We recently had a major kitchen renovation done by Cornerstone. The project included structural changes, a new window, cabinets, floors, appliances and countertops. Pretty much a complete gut renovation. The results were outstanding and completely exceeded our expectations on every count.The owner, Russ, managed every detail of the project from start to finish. He has an excellent eye for design and helped guide us through the process. He helped us make choices that ended up looking great. He took the time to explain how all the various elements and design choices would tie together.One of the best things about working with Russ was his honesty and integrity. He delivered on all his promises including finishing the project in time for our Thanksgiving celebration. He stayed within the established budget and on more than one occasion absorbed additional work when the inevitable unexpected happened. I even had the county inspector tell me how knowledgeable Russ is and that his understanding of the venting requirement of our range certainly saved us from failing a final inspection. Apparently, this is a tricky subject that is often missed by contractors.Ultimately, the biggest challenge in taking on a significant renovation is finding a competent contractor who you can trust. With Russ and Cornerstone, you will have both.

Timing, quality, and communication were exceptional. I had a very bad experience with two different big name regional contractors. I came to Cornerstone wounded and frustrated. I was in a bad state of mind and already months in a hotel room with young kids.Cornerstone did the entire work in a timely, professional manner. They took care, not just in the physical work, but also in helping me adjust to the process. They were also helpful In dealing with my insurance company.I went from zero communication with a huge firm for 6 weeks to almost daily communication with Cornerstone. Cornerstone Design installed two wall mounted heater/AC units in our den and my home office. Trustworthy and excellent. These are the two best words to describe 1-what it is like working with Cornerstone and 2-the quality of their work. The installation required breaking into walls, running wiring throughout the walls and attic, and installing the units over an existing paint job. The job was flawless. We love their work.

We were extremely pleased with the work that Cornerstone did for us. Our project was a near total remodel of the entire first floor of our home - kitchen, living, dining, family, laundry and powder rooms as well as a complete fireplace make over. He replaced exterior doors, added windows that brightened our home and reworked structural and non-structural walls to create a more modern open flow. Russ is a trustworthy professional who listened to our ideas and brought them to fruition better than we envisioned. He addressed all our questions and concerns, was hands-on and communicated with us throughout the entire process. His subs were considerate, dependable and extremely competent. This was a large, 12 week project that Cornerstone completed on time and on budget. Our next home project is remodeling the basement. Without a doubt, Cornerstone will be our top choice to take that on.
