this morning “ . When you call they never answer nor do they return your messages. There are 5 people living in a 1 bedroom apt next door which is illegal. This is not luxury living by any means.
Ever since berkshire took over from Mediterranean village its been a nightmare to live here. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent from here. Terrible customer service especially from the property manager jackie, theyve drained the pond and it smells putrid all around it, and they never give you notice when there is construction going on.
Nice Apt complex;)
I agree with everything in the past few reviews. This place has been poorly managed ever since the Berkshire company took over. They do not care about their tenants, they only want a return on their investment from buying this place. DO NOT RENT HERE!
